The staff as well as the owner were extremely disrespectful to us when we came to the restaurant. This was our first time dining at the establishment and if they treat others the way we were treated, they will not be in business for long. The staff yelled at us, berated us, and told us they refused to serve us. The owner even went as far as telling us to "shut our mouths and leave". This is a small town, and curtesy goes a long way. I wish them the best of luck as they will be their own downfall. There's professionalism, respect, and then there's straight question as to how they will stay in business with these experiences they are providing in the community. Wish they asked how the food was because I asked for eggs over medium but they were cooked over easy, common issue everywhere, runny whites Yuck. Very unorganized because they have no idea how many guest per party plus who and what parties arrived first. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were seated in the middle of heavy foot traffic at an uncomfortable table. The space felt messy and unclean, which made it hard to relax. We did not even unwrap our silverware. When we decided to leave and explained why, the response from our server was very rude and was handled in front of other customers. Was interested in trying this place as I love Old Town and patronizing it's businesses. Walked in this morning. There was no one at the hostess podium. Sign said please wait to be seated. Waited a bit, no one ever came to the front to acknowledge us. A bell chimes somewhat loudly when the door opens, so it's not like we snuck in. I'd give this place a solid 3.5. Before traveling hope we stopped here for breakfast. As the other reviews say it's quite dated. I'd say it's stuck in the 1990's and oddly enough they were playing 90s music while we ate our breakfast which was a vibe. The host was quick to seat us and get us coffee which was great, and the coffee was actually pretty good. Now to the food. My boyfriend ordered his steak medium and it was well done. It was a bummer but he said it was still good ( we are pretty easy going). The blueberry waffle was pretty good. It would've been nice if the food was fresh from the kitchen, it wasn't hot when we got it but we were hungry. The prices weren't bad overall minus the up charge for subbing sausage for fruit. I think the portions were a little small compared to other breakfast spots but still not bad. I'd say it's a nice change from going to Dennys or IHOP for sure. First time and last time at this location. Came in at 12:30pm on Presidents' Day, it didn't too busy at all. I walked up to the counter and before I could even say a word, the staff member said she'd be right with us. Waited patiently for more than 10 minutes but didn't get acknowledged at all again. Several staff members walked past us, avoided eye contact, and failed to update or check in on us. Because of this I felt, the service or lack thereof, was rude and didn't want or care to serve us. I at breakfast here for the first time after going to the Saturday morning farmers market. Since I use a Rollator I could not get up the steps into the restaurant but I was happy to sit at the tables on the sidewalk. More places are having to do this so {shrug} I ordered the Chile verde omelet with country potatoes and biscuit and gravy. They serve lunch and breakfast all day (they close at 2). My husband ordered a tri tip dip sandwich with fries. I thought that was pretty brave of him since it didn't look like this was a place that sold a ton of tri tip. Well, he said it was good, so shame on me :) The chile verde was ok, not the best, but definitely not the worst I've had. The potatoes were a bit salty and not crispy. But not the worst potatoes I've eaten either. The biscuit wasn't fresh. We went here for breakfast/brunch. The food was okay. The scramble that my hubby got was supposed to have shredded pork but had cubed ham. The crepes were good but I felt the chunks of apples could have been chopped smaller. My kid had pancakes which were okay but we've had better. The lowers stats are for the slow service. There was just one other table and it took about 15 min for the waitress to take a drink order. And they didn't have ice tea though flavors are advertised on the table. She was fast with bringing the check though! Music with some curse words was blasting --we hated that. The lighting situation was terrible. For breakfast and brunch you expect light and bright but it was so dark. Light fixtures had missing bulbs and the dark drapes didn't help. The restroom wasn't the cleanest either. Smelled like pee was in the floor. Perhaps if another waitress was hired? Maybe that would help along with removing those heavy drapes. Replace the non working lights with soft yellow lighting. And consider hiring a professional decorator for the holidays--this place could be something special if more time and thought was out on the ambiance, service and housekeeping. read more

Came here for the first time for breakfast today on the recommendation of a clerk at the Social Security office. I know, go figure.! was greeted immediately and the server sat us down at a table. We noticed it was very clean and the staff were very nice. We each had the ham and cheese omelette with biscuits and gravy. The food was delicious. The hashbrowns and omelette were cooked perfectly. The biscuits were so soft and fluffy and not heavy like most biscuits are for biscuits and gravy. The gravy was delicious too. First off once we ordered it took about 20 minutes to get our food, which would understandable if the place was crowded, but it wasn't our order was a hamburger on sourdough and BLT. Then the BLT was DRY, the bacon was way over cooked, I like crispy bacon but this was like cardboard, it was served on sour dough which I almost chocked on, When they came with the bill, about $35.00, and asked how everything I told them, not good. I only ate 1/4 of the sandwich, they said sorry about that but never offered to replace the sandwich or take it off the bill.
