My daughter dragged me in here because she is hooked on these bagels. I can see why because these are the best bagels outside of New York. Always boiled, made from scratch, in a variety of flavors. I believe there is a daily 'special' bagel or sometimes a weekly one. Just don't ask them to toast your bagel because they won't. Truthfully these bagels don't need toasting anyway as they are wonderfully fresh and delicious just the way they are. They do offer a wide variety of shmears and will even give you a little taste so you can make an informed decision. Problem is that you make actually like way too many of those and then you have to come back a lot so you can make your way through the entire offering. Always excited to go to Jeff's. This was our first time at this location, which I must say is a great addition to the neighborhood. We used to live in this neighborhood, and I would have definitely frequented here. I opted for the bagel of the day, garlic sesame, and my usual onion and chive cream cheese. The cream cheese serving is definitely enough for two. My husband and I shared it. He had the cacio e pepe, which he loved. I'm rooting for this business. This place is your usual hipster vibe, with very friendly staff. I walked in, wanting to try a smaller chain's bagels, especially after reading about the New York style bagels. The types of spread ranged from sweet to savory, with quite a bit to try (if we were to go back). My issue was three fold. First; the bagel couldn't be toasted, and even though the gentleman said they were just baked, when we ate them minutes later, they were cold (felt like they just came out of a fridge). The second issue was the smear wasn't spread on, and they definitely have a large markup on the spread rather than the bagels. The third issue was the overall price. Seeing two bagels go from $2 a bagel to almost $10 total was a bit much. The bagels themselves were good, and so was the cream cheese (we got veggie) and if they just toasted it, and applied the cream cheese, I'd probably be hard pressed to not give them more stars, but, this is where they lose it. My thoughts (they're looking to grow considerably soon it seems), spread the cream cheese and heat the bagels, and you'll go far. read more

Wow move over NY you have some competition!! So I'm a bagel guy always have been. I like my everything breakfast bagel, my Taylor ham and eggs bagel toasted, my cinnamon with butter and a good Asiago with onion and chive. Well I stumbled upon this new bagel shop in the O-town and they have a spin on the way things are made. Jeff's bagels makes all the dough the night before and the bakers come in at 4:30 in the morning to start pumping out freshly baked bagels. Because they are fresh they don't toast them. I know I thought but bagels have to be toasted. But hear me out, don't turn around and walk away or decide not to stop in. You will be disappointed when you hear others rave about this place or you end up trying it. I had to order a variety of items to really dig in and get a good review. I went with the recommendation of a freshly baked warm everything bagel with lox and strawberry cream cheese. I know I thought the same thing as you. What?! But I have to say this combo sent my Brain on overload so much was going on. First off let me tell you, I've had everything bagels at more places than I can count. I've been all around the Northeast, up and down New York and Jersey eating bagels. In all my years I have never, I mean NEVER had a bagel that you could taste every seasoning. Seriously this was a party in my mouth. There's so much more I want to review but why waste your time with a review, trust me get off this app and go check them out. Now a disclaimer people are going to complain about they are a bakery and because of that they can't make breakfast sandwiches and they can't put the spreads on the bagel. I found this place on instagram and was excited to try when we went to visit my son in Florida. I loved that the women taking our order said they never toast their bagels . We are from New Jersey and I was expecting something similar. The selection of bagels was great and they had some interesting flavors of cream cheese. We ate ours pretty soon after we left but the bagel was so soft . When they give you the bagels they wrap them in paper and I think the heat steams them and makes them soggy. Such a shame , I wanted that real bagel crunch and soft inside. I actually could only eat the top as the bottom was mush . We were staying at a resort a mile down the road and had meant to go to the restaurant a couple doors down but because of the line, we went to Jeff's and we were so glad we did! Some of the best bagels we have had in a long time and the staff were very friendly and fast. We got the asiago, rosemary salt, sesame, plain and poppy seed. I personally love that the spreads come on the side, it allows you to try more. We got the cookies n cream (for our kids), the veggie and jalapeño. My kids called it a "vacation bagel" and we're beyond satisfied. It was the best jalapeño spread my husband has had, so good, not too spicy but good heat. I love this bagel spot. The bagels are fresh, soft and very tasty. I also love the cream cheese options, you can literally smell the bagels from the parking lot when you get out of your car. Service is always warm and friendly. The only only reason why I am not giving this place 5 stars, is because I really wish they offered breakfast sandwiches like a bacon, egg and cheese or something. Went in on a weekend late morning, a few weeks ago, and was so glad to see they still had their seasonal pumpkin left. I tried the pumpkin bagel, with the cinnamon sugar cream cheese and a pumpkin spice latte and it was so delicious. Their coffee is actually so good which is so nice to know in case you want some thing other than just Starbucks or Dunkin. And my partner got the asiago bagel and the vegetable cream cheese and both of which were amazing. The bagels are super soft since they are boiled and they have a nice crust on the outside, but they are not hard or crunchy. They also have several selections of cream cheese that you can mix and match with your bagel. Something else that's nice is they give you everything to go so your bagel isn't sitting there with cream cheese getting melted or soggy. Plus it allows you to put as much or as little as you want on your bagel or you can dip it instead of spread it! If you couldn't tell by the amount of times I've checked in to this location, I'm obsessed with Jeff's Bagels haha. Their bagels are always fresh - even when you get enough for the week and don't have them the day they're made. Their flavors of the day are unique and the best ones are the cinnamon sugar and pizza. The Asiago is also absolutely delicious so I'd highly recommend that one if none of the daily flavors speak to you. Their cookies and cream spread as well as their chive and onion spread are our go-to options. Always absolutely perfect and I wish I could replicate it at home. I greatly appreciate that they have decaf coffee and oat milk as I don't drink caffeine and don't like dairy milk. Their iced cinnamon vanilla latte has never steered me wrong (although maybe I should take the leap and try the banana bread latte).
