Never had a disappointing experience in this restaurant. The service was friendly, and food was very tasty. The pizza slice was huge. It was really good. The shrimp taco was very nice also. The lime juice definitely gave it a nice kick. The iced coffee was standard. The restaurant was clean with ample seating. There were lots of young people around ready to clean. A really upsetting experience occurred here and I'm afraid it was a seriously racist interaction that occurred. My friends went here and ordered food and drinks and once they were finished eating, they were approached by security regarding cups they brought into the establishment prior to ordering food. I don't have a full understanding of the interaction that occurred, but the solution a particular security guard had, tells me I didn't need to. It sounds like one of the guards (white man) was concerned my friends might be taking liquor out of the restaurant in their cups. Ultimately it was a misunderstanding and the security guard acknowledged it was a misunderstanding. HOWEVER, the way he went about it was completely inappropriate because the conversation between my friend and security ended with the security saying "if you don't understand what I'm saying, I will bring someone over who can explain it better to you" and he ended up bringing a black security guard over! Honestly how is it 2026 and this is peoples' mentality??? I'm disgusted by the response and solution the security thought was acceptable and I certainly will not EVER be a customer here. First of all, if the issue was outside beverages, the person taking the order should've said something in the beginning OR a staff member while my friends were dining. But it was like the security guard waited until my friends were about to leave to start something, and then the cherry on top, was bringing a black security guard over to try to explain to my black friend the issue. This is really disgusting. Please do better, Pavilion and screen/train your staff!!! I understand enforcing rules, but it never has to turn into something racial. It felt like an attack since my friends were able to go through their entire meal with zero staff interaction. It wasn't until the very end there became an issue. Other than this- $44 for a large pizza pie is outrageous. But all in all, I will skip the Pavilion next time and I hope the staff can be better trained in the area of rule enforcement AND cultural competence. read more

When in Point Pleasant , a must is having pizza pie on the boardwalk on the Jersey shore. Service was fast and the pizza was served hot. The restaurant overlooks the beach if you sit in the back.Some of the restaurant was closed for a Xmas event but the sweet security guard let us go to the secured area so could get a few pics. The pizza was surprisingly good.From the reviews, I was not sure if would like it since it was definitely different than Htown pizza. It was served in ginormous pieces and the sauce was what would hope to have. After using a few napkins to remove the extra grease on top from the cheese , a few bites and I was hooked. 2 slices later after learning the pizza jersy fold and I felt like a local. This is my new go to place to eat on the boardwalk at point pleasant. The pizza here is great and I prefer it over Martell's which is surprising as I used to always go there. They keep this establishment exceptionally clean, and I mean CLEAN. Let me paint the picture for you- you are done eating and get up and throw away your garbage and begin to leave the restaurant but before you even step out the table you were at is being cleaned and made to look ready to eat again- I'm talking fast! The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend going here if you are at the boardwalk. read more

Jenkinson's Pavilion is a mix of a restaurant, bar, tiki bar, and to go food. During the summer, the vibe is a mix of casual bathing suit wearing beach goers coming off the beach to people dressed ready to go out if you get there later at night. My family all 10 of us, went for the dinner before the Thursday night fireworks. As a side note, Jenks always has events going on during the summer months and often during the holidays during the off season. Anyway, we ate outside on the side patio. Service was fast and the server got all our orders correct. While I don't have any complaints about the food, it also wasn't great. We got a few sushi rolls and they all tasted the same. I also ordered the Mahi-mahi and it was a little under cooked for my liking. No one at the table had any complaints but also nothing overly positive to say either. Besides the restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating, there is at least two inside bars, a small little dessert and coffee stand, and a few stands for ordering to go food. There is also seating inside and outside to eat the to go food. In the back there is a tiki bar and lots of seating. Although I haven't been there for a Saturday or Friday night I'm sure that the bar scene is goos. There were lots of advertisements for weekly entertainment and there was plenty of room for dancing. The bathrooms are really nice. There is an attendant there that will stop you if you look like you're coming right off the beach and carrying a bunch of stuff. It seemed like people were trying to change out of their bathing suits, which she would point them to a public bath room locate outside the pavilion to change in. Overall, you're not going to Jenks for amazing food, you're going because it's on the beach and the arcade and rides are nearby. Go for the vibes not the food and have a good time! Parking during the summer is around $10-25. read more

The snack bar is terrible, had a bad experience where I purchased chicken fingers, and after checking the price they didn't serve me the correct quantity. Brought it up to their attention and the guy behind the grill told me since I had added condiments they couldn't take it back since they could not give it to anyone else. That is kind of gross you are suppose to throw it out and the next customer should always get fresh food. So before you get food there keep in mind it might be recycled food. read more

After a beach day we decided to grab some food and drinks.. where better to go than Jenkinsons. First time eating here. We sat outside because it was a nice day out. I ordered a Voodoo Punch rum bucket which was exactly what I was looking for. Cruzan coconut, pineapple, banana and citrus rum mixed with pineapple and cranberry juice. Then, as if that wasn't enough.. it's topped with 151. Get it and thank me later. We ordered wings to start... then ended up ordering another plate because they were fire. My girl ordered the crab dip to start but to her surprise... she doesn't even like crab dip. She's done this like twice before idk what she thinks is going to be different. I liked it but just keep in mind it's like $33. I ordered the Southwestern Taco Salad which was really good. I couldn't finish and even tho I knew the shell wouldn't last in a Togo box I couldn't resist. My girl had the beach body tacos (nothing special here) and her friend built a burger. I stopped in the food court last week with my family, which includes a toddler and infant. The food was as expected for a food court, and the service was pretty quick. My daughter LOVED the pail and shovel her meal came it. She also ate her entire cheeseburger slider. The bathrooms were also very clean considering. I must of went on the right night because they truly deserved nothing less then a five star. This restaurant is located right on the boardwalk. Therefore they do not have a private lot. I parked across the street in a municipal lot. $3 an hour. As you walk in you will find a buffet dining area. Walk towards the back left and you will find a host. At 6:30pm we were quickly sat. Undecided if we wanted to sit outside or inside; the host was awesome and sat us at a table that centered us between being indoors and out. Our waitress Michelle was awesome! She was very attentive with our table along with her other tables. For $48 we had Buffalo sliders, chicken quesadillas, a glass of wine, two chicken & fries kids meal (spend $20 get 50% of a kids meal), two kids drinks, two frisbees, two passes to the Jenkinson's aquarium (pay one adult get one kid free). I was rather impressed with the sliders! Chicken was fried just right and placed on fresh buns. Yum! They also have character dining 5-7pm on Fridays. As we ate we had the restaurant mascot and a PJ Mask character walk around greeting kids. Kids love it! There are many different areas of Jenks to rate, but I'll start with the basics and what I go here for. If you are looking for a spot to sit on the beach with access to a full bar, this is your spot. If you are looking for a family oriented and relaxing spot to hang out on the beach - keep looking! There are plenty of bar options, as the place is huge. There's an outdoor bar, and many inside. The drink options are pretty good as well. They make their own homemade orange juice, so the vodka/OJ is very refreshing. I also enjoy the jenks arnold Palmer. As for the food, they are the basic-middle of the road bar/casual restaurant food. The one item I strongly suggest are the mahi mahi tacos. It comes with two (an extra few $ you can add guacamole) and a large side of chips. The nachos are also very good and great for a good table share. To get access to the beach, it's $9 for adults on the weekdays and $10 on the weekends. Great spot if you want to have cocktails and sit on your beach chair. read more

Very disrespectful staff. Specifically the security guards. We walked in to grab a few drinks and enjoy the music. My brother had to use the restroom so, he walked out. When he walked back in the security guard said " Where is your bracelet?" Mind you no one gave us one when we walked in. He would not let him back in. The security guard said " Everyone has a chain of command to follow." Clearly your not following your command if your staff didn't give us bracelets to walk in. Did he expect us to wait on a 45 min line again? ........ Our whole night was ruined because we had all of my brothers belongings. Hidden jem on the boardwalk! You actually have to walk threw the jenkinsons food court area to the hostess station and there is beautiful outdoor seating right on the water. Dinner and a gorgeous view ! They have everything on the menu from seafood, sushi, Italian, frozen drinks, rum buckets and more! Would recommend eating here for a better dining experience rather than the fast food along the boardwalk. We were seated right away however- the tables are a bit on top of each other and we felt a bit smushed. The waitress was attentive and we got our food promptly. For appetizers we ordered the shrimp and crab quesadillas , cheese steak egg rolls , & pretzel sticks with cheese. Everything was delicious and the cheese steak egg rolls come with this yummy horseradish dipping sauce. For entrees we got the lobster rolls with parmesan truffle fries which was an absolute must! Lump lobster meat on a fresh bun with melted butter. It was delicious. This is my go to spot when coming to the point pleasant boardwalk! Would recommend. read more

Been coming here for decades. Stopped by the raw bar for some peel and eat shrimp and a cocktail. While peeling the shrimp I noticed they seemed a bit slimy. My husband too. Some were worse than others. Instead of sending them back immediately, I ate 2. My husband tried to eat one and had to spit it out. The terrible thing is when I told the kid tending bar he didn't seem at all surprised. He went over to the 20 or so pounds of shrimp on display and threw them out. It was like, ok let's try to sell these and see if anyone complains. They must have been leftover from the day before. And YES I did get sick. Very sick. This place is pretty ok. We dined here earlier in the day for lunch at the Jenkinson's Pavillion Fast Food Counter earlier in the day for lunch. For a fast food counter I had a pretty decent grilled fish sandwich. While enjoying my lunch, I noticed a sign advertising their happy hour. $1 oysters, clams, and $5 shrimp cocktail. The seafood at the raw bar was fresh, the oysters were huge, and the clams were good. There was just one problem; these fresh seafood items were not part of the happy hour seafood special. The bartender informed us that the seafood appetizers for happy hour are prepared in the kitchen. It was not the jumbo shrimp, or colossal oysters sitting on ice right in front of me. Now, I was a little surprised how good my grilled sandwich was during lunch, but I decided not to push my luck for the unknown. Thank you bartender for the heads up. There was also another down side to their happy hour. It included $2 Miller-Lite, and Coors. $2 for chilled piss water? I don't think so. :) Later that night my large party wanted to dine at another location for dinner. When that place denied us due to having three teenagers in our party, we decided to go back to Jenkinson's Pavillion. Again, the food was pretty decent. Came here to Pleasant Point Beach over the weekend with some friends. This place is next to the boardwalk, which is very convenient. The food and service is not the best, but what can you expect when you have a bunch a teenagers cooking your food. There was a band playing at the time we seated, which was really loud. The waitress was kind of rude and he had to scream so she can hear our order. I guess she was towards the end of her shift, because she was all over the place. Three stars because the drinks are good. Highly recommend the rum punch. Overall not a good experience. read more

There are great views of the beach from the bar! The boardwalk is completely repaired and ready for customers. Not even a reminder Hurricane Sandy was even around.There is an inside bar it looks a bit old and lots of regulars. There is a nice outside bar reminiscent of a bar i'd see in Key West, small but efficient. It was a beautiful day so we sat here and had a drink. I met a few interesting characters. Across from the bar were a good amount of tables where people could order food and take in the sights of the beach .Down from there and directly on the beach were more tables with umbrellas, so basically you have your pick of where to sit. There is full waitress service. I had already eaten so we didn't order food here but i could see what people were ordering and it looked like typical beach food. The staff was friendly but lets face it your here for the beach or the views. From what i saw i still think they need to iron out some problems in the restaurant but that could be do to Sandy. I'm reviewing the fast service counter at the pavillion, where you can order fried and sauteed fish/seafood and fries as well as raw bar items. My sister and I have ordered here several times over the past few years. Overall the food is greasy and good, though not fabulous. The fries are tasty, the raw clams are usually pretty good, the calamari is very good actually, and the mussels are pretty good as well. It's brutally hot inside this area, and it can pretty unpleasant when eating, and it's also quite tight quartered, but high energy and good natured. Went here with the fam while on vacation. We had been here before, and this experience was similar to the first. The food is ok, probably 2 stars. Definitely edible, but will not knock your socks off. Between all of us we ate e crab cake sand, which my wife was not overly impressed with, a chicken advocate sand which again was average, a prime rib steak, which was tasty and huge, and two kids macaronis. The extra start for this place is given because we are able to sit outside, overlooking the water. Service is ok and friendly, and it is relaxing. Overcrowded and overpriced drinks. Went on Memorial Day weekend, so obviously I expected it to be really crowded. The amount of people in the bar tonight was definitely past max capacity. I was shoulder to shoulder with people, not even able to move to get to a bar. After pushing through everyone, I finally found my way to one where I ordered 2 strawberry margaritas. For a 12oz cup filled with ice, it was $22. The only thing I found interesting here was that there was a bartender walking around with Jell-O shots for $3, and they were really strong and tasty. There's no order to the bathroom line, where the exit/entrance to the boardwalk also happens to be. I waited for over an hour and still wasn't anywhere near the front. I have a VIP card, so I skipped the line and didn't have to pay a cover. Without it, I wouldn't come here. read more
