    Chicken tacos

Swim crush was an OK experience. The food is fairly basic and the drinks were just okay. I got the chicken tacos and blue crush drink. The drink was so sweet I almost couldn't finish it. We were waiting for them to text us our table was ready for 90 minutes before going back and seeing a million tables open. Super weird they didn't text us to tell us a table was ready. Ambiance is the reason you go here. Good music and great views right on the boardwalk

ASBURY PARK: Swimcrush AP is a restaurant right on the boardwalk and leashed dogs are allowed at the outdoor seating! Coming to you from the same owners as The Break and Low Dive, this beach bar and grill has a chill ambiance, an American food menu, and a nice drink list. The orange crush is excellent and our favorite in NJ! The view of the ocean and boardwalk are perfect. Happy Hour is weekdays from 3-6pm with $8 food specials and various drink specials. We wish we got the name of our server because she was excellent on an extremely busy evening. Brie, Hopey, and Marshmallow pregamed here before a show at the Stone Point Summer Stage.

American food @ Ashbury Park, NJ, grabbed a late lunch inside the restaurant. My husband's burger came with two thin burger patties with cheese and the chip, he said it was pretty good. The side order of fries came out hot but needed salt and pepper. My fried rock shrimp was not crispy and didn't like the sauce. The Mexican larger wasn't cold enough. The service was good and inside was spacious with a bar and TV.

Pretty good Seafood spot on the beach. We had steamed clams in garlic sauce and I enjoyed a grilled white fish sandwich which were both very good. Nice atmosphere right at the beach with good music playing and great service, the server was fantastic, a nice young lady with a great smile.

The Matcha Matcha Man was smooth, creamy, and dangerously easy to drink -- the matcha coconut cream with the ginger beer gave it such a unique refreshing kick. The Lady Marmalade tasted like sunshine in a glass with the perfect citrusy balance and just enough sweetness from the marmalade. The food menu is definitely more small plates/appetizer style, but honestly everything tasted super fresh and packed with flavor. The coconut shrimp were jumbo and crispy with the perfect sweetness, the mango habanero chicken bites super fresh, and the wagyu sliders disappeared embarrassingly fast. The real star though? The outdoor lounge setup overlooking the ocean. It's the kind of place where you go for "one drink" and suddenly it's three hours later and you're debating ordering another round just to stay for sunset. It's walk in only but wasn't too packed ...we went around 5pm but seems to have a packed late night vibe and crowd as well during summer !

My short rib ragu was actually delicious. Unfortunately, my wife saved me half her chicken dish and the piece I ate turned out to still be raw. I stopped eating once I noticed, but the damage was already done. Also, quick PSA on the dirty martini: it's shaken with blue cheese and comes out looking more like blue cheese dressing than a martini. Definitely not for everyone, so just know what you're signing up for.

The restaurant was located in a multi-floor home on Wesley Lake, just around the corner from the hustle and bustle of Cookman Avenue. The first floor was more of a bar and lounge, and they had a live jazz band on the evening we visited. We checked in with the hostess and were escorted up to the second floor dining room, which was a charming spot that was breezy and comfortable, yet refined. The floor also had its own bar. Our server was on top of things, but was also clearly newer to the place. Regardless, once we got settled, she took our drink orders, which had taken us some time to decide on since the menu was creative and vast. I went with A Sidecar Named Desire, which included Courvoisier VSOP, Cointreau, Chinola passionfruit liqueur, and fresh lemon juice. I adore passion fruit and had always liked sidecars as well, so I figured it was worth a try, and I loved it! It had a good balance of tart sweetness and smokiness. My friend similarly enjoyed her spicy margarita, and we both imbibed while picking on some bread and herb butter. For our meal, we decided to start by sharing the Greek Salad, which was a massive bowl of romaine topped with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, red onions, and Kalamata olives. We left off the feta cheese, but enjoyed the seasoned dressing made of red wine vinegar, honey, salt, oregano, and olive oil. It was a fresh and flavorful mix of vegetables that was a pleasure to eat. The entree options were endless and offered something for everyone. I wound up going with the Chilean Sea Bass, which was served over sweet onions and potatoes in a tomato herb reduction. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked. It was a light and tasty dish that seemed perfect for the Spring season. After our meals we were a bit too full for dessert, but we decided to get a second round of drinks, mainly because I was dying to try their Pistachio Espresso-Tini. Wow, was that drink delicious! It blended Ketel One Vodka, Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur, natural pistachio flavor, and fresh espresso. The coffee notes were not super prevalent, but the creaminess, nuttiness was the real highlight. It was a decadent way to end a delicious meal. After we settled the bill and headed downstairs, I noticed several bowls of after-dinner mints, which were a nice touch. From the relaxed atmosphere to the interesting and expansive menu, Moonstruck was a terrific option for our Asbury dinner experience.

We ordered fairly simple bar food--a salad, a BLT, and fish and chips--and waited nearly an hour for our meals. It took more than 30 minutes after ordering for our waitress to stop by and acknowledge the delay. She apologized and said the food should be out soon, but walked away without addressing our empty water glasses. She later came back again with the same update, and we still had no food. When the food finally arrived, the fish and chips were not hot. After bringing it to our waitress's attention, she questioned whether it was actually cold rather than offering a solution. To make matters worse, we later overheard her talking about our complaint to others. To be fair, the food itself tasted pretty good. However, it wasn't exceptional enough to justify waiting almost an hour, especially given the lack of attentive service and how concerns were handled. The restaurant has potential, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired.

We got the doggy chicken with the side of mashed potatoes and the pup cup for dessert. She dogged the chicken and mashed potatoes, but unfortunately wasn't too into the pup cup (which is a shame because it's so cute, but maybe she was full!) Now for the humans -- we ordered the sweet chili wings and a side of the sweet potato fries. The wings also come with a side of carrots and celery along with a choice of ranch or bleu cheese. I loved the sweet chili sauce and kept redipping into it. I wish the order came with more celery and carrots. The food and beers/cider came out rather quickly. The server came by every so often to check up on us and brought napkins without us having to ask! The dessert was amazing; the combination of the ice cream and the ooey gooey-ness of the cookie was the perfect end to our beach day. We barely left any whip cream. Since we went during LDW, the vibe inside was almost opposite what it was outside. But that may carry over during other times. Only downside of this visit was the wait time to be seated...and it was not because there weren't seats available. It was a bit strange standing around while the host wasn't really doing anything :/ But everything else was great!

Pascal and Sabine not only has some of the best cocktails and bartenders in Asbury but possibly NJ. I have been countless times with my wife, my kids, large groups you name it. My favorite way to experience Pascal is to sit at the bar get a couple cocktails (The Jackal is a staple), the Madame Smith Burger (my wife gets the Mr Smith) the fries are amazing, and maybe the escargot and just enjoy. It's up there with some of the most perfect nights out in Asbury you can have. Hope this 5 star review balance out a ridiculous 1 star review. - YH

Lovely hostess, great round bar seating with huge windows for people watching, and a genuinely charming and attentive bartender (Mike). We started with oysters from Newfoundland and cheese off the happy hour menu -- both great. My mom loved her lavender French 75 (a drink special), and my white wine was perfect (the name escapes me at the moment). The garlic soup deserves awards. I first had it two summers ago and still think about it -- I made my mom try it and she immediately understood my rave reviews. For entrées, her burger was cooked perfectly medium-rare, and my fish & chips absolutely hit the spot. Both came with generous portions of house-made fries and an unexpectedly addictive house honey-mustard. We had enough fries for leftovers, and I even asked for extra mustard to take home. Food, service, atmosphere, lighting, noise level -- all dialed in. A 10/10 experience!

We got the tostadas which was an interesting plate of a couple different things, the nachos which I loved, the ceviche which was ok-not your typical ceviche and bit too spicy for me, the salad which I really liked, camerones which the table liked, the pork tacos which I heard were very spicy, the chicken tacos which were good and the steak which was hands down my favorite and the yuca mash was so yummy and different. For the steak, you can only get it medium rare or well done which I is 2 complete ends of the spectrum. We are medium people, so we ended up getting a medium rare.
