    Spicy crepe

We manage to get a table on a Saturday at 9am. Our dishes were priced reasonably around $12. The spicy crepe was suppose to come with fruits but the waitress misheard me and asked if I wanted fries or hash browns. The fries were like fried potatoes. Overall, it's a great place for breakfast that's not too busy on the weekend.

When the restaurant is clean and comfortable, the service is fast and friendly, and most importantly when breakfast is cooked exactly the way I ordered it......what else is there? 5 Stars! Check the pictures for my order. The restaurant calls it the Trojan Breakfast. My wife ordered a Migas Bowl. Ha! You don't know what it is either. It is kinda' like a light version of chilaquiles. Corn tortillas, eggs, black beans, avocado, pico and fresh jalapenos. Tasty, but boringly healthy. She enjoyed it. For her safety, I tried to talk her into giving me those fresh jalapeno slices. She wouldn't negotiate. She regretted it later. Friendly young ladies working the floor. Attentive service. Everything you would want in a small-town café.

Great breakfast. Husband had the Trojan and I had the Breakfast Hash. Eggs cooked perfectly and very friendly & efficient service. Fruit was fresh. Will definitely come back.

Found this little gem of a restaurant after a 3 1/2 mile trail run in Turkey mountain on a Saturday morning. Walk in and seat yourself type atmosphere with a diner cafe feeling. Clean, friendly staff and patrons. We ordered the Turkey sandwich with onion rings and the Smashed Avocado, Bacon, 2-Eggs Over Easy with cheese Sandwich and home style potatoes. Also enjoyed delicious coffee. Fresh and healthy meal. Delicious ! We will be back to try more options we saw on the menu and specials board!

Right on Main Street, previously hidden to us. We hadn't often paid attention to all the spaces right there. Appears to be family owned. Owner told me they reopened it in August '21. The service was good. Enjoyed my Pollo chorizo omelette. Good homemade salsa & ripe avocados. Kids enjoyed the diner food breakfast options as well. Service was friendly. They have soft drinks, tea, sweet tea, lemonade and of course coffee. Enjoyed sitting at the bar stools with the kiddos. Will return

We love Jenks Restaurant!! It has the home-y diner feel that makes you wanna call your mom, and the food is outstanding!! I ALWAYS get the Belgian Waffle and Home Fries, and my husband usually opts for the Cabo Hash or the Breakfast Enchiladas. Highly recommend!!

I tried the cinnamon roll and have mixed feelings. It tasted great, but the texture was a bit…read morechewy. It was served steaming with a steak knife on the side, which told me it had been microwaved to heat it up. A warm cinnamon roll is hard to beat, but one that has been overheated is a challenge to cut and chew (remember the steak knife?). I'd prefer to have it cold rather than too hot. Otherwise the service was good considering the restaurant was packed with a Sunday morning breakfast crowd.

I've lived 60 years less than 2 miles from 61st & Memorial. How I missed the Silver Skillet until…read morenow, I can't answer, but I'm sad that I've missed this place for so long. We went on a Thursday afternoon at 4:00, so we didn't expect it to be busy. There were a few people there but not a bunch. We were promptly greeted by the hostess and shown to a booth. Our waitress brought our menus and silverware right behind the hostess. She asked if we knew what we wanted to drink and I ordered Decaf Coffee. My wife deferred to later once she knew what she was going to eat. The coffee arrived a few minutes later and I placed my order for the Belgian Waffle, 2 eggs scrambled, Hash Browns, and 2 Sausage Links. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and a side of biscuits and gravy and regular coffee. First before I forget, I am somewhat of a portly fellow. I carry about 70 pounds more than my doctor likes, and it's all right above my belt. Remember that the hostess put us in a booth, which usually is a challenge for me, because of my extra tire that I carry. But I was pleasantly surprised that this booth was spacious. It had plenty of room for us extra large folks without trying to move the table. The coffee, was good. Remember that I drink decaf coffee, so when I say it was good, thats saying a lot. I even asked the waitress if she had forgotten and brought me regular coffee and she assured me it was decaf. When the food arrived, I was so impressed by how good it looked, I forgot to take a photo, so the attached photo shows what was left when I was full. The waffle was the main thing I was after. I love waffles, and it's hard to find a good waffle. The menu claims they are Belgian Waffles, and I cannot disagree. They tasted like the Belgian Waffles I had in Paris, so I believe they are. The has browns normally don't rate a mention, but these hash browns were soft and not crunchy, and tasted like I expected hash browns to taste, from the first bite to the last. The eggs were scrambled well, which I would have preferred loose, but that's my fault for not specifying. I also ordered link sausage which was cooked as it should be. Next time I'll order bacon. The reason I avoided the bacon is that most places either burn it or leave it partially raw. Based on how the rest of my meal was cooked, I expect the bacon will be cooked right. I'm looking forward to my next visit already.
