I have only found a couple of places that cook hash browns correctly. Most establishments cook them like they do here. They don't rinse out the starch and just brown the edges and the insides are chewy and not thoroughly cooked. My biscuits were tasty and fluffy. The sausage was outstanding and flavorful. The gravy was plentiful and was wonderful. We probably won't be coming back due to the fact that the no longer serve Diet Pepsi. That one of the must haves for my wife. The gravy was standard and served the meal well. No complaints but no compliments either on the food except to say that the quality of cooking was consistent and not poorly done. The ingredients or perhaps better said the vendors chosen for sourcing of the food seems to be the biggest source of disappointment. I sampled my wife's meal of chicken tenders and onion rings and the quality definitely better. I would recommend this restaurant at this time but say don't expect great things. I might suggest avoiding the specials. I suspect that they are the enemy of the food quality. The chocolate cake was rich but somewhat dense and bland. It was adequate but not memorable. The food quality was excellent, and the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. One of the most unique parts of the visit was learning that the person seated at the table next to us was the previous owner. She is still a regular customer, and her photo is proudly displayed on the wall in the restaurant. That says a lot about the history, loyalty, and character of this place. I also accidentally left my credit card behind and did not realize it until about an hour and a half later. I called the restaurant, and the management immediately helped resolve the issue. They kindly arranged to mail it to my home in Los Angeles, and I have now received it safely. That level of honesty and customer care is rare. A special thank you to the management for handling everything so professionally, and to Heather for her kindness, attentiveness, and outstanding service. Highly recommend this spot for great breakfast, quality food, welcoming atmosphere, and a team that truly cares about its customers.
