Terrible experience. There were three workers and one customer when I walked in. I was rudely greeted & told I have to wait because they were "busy". I asked how long, they didn't tell me a time and told me they had other people coming in so I couldn't be serviced. Another lady came in about 5 mins after me and they instantly sat her down and serviced her. I was told the manicure I wanted wasn't available even though it was shown as a service I could get. The last lady sat down and drank tea for about 5 mins until I decided to leave, knowing I was waiting even tho they were "so busy". I felt discriminated against. read more

She told me to wait for the next nail lady to do my nails and proceeded to do the other girl's nails even though I arrived before her. When the nail lady that was supposed to do my nails finished, she decided to attend another client that had just arrived and told me to wait for the OTHER nail lady saying "she almost done". I was so upset by the last nail salon I went to in Carson (the one on Carson & Bonita, next to Subway - do NOT ever go there! they are absolutely rude, inattentive, careless, and just flat out terrible! ) that I was afraid to go to just anywhere today to have my nails fixed/done. Last minute, I remembered my niece always has great nails so I called and asked her where she goes and who her nail person is because I wanted to make sure to use the same person. She recommended Lee at Jennifer Spa & Nails. Both she and my sister-in-law have been going to Lee for some time now. I was so very lucky when I walked in and found Lee available to take me right away! He took his time to remove the broken, messed up acrylic work (I wish I had taken pics so you can see just how fckd up it was ), trimmed my nails down evenly, filled and shaped them properly, filed and cleaned them. I loved that he totally took his time and made sure I was 100% happy. I've never had a nail person who actually cared this much about the quality of work! Which is exactly why I will never ever be able to go to anyone else for my future manicures! Lee was, is amazing! He even cared enough to provide me with at-home nail care so my nails can last 3 weeks before needing to come back in. If you're looking for a go-to person who truly, honestly cares about his quality of work, customer service and attention to detail.... you NEED to see Lee! And plus, he's super friendly, like, genuinely friendly and kind, and a great conversationalist! Totally not rude and jerky like all the other nail salons I've been to where you just know they're talking shit about you in their native tongue. So go see Lee! Or, maybe not. Love getting my nails done by Lee and Hannah for pedi. Ive been having Lee do my nails for almost 2 years now! Obviously it's best to get an appointment by phone as Lee has loyal customers that like to get their nails done by him directly. I can't believe the other reviews that talk badly about Lee, as I have never once had a bad experience, and I've never had anyone take care of my natural nails the way Lee does, he cares about the health of your nails. I made a mistake and went to this place solely based on their star rating. I didn't read any of the reviews. I thought that it had better than average ratings for nail places in this area and just needed a quick eyebrow wax. I walked in and it was packed with people getting their nails done. Some Vietnamese lady yelled across the room "what do you want." I answered that I wanted an eyebrow wax. She ditched the customer she was in the middle of doing acrylics for and led me into what can only be described as a tall box. I sat in a beat up office chair instead of lying on a clean spa table. She made me tilt my head back, and immediately started waxing the area without wiping the area clean. Halfway through she left and went back to the other customer she ditched without a word. I still had wax on my eyebrows. 4 minutes later she returned and got the roughest cotton i've ever seen (think skinning your knees on a hot sidewalk), put some wax finishing oil on it (probably a drop, because I didn't feel any of it, and proceeded to exfoliate my forehead and upper eyelids. After they were raw and almost bleeding, she took tweezers out and spent 25 seconds cleaning up the areas she missed (a lot). She called my hair "strong" and we laughed. When she was done, she asked for $5 and walked out back to the other customer. I looked in the mirror and was amazed that it was decent. No strays, shape was fine... but there was hair everywhere as she didn't even have the common sense to wipe it off before she took off. I stopped in for a fill and shape and I found everyone to be courteous, friendly and professional. They did a great job. Prices are very affordable. I spent 15 for a fill, shape up and cut and most places charge me 20-24 dollars. They do charge a 1 dollar credit card fee but it was no big. They also just got state of the art pedicure chairs so I might make the drive back to indulge in more sweet pampering. I'm happy...what more can I say?!!! read more

I didn't want to come here at first only because of the rush hour traffic and as well as the location but my friend Morgan recommended this place. She always tells me how much she loves her nails after getting them done from Jennifer. I trusted her and we went together after work at around 5pm on a tuesday afternoon. The only bad thing i have to say about this place is how HOT HOT HOT it is inside. They should get a fan or at least an ac inside. But overall place is okay, pretty clean but could be cleaner. I decided to bring my own nail polish in just because i didn't know if there was going to be a variety. When we arrived, i had trouble choosing which color i wanted to do for my toes because they didn't really have a wide selection. Service here is great. Jennifer is awesome! She knew how i exactly wanted with my nails and she made them just how i like it. Prices here are somewhat okay a little little pricey but affordable. One of the things that made my visit was the fact that one of the ladies put my shoes and socks in a bag for me after getting a pedicure. They made sure i didn't leave anything. I almost forgot to take my nail polish with me but luckily Jennifer put it in my purse for me. I recommend this place just make sure you tell the ladies what you exactly want because they will make sure of it. Just wear comfy clothes because it's hot inside! I hate to say this but the service here has slipped quite a bit over the last year. I get the sense now that customers are an inconvenience. It's hard to put my finger on it, but they just aren't as friendly as they once were. Also, now their posted prices no longer reflect the actual charges you end up getting. On top of that, the prices aren't even consistent. The last few times I've gone they have charged me a different price than the time before for the same exact service. The quality of the work has slipped, too. The last time I went one of my toes bled for two days. Homie don't play that. LIttle known fact: What I didn't know when I gave my first review is that they $2 extra if you use your credit card/debit card. I was desperate looking for a nail salon about 2 weeks ago and my nail lady was busy for the day, so I was driving by Jennifer Spa Nails and I decided to stop, thinking that is was just a one time thing. I really like what they did, I end up doing my wax and manicure and pedicure. The prices are about 20% lower then the normal rate and they did a great job. Yesterday, I choose to go back and now I am happy with my new nail salon. I am giving 4 out of 5 because is not your fancy salon, but the work they do is great. Visited 10-5-2016 Going back to change my review to 3 stars only. The service is not as good as it was before and I try not to go there any more... I don't think the owner value my business. I got my pedicure here twice by Rosie. She is very detailed and I like going to her ONLY. The place needs some attention as everything looks outdated. The colors on the wall, the posters, the decorations, even their tools look outdated. It's relatively cheap, regular pedicure is $13 +3 more dollars for French manicure. read more

Ughhh, I'm writing this review with extremely crooked eyebrows :(. I was excited to try this place out because of the high ratings, but left pretty disappointed. I originally wanted gel nails, a pedicure, and an eyebrow wax. I specifically asked for Jennifer because of her gel and acrylic nail skills. She picks up my hand and immediately starts cutting my nails while asking/telling me "you want square shape right" without stopping or paying attention to my answer. I told her no, and that I actually wanted a squoval shape and pointed to one of my fingers as an example. She doesn't really pay attention to what I want and makes my nails extremely short and uneven. This kills me since I've been trying to grow out my weak nails for so long, hence the gel nails. The shape of each nail looks horrible to me and I let her know, but she tells me it has to be extremely narrow or else the polish will get everywhere. I decided then and there that there is no way I can live with gel nails that are so uneven and ugly to me for 2-3 weeks. I think she sensed that I was unhappy and said that I could just get a manicure with the same polish as my toes. I agree since I couldn't justify paying $20+ for nails that I already didn't like five minutes into the manicure. She kind of rushed the end of the manicure after I told her Id rather just get a regular manicure instead of gel. The polish didn't reach my entire nail and the application wasn't very neat/even. As for my pedicure, it was okay :/. The lady working on me cut the nails of my big toes super short. So short that the side of my cuticle still had an imprint of the nail that used to be there. Sorry if that's confusing. When she started, she did ask if I liked the shape which I did, but eventually filed it wayyyy down. What I hated: 1. When I chose the color for my toes, the lady looked at my color, said something in Vietnamese and laughed with Jennifer who was working on my nails. She even asks me if I'm sure I want the taupe. She said that it'll look like "chocolate" and then laughed again. Wtf?! 2. When I mentioned to Jennifer that I didn't like the shape of my nail and that she was cutting it too short she told me that it looked good like that. After she said that, she looked over at the lady working on my feet and went off in Vietnamese as if complaining about me. It was so rude and obvious! 3. Pedicure's massage was too soft unlike my heels which unfortunately are still rough. The quick scrub they gave my heel didn't do much. 4. My eyebrows are really uneven :/ my right eyebrow is thinner and actually lower than my left now. She used an eyebrow shaver and took sooo much off!! The only good thing is the price. This place is dirt cheap but you get what you pay for. I thought I found a hidden gem because of the low prices and high ratings, but I am still looking. I've been coming here for awhile and they were always really nice knew exactly what I wanted and then they started to get really comfortable with me so they would do as good of a job. Today I came in for a French pedicure and the last that was helping me was rude and when I told her I didn't like the way she was doing it she got mad and said some one else can help you then. She moved me out of the spa chair and put me in a corner. I've now been sitting her for about 20 Minutes and no one has yet to help me. I will never come back here again. Eh! It's ok... I ended up here after Kevin at Kool Nails up the street was unavailable and I needed a last minute full set and pedicure. Full set acrylics was blah, not bad but not good either... I'm pretty particular about my acrylics, it has to be very slim and thin layers of acrylic, it has to look very natural or else I hate them. Well I didn't hate them but I didn't like them. I came home and cleaned up the edges and filed down the thickness. The pedicure was just plain bad. The woman didn't know what she was doing, barely cleaned anything and she cut them wrong, where a week into it signs/pain of an ingrown nail were beginning to show. I won't go back again.
