I've been coming to Pro Nails salon off and on for many years and it's difficult to tell which one I am reviewing, so I will review both noting what I feel are the key differences. The Sepulveda location has been around longer. I usually call and ask if Helen is available and usually I can get in quickly. I think each technician at the Sepulveda location has a different style. Helen opened up the PCH location and it was later sold to a different owner. I consider both locations about the same rating, but I like them for different reasons. I prefer Sepulveda location if I want white French tips, which I just went in for and they did a beautiful job. If I want them to use my own nail color I also go there. They have easy parking and easy to get in and out fast. The PCH location does not carry white tips, will not use polish that you bring in and parking can be a challenge. The PCH technicians all seem to turn out a similar nice result and they use more variety of small bit attachments on their tools. Small bits can get into tight spots and clean up under the nail better in my opinion. The PCH salon is better maintained with more spacious. I didn't touch on sanitation. That's something to ask about. read more

The first couple of times going there was ok but that last 2 times I got a pedicure the guy did them and I noticed my nails hurt. I never had that issue before. The 2nd time I did not my nails painted and my nails were throbbing. I put on my glasses and looked closer and noticed my nails were bleeding. The ladies there do a good job but never let the guy do them he is too rough. I should not be bleeding after getting my nails done. We will never be going back there. read more

1st time going there last week and I will never ever go back! I went to get the gel taken out of my nails and a manicure but left looking like my daughter cut my nails. The older man cut my nails so short he cut the skin under my nails. He doesn't know how to use nail clippers bc he flipped my hand around to cut my nails. So he cut my nails with my inner hand facing up. Never seen that before and he cut me. The lack of intelligence of the man made me want to ask for his license. How could the owners let this man work here. The owner let me use a tool to shave my nails into an even shape. Oh yeah they charged me $18 to remove my gel and fuck up my nails. Went in for a pedicure with my boyfriend. I have to say the fastest and not so enjoyable experience. When I mentioned that one of my toes has a small ingrown spot that will need to be cut another worker with attitude says "we don't do ingrown nail." I was shocked. I've been getting pedicures for 30 years and this is the first time I've ever heard this. So basically we got wet feet, a filing of our nails a quick lotion rub and done. 20 minutes and done. Not coming back. Shop needs updating and some staff needs to get rid of attitude. Completely disappointed read more

I was within the area and desperate to get my gel nails off, so I resorted to Pro Nail. Immediately as I walked in, I noticed how dirty and unkept the place looked. As I sat down at a chair, it was even dirtier. There were clipped nails on my seat. When I was done with my cuticle and massage part of my manicure, the technician used the water that I soaked my cuticles in to clean my hands!!! No hot towel, no sanitizing spray, no please go wash your hands in the bathroom. Additionally, I wanted to give my nails a break from polish, so I only asked for clear top coat. However, I still got charged the full $11 for the manicure price. It wasn't that much in comparison to other salons, so I didn't fight it. What's worse, though, is that the technician hurried my manicure so much that he still got polish all over my skin. I mean come on, I didn't even get colored nail polish! At least clean up the parts that you did mess up.. Stay away from this place. I regret not reading the 1 star reviews in advance. read more

First time visiting this place and I'll never come back. I got acrylics and the lady put this chemical on my nails that burned so bad. My fingers felt numb after a while from the pain. The worst part was when she was done putting the polish, she told me to hold my hands in front of the fan for 15 min so they can dry. I thought all nail salons had to have that little LED nail lamp to dry nails. They didn't dry fully with the tiny fan of course and the polish got messed up when I got my wallet out to pay. This is my first time here. I hadn't got my nails done in two weeks so I wanted something quick. I would say this place gets the job done, but it's a bit sloppy. I got gel on hands and feet. The guy who did my feet has long nails that kept hurting me when he grabbed each finger. My hands were done by someone else. She did it quickly, it looks OKAY. I don't know where all these great reviews are coming from but unfortunately they were the reason I decided to come to this place, as my usual nail salon was completely booked today. There was no attention to detail: the tools were in an old bag that was already open (sanitation anyone?) the ladies did not push down the cuticle to cut it all out, they did not clean under my nails, they used too much nail polish and just let them air dry, which didn't even finish drying 20 minutes later. It's no wonder both many and pedi were done in 15 minutes. I guess you really get what you pay for, and I rather pay the extra 10 bucks for a job well done. The only reason I'm giving this place one star is because one lady was nice enough to redo the mess in my manicure. I'm never one to complain about little things but when you keep telling your manicurist she's leaving too much polish all over your finger and she doesn't care, I do have a problem with that. Ladies! My whole experience here was below meh. The only positives were that they completed my mani pedi under 40 mins and it was only $20. Downside is that you can tell they spent very little time on detail. Color selection is sparse, most of the colors they carry are "old lady" colors- a wide array of reds and browns that are not popular. On top of that the tools they used were in an old tyvek pouch that looked reused and was already open. I see your trickery. Also, when the lady drained my foot spa a bunch of tissue paper got stuck to my ankle and feet. Gross, someone dropped tissue is my foot bath and it wasn't mine. The guy doing my nails could give a flying F if he painted within my nails or even painted straight (see photo). My brother has done a better job of painting my nails w his left hand than this guy. The cherry on top to this whole terrible experience was that my cuticles were peeling after a couple days. This doesn't really happen to me. I will stay far away from this subpar place read more

I went to this place because of the good reviews and let me tell you, by far the worst full set of acrylics I've ever had. I asked for ombré and the man looked really skeptical when I showed him a picture. Asked a bunch of questions to the other nail techs and I knew something was up. He proceeded to attempt ombré and had no idea what he was doing. After 2 nails I told him never mind on the ombré 3 TIMES and he kept going! I guess he didn't understand what I was saying. The acrylic on all of my nails is completely uneven and so thin! Some nails have spots with no acrylic on them! I'm going to Vegas and I'm so scared they're going to break! Got a full set and a pedi and they charged me $76. So irritated. read more

Came here for the first time today. And over all I gave this nail shop a 2 because it was just below average. I went in for a mani and pedi. Didn't have to wait at all. Which was nice. The manicure I got was good, but the paint job was horrible. I have bubbles all throughout my nail polish. As for the pedicure it was decent as well, and I thought he did a great paint job. Until literally 6 hours after I left the nail salon, I put shoes on to go out for the evening, and my toes nails were completely messed up and smudged. Which means the nail polish was most likely put on way too thick... With that said I went out and purchased my own polish remover and painted my nails and toe nails my self. Wasted money, and it's safe to say I won't be coming here again. I paid $31 for a acrylic take off, mani and pedi. Not bad. Probably one of the worst gel manicure experiences I've ever had. I almost walked out mid way through. I called ahead and they said they had availability so I drove right over... and then waited 25 minutes for a station to open up. I understand if I just walked in, but I called ahead hoping I could get in and out fast. I mentioned to the guy that I slammed my thumb in my car door... and he then proceeded to dig under my nail until I winced in pain and jerked my hand away! The guy was sloppy, not paying attention, and painted my gel right onto my cuticles. One week later and my gel was catching on everything and getting stuck in my hair... and now its 1/2 way off on almost every finger after 2 weeks! Usually my manicures last 3-3 1/2 weeks. Oh, and the nails are all crooked, even after I asked him to re-do it multiple times. Last comment... it's kinda gross to have a place put old crusty wool finger-less gloves on your hands while your nails are cooking. read more

Worst experience ever! Came in cuz I was desperate for a pedicure! I honestly thought another person was helping me cuz the girl that ended up doing my pedicure was walking so lazily I didn't even think she was one of the workers! No kind of urgency. I guess she doesn't like her job, but she shouldn't be there then! It might've taken her 20 minutes tops to do my pedi! I'm not sure about you but it usually takes more than that to do a pedicure. The guy that did my nails slathered the nail polish on too thick. It was so uneven and I was trying to tell him but I didn't think he understood or just ignoring me! I found this place in a pinch since it's down the street from my house and I LOVE IT! I've been here 3 times so far and each time I have been so impressed with the work. My nails are always exactly what I ask for and always done fast and perfect. It's a very small salon so make an appt. The only thing that gets me is I wonder how clean their tools are, since some times I've seen brand new stuff and other times I'm a little skeptical. But I really can't deny the amazing work for a great price. This is the first and only place that has done my "claws" (pointy nails) correctly and not weird like everyone else! I knew I shouldn't have came to this place but I thought I'd give it a try from the good reviews it did have (and it was close to home). But I should have gone with my instinct. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! the lady that did my nails, already had a shitty attitude to begin with. I told her what I wanted from the start. The length not too thin nor too thick and narrow since I have skinny fingers. It's almost as she intentionally did everything opposite to what I said! And completely messed up my nails. Do not come to this nail salon they are no good I just spent $50 to get a full set I was not happy and Helen told me to come back the next day to have them fixed when I came back she wasn't able to help me I came the next three days and she still wasn't able to help me I finally came a week later and now she wants to charge me to fix my nails after she told me that she would not charge me I highly recommend you do not come to this place horrible service they charge way too much and they don't keep their word stay away from this please don't waste your money don't waste your time there's other places like professional nails on PCH that does so much better. The customer service here is exceptional. Everyone is very friendly, they smile and are very welcoming. However, I'm a bit disappointed with my nails. The nail polish selection is poor. There is a very small collection of popular nail polishes, such as Essie and OPI, and the rest are nail polishes you'd get at the swap meet for a dollar. Not very impressive. I got the $23 mani / pedi, which I thought was a great deal.I picked out a pink color for my toes and I can see alot of tiny little bubbles. Also, some of my toenails aren't completely painted, and small corners are visible making it look very rushed. They did a design and honestly, it's a bit sloppy and generic. They are just dots to make a flower, something anyone could have easily done. They used a blue color and it seems to have smeared a tiny bit, but I don't really mind that. Next, for my manicure, I asked if I can upgrade to a gel manicure and they said sure, and again, small corners and sides are visible, looking a bit rushed. I got a french manicure, and the white tips have little tiny bubble/holes in them, I'm not sure if the nail polish was old or whatever. The total was $46 + a $5 tip and I think a .50cent charge for a debit card. Was it worth it? Eh, can't really say that it was. read more

I came in asking for a full set so he put the nails on & asks how long I want them then cuts them to my liking. Perfect, no complaints. But then just keeps cutting to makes them all even by the time he's finished they are significantly shorter & I say something so he takes them off & puts new nails on. ROUND 2, another set of nails are now on & he's putting powder but misses a whole side of my middle finger & didn't even notice! I had to point it out to him! If I could give 0 stars I would. I hadn't gotten my nails done in some time but since I just moved to Torrance I decided to give this place a try. Horrible horrible idea. They left my gel polish a disaster and my nails all lumpy (acrylic) not only that but I got frustrated because the woman doing my nails was leaving the top of my nails crooked and I had to ask over and over again for her to fix it and finally she got frustrated that the man got involved and began trying to fix my nails for her. Then when it was finally time for her to paint them she left the cuticle area all crooked and well obviously it's hard to clean up gel as it dries hard so I kept asking her to fix it and again she got frustrated and he had to fix it for her, again. Though they still left my nails horrible I can't believe I paid for it. Had to go somewhere else the next day to have them fix their mess. read more
