We were in town for the week and needed to find a nail salon close by. We decided we wanted to try out gel since it could last a bit before our trip ended. So glad to Yelp and find a highly rated nail salon within walking distance across the street from TJ. We made an online reso the night before. We walked in at 11 am and quickly greeted by Jenny (I think). We already had an idea of the type of gel and design we wanted. Jenny and Lily were thorough with the pre polish. Taking their time to file and remove cuticles and hand nails. I don't think any salon has ever taken this much time before. They also buffed out our nail bed for smooth application. DD has a cat eye gel which she was so fascinated with. Jenny matched the color of the picture spot on. Also, I wanted a leopard print design. Lily did the red on alternating fingers and Jenny did the actual design. Wow. So impressed that she did this bloom gel technique that matches the picture I showed her too. Even the base of the tan was spot on. So impressed with the whole experience and couldn't be happier. It's been 5 days and both our manicures look pretty fresh still. I am now a believer of gel manicure and will only be doing them vs regular manicures from now on thanks to this salon. If I lived down here, this would definitely be my go to nail salon. read more

We all know what works on our nails. I explicitly asked her to put 2 coats on because it gets too thick with 3 coats and comes off easily as I work with my hand alot. And she forced me to get 3. 2 of my nails pilled off the 3rd day and now they're all peeling pff. Still tipped her %20 but honestly the worst experience. read more

The ladies were nice but this place is UNSANITARY. **Leaving a review here as well as Google. I see the owner can thank others for their reviews and doesn't even offer an apology (at the very least) or any suggestions of reconciliation for what I experienced. Nelly started doing my nails with stained/dirty gloves from the person before me until I asked her to change them. I also noticed that the sterilization packets weren't sealed or ran in the autoclave. Saw her take out acrylic purple liquid that was used. Used burs from the "soiled" box and just brushed it with a boars hair brush. They charged $80 for a short basic French fill. My nails smelled like when a cat sprays and it's been a few days and after MANY times of washing my hands, they still stink. I regret even going through with it but they started my pedi and told me to wait a little for my fill. I had been there so long and with toes already done/wet or else I would've left. I won't be back. I'm very disappointed and regretful. read more

I love this place... I live all the way on the west side but I gladly commute over to pasadena once a month to come get my nails done here. Everyone is always so friendly and kind. Even when i'm unsure what design or color to go with, they always have a positive attitude and ideas for me to consider. The salon is located in a strip mall next to a restaurant and a laundromat so there is limited parking, but it's never a hassle to find a spot. It seems like their clientele is mostly local to the community because every time i'm there I overhear them talking to other clients asking how they're doing, how the kids are doing, etc. Just a really nice group of ladies. I've mentioned to them that I live far away so I can't come by every 2 weeks and i'm convinced that they put extra effort in to make my nails last. Despite having a scheduled appointment, my teenage daughter was treated horribly by the owner, who blamed her for their staffing issues instead of taking responsibility. This isn't the first time we've experienced long delays and rude behavior. We've also witnessed the owner responding unprofessionally to other clients walking in. As much as I enjoyed previous visit, this one was a disappointing one. I was the only customer in salon so it wasn't busy. The employee giving me my pedicure was on her Bluetooth phone the entire time and I think because she wasn't giving her job her full attention might have been why my toe was nicked- slight bleeding- not good- i like my toenails short but not so short that the tops of my big toes are so sensitive that it hurts when touched even skimmed by the bed sheet-I was looking forward to nice foot- leg massage but was quick and weak- think time to shop around for new place. read more
