We were in town for the week and needed to find a nail salon close by. We decided we wanted to try out gel since it could last a bit before our trip ended. So glad to Yelp and find a highly rated nail salon within walking distance across the street from TJ. We made an online reso the night before. We walked in at 11 am and quickly greeted by Jenny (I think). We already had an idea of the type of gel and design we wanted. Jenny and Lily were thorough with the pre polish. Taking their time to file and remove cuticles and hand nails. I don't think any salon has ever taken this much time before. They also buffed out our nail bed for smooth application. DD has a cat eye gel which she was so fascinated with. Jenny matched the color of the picture spot on. Also, I wanted a leopard print design. Lily did the red on alternating fingers and Jenny did the actual design. Wow. So impressed that she did this bloom gel technique that matches the picture I showed her too. Even the base of the tan was spot on. So impressed with the whole experience and couldn't be happier. It's been 5 days and both our manicures look pretty fresh still. I am now a believer of gel manicure and will only be doing them vs regular manicures from now on thanks to this salon. If I lived down here, this would definitely be my go to nail salon. read more

I had a scheduled nail appointment at 12:10 PM. Unfortunately, my appointment time was changed without any prior notice or communication. I was only informed of the change after I had already arrived at the salon. I was then asked to wait an additional 15-20 minutes. I explained several times that I only had an hour available and was unable to stay longer due to my schedule. Despite explaining this, I was repeatedly asked to wait. I completely understand that unexpected delays can happen, but changing a customer's appointment time without notifying them beforehand is not professional. If the appointment time needed to be adjusted, I should have been contacted in advance so I could decide whether the new time worked for me. I was very disappointed with the lack of communication and consideration for my time. As a customer, I expect my scheduled appointment time to be respected, or at the very least, to be notified ahead of time if there are any changes. read more

We had been coming here for our pedicures after moving from Montebello to Highland Park and thought we had finally found our new go-to spot in Pasadena. Unfortunately, after today's experience, we won't be coming back. My husband and I both went in for pedicures. They took their time with him, which was perfectly fine, especially since we had our baby with us. However, when it was my turn, the same technician worked on me and I just didn't feel like she was doing a thorough job. It honestly felt like she was just caressing my toes instead of properly cleaning and removing the dead skin. I kept telling her that I could still feel pressure on my toes even after she said she was done. I understand they aren't supposed to remove ingrown nails, but I do expect the dead skin to be properly cleaned up. Eventually, another technician had to step in and assist her. My pedicure ended up taking about an hour and a half. There were other things that were disappointing as well. They normally give us a menu when we arrive so we can choose which pedicure we want, but this time they didn't. My husband actually had to ask for the menu, and once he chose the upgraded pedicure he wanted, they told him it was too late and he could no longer add it. He was disappointed because he usually enjoys the higher-end pedicure with the mask and everything included. I also asked if I could get a manicure after my pedicure and was told yes. They had already sat me down and agreed to do it, but then someone with an appointment came in and suddenly they could no longer do my manicure. It's disappointing because we really thought we had found a place we could continue coming to regularly, but after today's experience, we'll be looking for a new nail salon. read more

She's fun, bubbly, and truly cares about her work, which shows in how perfect my nails look every single time. I felt like to took forever to find an amazing tech, but I found Jenny's Nails & Spa and now drive 45 minutes from home to see Nelly. Even though I travel constantly for work, I will happily wait it out rather than go anywhere else. Her attention to detail is unmatched, and somehow my nails still look amazing even when I've gone a couple weeks too long before a fill. We all know what works on our nails. I explicitly asked her to put 2 coats on because it gets too thick with 3 coats and comes off easily as I work with my hand alot. The ladies were nice but this place is UNSANITARY. **Leaving a review here as well as Google. I see the owner can thank others for their reviews and doesn't even offer an apology (at the very least) or any suggestions of reconciliation for what I experienced. Nelly started doing my nails with stained/dirty gloves from the person before me until I asked her to change them. I also noticed that the sterilization packets weren't sealed or ran in the autoclave. Saw her take out acrylic purple liquid that was used. Used burs from the "soiled" box and just brushed it with a boars hair brush. They charged $80 for a short basic French fill. My nails smelled like when a cat sprays and it's been a few days and after MANY times of washing my hands, they still stink. I regret even going through with it but they started my pedi and told me to wait a little for my fill. I had been there so long and with toes already done/wet or else I would've left. I won't be back. I'm very disappointed and regretful. read more

I love this place... I live all the way on the west side but I gladly commute over to pasadena once a month to come get my nails done here. Everyone is always so friendly and kind. Even when i'm unsure what design or color to go with, they always have a positive attitude and ideas for me to consider. The salon is located in a strip mall next to a restaurant and a laundromat so there is limited parking, but it's never a hassle to find a spot. It seems like their clientele is mostly local to the community because every time i'm there I overhear them talking to other clients asking how they're doing, how the kids are doing, etc. Just a really nice group of ladies. I've mentioned to them that I live far away so I can't come by every 2 weeks and i'm convinced that they put extra effort in to make my nails last. Literally the only one left is the owner who is constantly trying to sell you her MLM junk Everytime I have been there lately, customers are complaining that they had an appointment but jenny wasn't there or she was double booked. Avoid Jenny's Nails at all costs. After 3.5 years as clients, we've had enough. Despite having a scheduled appointment, my teenage daughter was treated horribly by the owner, who blamed her for their staffing issues instead of taking responsibility. This isn't the first time we've experienced long delays and rude behavior. We've also witnessed the owner responding unprofessionally to other clients walking in. The owner is rude, unprofessional, and completely lacks accountability. There are plenty of better, more reliable salons where customers are treated with respect. read more

As much as I enjoyed previous visit, this one was a disappointing one. I was the only customer in salon so it wasn't busy. The employee giving me my pedicure was on her Bluetooth phone the entire time and I think because she wasn't giving her job her full attention might have been why my toe was nicked- slight bleeding- not good- i like my toenails short but not so short that the tops of my big toes are so sensitive that it hurts when touched even skimmed by the bed sheet-I was looking forward to nice foot- leg massage but was quick and weak- think time to shop around for new place. read more
