The person who did my daughter's nails did a nice job on her nails but she wasn't very personable. My person was a little more friendly and did a lovely job as well. My daughter really liked the vibe of the place in the photos and is one of the reasons we picked it. It's got a very cool look but in terms of comfort I prefer the massage chairs at other places. I tried Emblush Beaute for the first time a few weeks ago. I had asked for the structured gel manicure service - the nail tech did regular gel and placed a "more durable top coat over it". I was surprised as I had the impression structured gel was different than normal gel - after all it is more expensive. Flash forward to today, I went to another nail salon and asked for a structured gel manicure. This other place truly did a structured gel mani. Placing the clear structured gel onto my nail prior to the gel polish, forming and shaping my nails nicely with this thicker gel. The salon is clean and I was happy with my polish pedicure, but disappointed that I was charged for a structured gel mani when I was really given a regular gel manicure. The tech I worked with today confirmed that the gel she removed was in fact a regular gel manicure service. read more

The technician I had was very informative and told me that my overlay was too thin for my nails because of the way it curves. I should have a thicker layer at the ends due to it. GEL PEDICURE: Annie was great and so sweet by helping me choose my color and making sure I was comfortable the whole time. She asked if the water temp was good, if my toenail shape was to my liking, etc. I love people who do this, yet still don't make small chat with me (cause I'll be honest I just wanted to be on my phone in silence the whole time!) WAX The eyebrow waxing was also very painless and easy. She made sure to clarify the length, arch, and width! Love the lotion she put afterwards to soothe my brows. HYGIENE She wore gloves, had sanitized tools, and washed her hands when switching from pedicure to eyebrows! Love good hygiene in a salon! Looks like the rest of the ladies also do the same. PARKING Sorry I can't say much to parking--I walked! But there is street parking with meters or you can use the app Pasadena usually has up on signs. Very easy to use in my past experience! Emblush Beaute was the second nail salon I tried in Pasadena, and it was way better than the first. It was also the closest salon to me when I lived in my last apartment, so I only had to walk a few blocks to get there. The salon is beautiful and alluring to passersby, and the technicians were all so sweet and kind. I also got my eyebrows waxed here and they did a good job. Right now I'm going through a holographic/cat eye phase with my nails (you don't understand me, mom) so I go to salons specifically for that. Unfortunately when I came they didn't offer those here, so I chose the only polish I saw that I'd be interested in wearing. That's the only reason I took away a star. The manicure itself was well-done and my nails looked great. The whole experience was enjoyable and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who isn't looking for the same polish effect I am.
