Was able to get a same day appointment for my daughter and I. I had a spa pedicure and she had a gel manicure. The person who did my daughter's nails did a nice job on her nails but she wasn't very personable. My person was a little more friendly and did a lovely job as well. My daughter really liked the vibe of the place in the photos and is one of the reasons we picked it. It's got a very cool look but in terms of comfort I prefer the massage chairs at other places. It's in Old Town Pasadena so parking can be tricky. read more

I needed my nails done for SuperBowl weekend as I was visiting from out of town for work. I went in -mid morning for my nail appointment and was greeted and seated promptly to start my services. I tried Emblush Beaute for the first time a few weeks ago. I had asked for the structured gel manicure service - the nail tech did regular gel and placed a "more durable top coat over it". I was surprised as I had the impression structured gel was different than normal gel - after all it is more expensive. Flash forward to today, I went to another nail salon and asked for a structured gel manicure. This other place truly did a structured gel mani. Placing the clear structured gel onto my nail prior to the gel polish, forming and shaping my nails nicely with this thicker gel. The salon is clean and I was happy with my polish pedicure, but disappointed that I was charged for a structured gel mani when I was really given a regular gel manicure. The tech I worked with today confirmed that the gel she removed was in fact a regular gel manicure service. read more

Such a realizing and amazing experience ~ everyone was very friendly and the services were just so great. I ended up calling the same day and making an appointment just in case, but truly such a nice salon experience. The ambiance was lovely. They had the radio jams going, but the volume was just low enough to be relaxed. We got 2 gel manicures and 2 classic pedicures. The ladies who took care of us went above and beyond. I am so glad I found Emblush and they will forever be my go to nail salon in LA!! I always schedule service with Diane, who is amazing, but I know all the techs are great. I usually get the gel overlay and noticed my normal place my nail keeps breaking. So I decided to try this place after reading the reviews. The technician I had was very informative and told me that my overlay was too thin for my nails because of the way it curves. I should have a thicker layer at the ends due to it. I'll be going back for Annie! I got a gel pedicure and eyebrow wax today with Annie. I booked the night before to go in on Saturday opening. Really easy to use on the booking site! GEL PEDICURE: Annie was great and so sweet by helping me choose my color and making sure I was comfortable the whole time. She asked if the water temp was good, if my toenail shape was to my liking, etc. I love people who do this, yet still don't make small chat with me (cause I'll be honest I just wanted to be on my phone in silence the whole time!) WAX The eyebrow waxing was also very painless and easy. She made sure to clarify the length, arch, and width! Love the lotion she put afterwards to soothe my brows. HYGIENE She wore gloves, had sanitized tools, and washed her hands when switching from pedicure to eyebrows! Love good hygiene in a salon! Looks like the rest of the ladies also do the same. PARKING Sorry I can't say much to parking--I walked! But there is street parking with meters or you can use the app Pasadena usually has up on signs. Very easy to use in my past experience! There's also lots but I would say try to grab a meter--I think it's cheaper. Overall, I'll definitely be coming back regularly. Will probably be my regular spot in Pasadena! I have been coming to Emblush since there opening week. Tony has been my go-to guy for Gel-X nails and he never disappoints. Tony is always booked ahead of time so always make sure to make an appointment 1-2 weeks ahead of time. I also get my pedicures here by any tech available because they are all so great! I have no complaints about the service I get each time. Non-regulars seem to have a problem walking in and being disappointed when there is no availability. But this salon is always booked so always try to make an appointment. read more

Best gel-x manicure I've ever had, and an excellent pedicure, too! Tony is a fantastic nail tech, and took the time to get the details of my mani spot on. My nails lasted for nearly a month before I had to take them off--and that was only because they had grown longer than I preferred--even after that much time, there was minimal lift, and my nail beds had little to no damage after removal. Emblush Beaute was the second nail salon I tried in Pasadena, and it was way better than the first. It was also the closest salon to me when I lived in my last apartment, so I only had to walk a few blocks to get there. The salon is beautiful and alluring to passersby, and the technicians were all so sweet and kind. I also got my eyebrows waxed here and they did a good job. Right now I'm going through a holographic/cat eye phase with my nails (you don't understand me, mom) so I go to salons specifically for that. Unfortunately when I came they didn't offer those here, so I chose the only polish I saw that I'd be interested in wearing. That's the only reason I took away a star. The manicure itself was well-done and my nails looked great. The whole experience was enjoyable and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who isn't looking for the same polish effect I am. Hopefully they procure some of those polishes so I can come back sooner! Otherwise I'll give them another try when I'm over whatever this phase is (I'm UNIQUE mom)! read more

If you're short on time, they will try their best to get two technicians on the job. It's best to book in advance- these ladies are in high demand! They have a convenient online booking system. This is officially my favorite place to get my nails done. Everyone that works here is so kind and attentive....and it's from the moment you walk in. I didn't make an appointment but they worked with me and didn't dismiss me for not having one. I was able to get a gel manicure, a pedicure, AND EYEBROWS done. All received with the best of service. I've been coming to Junko consistently for gel pedicures and she never disappoints! She's very meticulous and will cater to all your concerns. Another huge plus is that she's sooo gentle. She's never made me bleed or nipped too deep. A few other pros of this salon is that the service is always A+. The entire staff is so attentive and accommodating. My boyfriend treated me to a spa day and chose this place based off of the great reviews. He made an appointment ahead of time and requested Tony to do my Gel-X nails. I also got an organic pedicure and my eyebrows done. Tony was extremely welcoming, kind, and he did an amazing job. While he was doing my nails, we were having a great conversation. I have not gotten my nails done since before Covid and I was very pleased with my experience with Tony. Jessica did my organic pedicure and OMG!!! It was well worth it. She was so gentle and sweet. Overall it was a great experience. The staff at Emblush Beaute are all professional and welcoming. It's a clean salon. I appreciate them taking the extra precautions during the pandemic by sanitizing each area after being used. The salon is also aesthetically pleasing. I don't live in Pasadena so I don't know that I'll be a regular, but I recommend this salon to anyone who lives in Pasadena. Or to anyone who is willing to drive! read more

If you are looking for a exceptionally skilled nail artist, Tony at Emblush Beaute is truly the best in the business. After 15 years in LA and having many mediocre manicures, I will never go anywhere but Emblush Beaute to see my nail King, Tony. He somehow is both extremely precise and efficient (he can do an entire hard gel fill with a nail trimming in under an hour) and there is never a single flaw in his work. He is also a delight, as is the entire staff here. They have created a really welcoming and fun environment. I am bummed that Tony is gonna become harder to book as the word about how incredible he is gets out, but I would be doing a disservice to my community to not share this intel with y'all. read more

I decided to book an appointment at Sumi Lash in Pasadena due to its close proximity to my house. To be honest, I was a bit nervous after reading all the negative reviews. Everything from how the lashes were not long lasting to how their eyes burned during the application process made me wanted to cancel my appointment, but I really needed to get my lashes done for the weekend so the desperate side of me decided to stick to it. I had initially made my appointment with a tech by the name of Cindy for 9:30am, but then I received a text notification that my appointment was updated to 10:00am with Tina. The day before the appointment, I received another text from Sumi asking if I would be able to come in at 10:15am instead, which I was okay with. I am very familiar with the area so I found the place and parking without any issues. I arrived on time and only waited about 5 minutes for Tina. The check in process is all the same for all Sumi locations - check in on an ipad with your phone number. Tina was very friendly, and went over styles with me. There was some burning from the glue but it wasn't too unbearable. I was done in about an hour for a full set of Volume Wispy lashes. The total including tips cost me about $160+. The verdict: I was VERY happy with how my lashes came out. It's been two weeks and I still have the full set of lashes. I am glad I did not back out of my appointment after reading some of the negative reviews, and I do plan on scheduling my next appointment soon for a fill.

Disappointed AND- I had a $10 off credit on my account which was not applied when I paid. For such an elaborate digital customer system, one would think client preferences and account information would be noted at check in. And Response to business owner's reply. I did want the exact same 1:1 fill with the quality lashes I paid more for on my initial visit. And I was not ASKED if I wanted the double lashes on a single lash to fill in at "no extra charge" because I don't like them. It makes the glue clumpier and is eye irritating to me. That is why I specifically said 1:1 Assuming I wanted something based on their own ideas of what a client wants is just a lack of communication and bad judgement !

The before and afters I had seen made me make that appointment. The process took about an hour. The results were amazing. It really opened up my eyes. She did it would last 6 to 8 weeks I believe and it's been about that time and I can see I need it again. I don't do things like this for myself very often but this is definitely something I plan on including much more regularly. Definitely recommend.

I was just randomly googling different nails places near me, and this had to be about the second or third time searching google and really getting the feel of the place just from its photography and appearance. Mind you I was browsing first to find air brush, but then I came across some nail inspiration and boom. I found the "one" look I wanted. So just from the nail inspiration I wanted to find a nail place that gave me what I was feeling from the photograph, a meditation zone, a mini vacation, some earthy vibes, a peace of mind. So out of all the places I came across I chose this one, mainly because my baby nephew name is Mason, but then I looked into the website and it felt amazing just from its art , the style of nails. The appearance everything. And randomly walking in and getting paired with "yuki" she was amazing. A friendly host, we chatted a bit, but honestly her vibe was so peaceful you didn't even want to ruin the moment, her silence was peaceful enough. I sat in the middle row so I had views of outside just taking in the city and the scenery, amazing vibes. I would highly recommend trying this place out. Book with "yuki" if you can , to be quite frank everyone in there salon looks they do amazing work. Like any nail technician you get paired with with get the job done. Give it a 5 star .
