Checked the box and have now visited all three Halter Ranch locations. This one in Fredricksberg…read moregives off a feeling of a high-end experience. The design is modern and clean. On the Saturday that we were there, it was well staffed and we were well taken care of. They offer only one wine that is sourced from Texas grown grapes. It's their Grenache/Mourvedre Rose. I thought it was refreshing and good. Just like the Temecula location, most of their wines are sourced from the Central California area. Locals may not appreciate this. However, wines are good. FYI, husband had a glass of Viognier, which he didn't care for. If an upscale feel is more of your preference, you will like Halter Ranch.

Hospitality should make people feel comfortable, and unfortunately that wasn't our experience. On the other hand, the gentleman working there was incredibly kind and did everything he could to accommodate us. The younger woman on staff was also friendly and welcoming. They both helped make the visit better despite the manager's attitude. It's unfortunate because the setting and the rest of the staff were wonderful, but the manager's lack of warmth and professionalism left a lasting negative impression.

Finally made the trek over to check out Wildseed Farms. We came across this place accidentally as…read morewe were leaving Enchanted Rock. At that time, there was nothing going on and nothing growing so we decided to come back around when spring was happening. So this time around, definitely more popular, more cars and people wanting to check the place out. Essentially I was expecting this to be more of a field of flowers. But, it's basically that (although there wasn't much of it yet, just some flowers to see) and garden decor, pots, gifts, wine, pickled things, plants and LOTS of wildflower seeds to plant at home. The plants, some were decently priced, most were a little pricier. Just depends on which ones. Majority of the ones we wanted were a little better price wise vs going to home depot, at least we think so! We walked around the adventure trail (since it was free) to get some steps in and have the kids burn some of their energy out while roaming around (minus my toddler, she would want to run away and fast haha so I changed my mind on that idea). The trail itself was open, spacious and a great way to get some fresh air. You can be lucky enough to catch some glimpses of some flowers that could be sprouting out even though there's not much! The shops: they had different types of store fronts, one for food/snack/pickled items alongside a small cafe where you can order beer and wine, another for more accessories, clothing and some planting items too! They had standing wine tasting area near the trail walking area if you want to walk around with some wine. Parking: so much parking, so definitely not to worry although I can image it being more difficult when the flowers really bloom in their field.

I read that this place is pet friendly. They had a lot of plants that they were selling including…read morebluebonnets as well as planters and other garden items. They also have a store where they sell jams, salsa, and other items. They had a place in the store to try their samples. They have a restaurant to dine and do some wine tasting. We went during spring break. Unfortunately their trail didn't have much flowers blooming.

We came here recentlyfor a bachelorette party, and after just having a terrible experience at Augusta Vin, Barelle completely turned our day around. Randy was our server, and he was AMAZING. He made sure we had a blast throughout our entire visit, totally redeeming the day for the bride. The wine? Fantastic! We all fell in love with one of their Rosés -- easily one of our favorites of the day. Plus, we had a private room all to ourselves, and it was the cutest space, with a charming book wall and unique rustic decor. It made the whole experience feel intimate and perfect for our group. I also love that Barelle is a woman-owned vineyard, and all the wines they produce and serve come from female winemakers. It's such a great touch that makes me want to support them even more. All in all, Barelle Vineyards nailed it for us. Great wine, an amazing vibe, and fantastic service. It was the perfect place to celebrate, and I'll definitely be back!
