We loved this place! We'd stopped here on a previous visit and enjoyed it, so we figured we'd try it again - this time with our small older dog. Safari Winery is dog-friendly. They have a lot of outdoor seating - all of which is suitable for dogs. We took advantage of that. Tinker loved being with us and she enjoyed the space. As the sun got more intense in our outdoor space, we asked if we could bring little Tinker indoors. They said 'yes'. They were so kind about it. It helps that Tinker is a small dog and super friendly and a non-barker. Joslyn was our server and she was very kind and helpful. We came here on a Sunday for one of their wine pick up events. Our friends are members. This winery was absolutely amazing. Place was poppin! So much hustle and bustle and vibes were just on point. We got to do a wine tasting of 4 wines. They took care of us relatively quickly. Their wines were full bodied and smooth. I did not try anything that I didn't like. They also had a lot of complimentary food to include berries, charcuterie and turkey sliders. You can def spend an entire afternoon here and leave 100% satisfied. read more

Haha but all funny business aside, the wines are really good and worth joining the club. Also it's only a 2 shipment commitment and you can choose your wines which is different to most of the wineries wine clubs. Dawn was great for our tasting.... Not pushy and kind. Overall great service and ambiance. ! Oh, not many animals despite the name, but Dawn mentioned they have a couple of kangaroos, but not the zebras and stuff I was imagining. In response to Safari's response below, we were never informed prior to seeing the kangaroos that purchasing three bottles of wine that day was required. It appears that employee failed to inform us of that prior to seeing the kangaroos and which is not our fault. We joined the wine club not because we enjoyed the wine--personal taste--but because we were interested in the advertised benefit of seeing and interacting with kangaroos. The promotional materials gave the impression that members would have an up-close experience, possibly even including feeding them. However, when we visited, the kangaroos were sleeping behind a fence, and there was no interaction offered. While we understand they're nocturnal, this important detail was not made clear beforehand and ultimately felt misleading. Before signing up, we specifically asked about wine allocation requirements and were told there would be two allocations. Today, when my fiancé chose three bottles for pickup, he believed this was our first allocation. At checkout, I confirmed this with staff, only to be told afterward that these bottles were separate from the actual allocations. I explained that we didn't want to proceed under that misunderstanding, but we were told we had to purchase them anyway due to a verbal commitment--despite selecting the wines only under the assumption they counted toward our membership obligation. WE WERE FORCED TO BUY WINE despite that not being part of the member requirement in pamphlet. We are now unexpectedly locked into purchasing three allocations of wine that we do not enjoy, instead of the two we originally accepted as part of what we believed would be a different experience than advertised. What originally felt like a reasonable tradeoff has turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. We gave them the opportunity to make this right prior to leaving a review yet though chose not to -- we will not be back. read more

We enjoyed the South American wine from Safari. It was one of our top 3 from the wineries/tasting rooms we visited during this trip.The gentleman who helped us was great at asking questions to help us figure out what to taste and ultimately purchase. The tasting room was a reasonable size, and we chose to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful day. There was a fence in the back so you didn't have the Hill Country Views while enjoying your beverages, but we still enjoyed being outdoors. We didn't order any food, but the table next to us had a flatbread pizza which smelled delicious! read more
