Now for the story... I was taking my 93 year old mother to lunch, and parked in the lot to the left side of the door. That side only has a few spaces but chose it because it's close to the door. My mother can't walk far; she has to use a rollator. Before I got out of the car to help her get out, she started complaining about feeling tired and hurting from her leg problem, so I asked her if she'd rather get take-out instead, and she was fine with that. A gentleman walking past my car must have misheard me and questioned why I was there, asking "Are you going to be eating here?". I was a little confused, but answered him quickly and perhaps incorrectly saying, "No". No sooner did I say that and he was all over me complaining that I couldn't stay there because he has to pay for those parking spaces. After his rant I got to explain that I was just going to get take-out... if that was OK with him. He seemed to agree, and walked away. My mother asked, "What was his problem?" I didn't have a good answer for her, but instead of leaving right away in disappointment I went ahead and walked in, apparently after he went in.
