Ordered a pasta dish on their Tuesday $10 pasta special day. When I got there, I was told it was going to be $18.99. I asked them why it wasn't for the $10 for the tuesday pasta special. The guy behind the counter told me I was supposed to mention the special when placing the order. Nowhere on the promotion does it say you have to mention the special. So if you don't know about the special, they're going to charge you regular price and for customers who do know about the special, they'll give them the discount. This doesn't sound right to me. I won't be coming back to these scammers.

They offer plenty of platters, appetizers, burritos, tortas, and desserts, as well as boxes for groups! We ordered some empanadas and pupusas and were pretty pleased. The pupusas were not the best I've had, but they were good and had flavor. They do have some limited seating inside if you want to eat there as well, but we mainly do take out. They offer specials on their social media pages as well. Damascus is pretty limited with options, so its good to have small local spots like Ricoton to offer the food options that they do.

Unfortunately, it sounds like they had recently moved and the machine used for empanadas wasn't going to arrive for a couple more weeks. I guess we'll just have to come back! Sharing space at the convenience store attached to a gas station, Ricoton looks very unassuming. But their food is decent and that's what's important. What we got: Pupusa (beans) - 3* average, nothing special Al Pastor Quesadilla - ?? I don't know!! We took our food and left to eat at home so I didn't realize until later that they got my order wrong. I believe it was still Al Pastor meat but it was served with onion, tomatoes, and fries. Also had a side of green salad and beans. I was a bit bummed I didn't get my quesadilla (with its side of chips and salsa) but the food was still good. Like four stars good. I just have no idea what it is Birria taco - 3* definitely use the dip. Overall an average taco. Carne Asada taco - 3* also just average

Yes, even without a town full of other sandwich shops to compare it to. I was craving a sub for no apparent reason while we were on a drive trying to get my crackhead toddler to sleep and ended up here. We parked in the parking lot and the signs told us back door only (that's what she said), so we went into this tiny store, located off a rural Road. The store is straight out of the 60s, sells mostly snacks, alcohol, and snack cakes, but does have a deli. They also have spiced shrimp fried chicken and breakfast. A super nice older lady is at the counter to take your order and we went with a turkey sub and some potato salad. She then shouts the order to what I'm assuming is her husband in the back. The order was prepared in no time flat. The sandwich was actually pretty good with the softest bread. I've had in a while and lots and lots of filling. I don't know how to describe it but honestly, it's like the best homemade sandwich ever. The potato salad was pretty unique and it came with celery, which is new for me. Nice and crunchy. Etchinson doesn't need any other delis, this one is definitely the best. Despite the retro vibes, we did ask if they took Apple Pay and the lady behind the counter responded with yeah baby. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you stop by especially since two chimneys cidery is right in the neighborhood across the street.

They have all the basics you can expect from a country/beer store, BUT ...very limited selections. And with additional hot food items, and tables people can hang around at. There are TV for sports. Figured it was a safe pic because it's a typical American food place but we were surprised it would be this tasty. We all got different burgers so we could taste different kinds. But luckily for us, a tiny table fit only for two was available. It was all the way in the back! But that was totally fine. We liked our little corner. The place was definitely packed but our server never forgot about us. Back in our little corner were memorabilia from the local schools dating back to the 90's from what I can tell. It really had a nostalgic feel. To start we got the crabby rolls from the specials menu. It was more creamy than crabby. I tasted more of the cream cheese than any crab. For entrees we ordered the fish and chips and main street Madeira. The fish came in small filets that were the size of chicken tenders. Not a huge fan of the portion. The fries were soggy but glad that the coleslaw came in a lettuce pocket. At least that prevented the coleslaw liquid from seeping onto the fish and fries. The chicken madeira was fantastic. I almost never order chicken breasts fearing that it would be dry but this was not. The two breast meat was cooked in a madeira wine sauce topped with mushrooms and a mozzarella, fontina, and spinach cheese blend. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. I can taste the lovely wine. Served along the dish was red mashed potatoes. I love red mashed potatoes because it has a bit of the skin. I liked this dish a lot! Service was attentive, friendly, and fast. This place is a neighborhood gem. Not sure about parking. There was some street parking and there may be a lot next to the restaurant but from the direction that we came, we ended up parking across the street. A tricky crossing because the crosswalk was up the block.

Good: food is decent Bad: nasty owner…read moreI visit Concettas maybe once a year. This time was really unfortunate, and I hope for the owner's sake my experience was just a fluke. Now for the story... I was taking my 93 year old mother to lunch, and parked in the lot to the left side of the door. That side only has a few spaces but chose it because it's close to the door. My mother can't walk far; she has to use a rollator. Before I got out of the car to help her get out, she started complaining about feeling tired and hurting from her leg problem, so I asked her if she'd rather get take-out instead, and she was fine with that. A gentleman walking past my car must have misheard me and questioned why I was there, asking "Are you going to be eating here?". I was a little confused, but answered him quickly and perhaps incorrectly saying, "No". No sooner did I say that and he was all over me complaining that I couldn't stay there because he has to pay for those parking spaces. After his rant I got to explain that I was just going to get take-out... if that was OK with him. He seemed to agree, and walked away. My mother asked, "What was his problem?" I didn't have a good answer for her, but instead of leaving right away in disappointment I went ahead and walked in, apparently after he went in. I ordered from the nice girl that was at the register. As I was waiting for my order, the man was in the kitchen, never looked at me again, didn't bother apologizing for any miscommunication or attitude, just stuck to his work. OK, fine, let him do what he needs to do. As I was driving home my mother insistantly asking me, "What was wrong with that guy?". I responded, "Well, I'm not sure. Maybe he just had a bad day". I further explained that I've always liked that place. But I'm never going back there after that experience." Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. By the way, the sub rolls are rather dry and stale... for both of us. I'd give four stars for the food in the past, but would only give one star to the man who sounded like he was the owner. So three stars is an overall score, not a one-time score. This time was two stars... as I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.
