We're relatively new to the area and didn't have a direct veterinarian yet until our poor cat, Professor, broke one of his canines. I was freaking out and called all the nearest vet clinics by our home and Dr. Weintraub was able to take us in that same day. Lisa, her receptionist was such a sweetheart and gave me comfort over the phone, reassuring me that everything's going to be okay and that he'll taken of care of that same day. Once we arrived, we felt very welcome by Lisa and Dr. Weintraub, their service was very kind and patient, we didn't wait long at all. Dr. Weintraub is lovely and I didn't feel judged at all, she loved my biggo cat! And made sure he felt comfortable. He was in pain from his tooth being bent inwards of his mouth and she removed that tooth within the same day, just so my big guy can eat. Bless her heart, he was in so much pain and I felt it, but as soon as she took off that tooth--he felt so much relief and was himself again when he got home. We booked a follow-up appointment 2 days after and they took care of the rest of his treatment with his other teeth. My cat was taken care of within a few days, he wasn't in pain anymore and was himself again within a day. Such quick service and prices were reasonable! January 22, 2021 I am a long time, satisfied client of Jeronimo Clinic. Dr. Barbara Weintraub and the rest of the staff of the Clinic are all wonderful professionals. Recently, my dog Nico had surgery done at the clinic to remove his salivary gland. Dr. Weintraub took extra care of Nico and I am happy to report that my dog did not develop any complications and her stitches have all disappeared. She also discovered that my dog Nico had Diabetic a problem which she later resolved using treatments. I was also concerned about my other dog, Fiona, which I think was feeling unwell. So, I brought her to the clinic where Dr. Weintraub immediately requested for some laboratory work. Unfortunately, the tests show that she has Cushing disease. Horrific experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Please, please, please DO NOT take your animals to this place. Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. They ONLY want your money.. I had taken in my cat in very bad shape and paid $200 to ultimately receive very little feedback on what was wrong with him. After bringing him back home, his state worsened dramatically and it was clear he was in severe pain. My father called the office to ask about the physical exam and possible euthanasia options to which the doctor showed no sympathy. To say this doctor was extremely rude would be an understatement. No kindness in her heart for an extremely sad family looking to help their sick cat. Since we refused to pay more money for further diagnostics (our cat was elderly and far too sick to recover), she quite frankly could not care less about helping us. read more

We have been going to Dr. Weintraub for three years. We found her first when our Rottweiler wasn't feeling well. She saved his life when she ran tests that found fluid in his lungs - pneumonia. Her staff are always friendly, amazing with pets and we have always had a great experience. When our bulldog passed away suddenly, they were sympathetic and kind. When we had to move out of the country, De. Weintraub, Kaitlyn and Lisa heard from me daily (hi, y'all! I miss you already!!) She took care of the health certificates for my big boys to travel and when the certs didn't arrive before our own flight (our dogs left the day after), Dr. Weintraub drove to Inglewood to hand deliver the certificates to our shipping company. They have a super low staff turnover - we've seen the same folks the entire time - so we got the opportunity to get to know everyone really well. I am HIGHLY disappointed and FRUSTRATED with this clinic. Back in August our dog, who we've had for 17 years, had a massive seizure that we caught on camera. We showed the vet the video tape and there was no conversation about quality of life, all they wanted to do was labs. We did the labs on a Tuesday, called Wednesday, the vet was out, called again on Friday only to find out the office was closed for 2 weeks. I asked if anyone could go over the labs with me and the office staff said no, and was not helpful at all. Finally I ASKED for a copy of the labs and they emailed it to me. Still no one followed up!! Since August our dog was peeing randomly all over the floor, and he could barely stand up. Many times we had to pick him up to get into his bed. Our dog was in PAIN and miserable. We called today cause he had a horrible night being pain, restless and his back legs were not working. Again the vet wasn't in. We asked for some guidance from the office staff and they recommend to just CALL AROUND!! Praise God for another clinic we found that took care of our dog with respect and dignity as if he was their own. We had a conversation about quality of life and what would be best for our dog and us. During his final hour of life this other clinic was gracious, kind, and sympathetic not just to our beloved dog, but to me as well. If you are looking for a place I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANIMAL MEDICAL CENTER OF MISSION VIEJO. So I temporarily foster dogs that are recovering from some sort of trauma. Recently I was fostering a "chug" "Billy" that was found in a field in Coachella and had been hit by a car. By the time he came to me he had already had surgery. Instead of taking him all the way back to Hollywood for wound care, I called Jeronimo Pet Clinic (where I take my personal pup). Dr. Weintraub agreed to help. She contacted the vet who had performed the surgery to understand what Billy needed and fixed him up. The most amazing thing was that when they brought Billy back to me, he wasn't scared. In fact I'm pretty sure he fell in love with Caitlyn, the vet tech. He just leaned against her with his underbite smile lol. In the end, even with a leg that doesn't work quite like the other, he was successfully adopted and I give the credit to Dr. Weintraub and all of her staff. Thank you! read more

I don't recommend this veterinary clinic. My cat is dying and they could not give him a proper diagnosis. The vet "Dr. Weintraub" lacks empathy for a grieving family and was talking to me rudely. They seem to only keep asking for more diagnostics and lab work, and she couldn't assess my cat's health very well with the physical/visual examination. I expected that she can assess how deteriorated his health was, but she said he was dehydrated and had fleas. When we brought the cat home, his health continued to fail. Also, for euthanasia they don't allow for the family to be with the pet in the last moments. I will never use this vet again. Very sad. read more

I definitely would not recommend this vet. My cats don't go to the vet very often because they are indoor cats but unfortunately found a small lump on my cat's back end that I was concerned about. I took her in for an opinion and after talking in circles making no sense and not getting any real answers she basically wanted to cut my cat open and remove a huge area and then have it biopsied. I asked why a biopsy could not be done first to rule out whether it was even dangerous or not and again talking in circles gave me reasons why she couldn't. This place is not concerned about the well-being of your pet, they are aggressive in treatment and money makers. They try to push everything on you they can, vaccines, flea treatment, even insisting on doing a dental while they are under even when you haven't asked for it. Thank God I went to my dog's vet who I absolutely love and Trust to get a second opinion, and sure enough he did a biopsy right then and there, put it on a slide and knew right away it was benign and he was not worried. It was basically fat that I was told by this vet that it wasn't. Now that's a great vet. One that is not just looking for money, and does what is best for the pets. Please do your research before going to a vet, and go with your gut and always get a second opinion if needed. It could save your pet's life, and also money in your pocket. read more

I don't recommend this clinic at all. Had the worst experience I've ever had with a Veterinarian. Dr Weintraub ran a lot of expensive tests saying she was ruling things out. Had a male cat with urinary blockage so I was charged for an expensive culture and my cat had to be sedated for an Xray. I was charged $200 for the sedation and $315 for the Xray and charged more for medications. I called four times asking the doctor to call me back because I had questions I wanted the doctor to answer. One time I was told the doctor was on the phone and she'd call me back another time I was told they'd give the doctor a message. Another time I was told the office was closing at noon and the doctor would call me from home. I never got a call back. Then my two year old cat got so ill I had to take him to another Vet who called three times to try to get my cat's medical history-Dr Weintraub never called the new Vet back either. I'm pretty disappointed. Been going here for years, in the past their pricing was fair and they never pushed the up-sell. Lately that has drastically changed. I took my pup in, she had diarrhea, Dr Nasre said she might have --- but it requires blood work to be sure. He had me leave her for two hours so she could be treated for this (with iv fluids), even though he hadn't yet done the blood test. When I picked her up, he showed me the blood work and she didn't have elevated white cells, the only solid symptom of ---. I felt like I had been railroaded into leaving her. They also said it would be around $400, when I picked her up the bill was more like $600! Yes, she's doing well today, but I'm not sure she wouldn't have been anyway. In the docs words, "she's a strong dog." I was sent home with bland food and antibiotics. This is the second time an expensive procedure was seemingly the only solution. I feel like a recommendation for a bland diet, etc. would have been as effective and far less stressful for my pup. Not sure when medicine became a money game but that certainly seems the case here. read more

Over 30+ years ago, the vet was Dr. Hunt, and he was our family vet until he retired. He was a wonderful vet and man, and though well deserved, he was missed very much after he retired. Since then, there have been a few vets that have passed through this clinic, but Dr. W. is a sweet, cool lady and not only is she personable, she cares and keeps it real. the staff is great too. Lisa is my girl, Ann is very mellow and cool, and it's just a good local vet and vibe. They are always so sweet to my little old guy Jack, and tolerate me lol... I always love a place where they provide great costo we service who doesn't ? I didn't feel it at this place. The staff was unprofessional and and didn't even try to provide it. When I called in to confirm my pets a point met her response was ( ok? But who are you? I don't even know who u are and u want me to help u? ) another this was the dr. Looked like she didn't want to spend the time to talk to be and explain what was happening with my dog. They requested to have blood drawn and she had to have minor surgery, they also said she needed antibiotics and a posible biopsy the whole thing g cost me $980!!! I went to this clinic because after calling about 6 other places the proves for a check up and shots were the lowest prices available. The price doesn't bother me much it's the level of service they provided. I also felt like they didn't care for my pet much. This is just my opinion based on my experience. If u decide to go I may have a better one. I just know I won't be back again. Update: I appreciate Mirah replying back to my original post and exposing all my dog got done. I also appreciate her apologies. Also Explaining the financial options that were not asked for at the time. I didn't complain about the payment I thought it was steep but had no problem paying in full and NOT payments. Again the payment was not the problem. Again my experience was a sad one and unfortunately I felt the staff was not friendly. But again this was my experience and I'm not saying don't go to this place, I'm saying hopefully you will have a better experience than I did. I also appreciate the breakdown on the "time" spent with my dog but I still felt like the vet was rushed thru my appointment and didn't feel that love for the animal someone in that profession should have. Again that's my opinion and I'm not going to change my rating based on the reply and "apology" I got from the technician. Exposing most of the info my dog got done here shows how unprofessional and they can be. Don't think I will be returning here again. Seems like Dr. Brehmer has very little or no knowledge about cats. Maybe he's better with dogs. I brought my cat here because he seemed ill. We dropped over $300 for his visit and the vet couldn't even diagnose what was wrong with my cat. Don't get me wrong, the staff was extremely nice and handled my boy like a baby, so thanks for that. We have been taking our pets here for 25 years. Jeronimo was referred to us by a neighbor when we moved into the area. I feel confident in saying that our pets were well cared for when in the care of this vet clinic. One cat and multiple dogs during this period of time. Over the years, it has changed hands a few times. Some vets I haven't been so pleased with, but still received good care for our pets (bottom line). SINCE Dr. Weintraub took residence, everything changed. She takes the time to explain any condition or treatments and care with the pets owner. The staff has been here forever, which is another GOOD sign... even with the change of hands, the staff remained (thankfully because they are all awesome). It doesn't matter how busy they are, they are patient and polite and hold and care for our pet as if it was their own...calling them by name and holding them close. Irrisponsible GOLD DIGGER should be the name of this vet! I have a 13 years old 5 pounds British long hair Chihuahua. I took her to remove 5 lumps on her tummy. They didn't even fully get all my pet's information including if she's spayed or not and finished the surgery. Afterwards told me if she's not spayed lumps will keep coming back. If you got the information I would had her spayed within the same procedure. Well it's too late now you will have to bring her back later they said, and kept on complaining how my dog tried to bite them. She was in pain after the surgery and you tried to mess with her, as a vet you should understand, plus she's a 5 pounds Chihuahua not a pitbull! 6 months later, one lump came back I took her back. They didn't even want to look at the lump brought up again afraid getting bit! They want to do more test. I had to call them 3 times in a row to get the test results. The vet was rude keep cutting me off while I tried to ask questions and again brought up the if she's not spayed lumps will keep coming and she bit us last time! Let me remind you again: If you got all the information before the surgery she could be spayed during the same procedure! She's 13 years old and have heart murmur problem I'm scared of putting her through another surgery now. That lump is getting bigger! "Thank you for all your "care "for my dog!!" I have been going to this location for 10+ years and they have always checked with me before doing any work on my dogs. Recently my 15 year old needed a teeth cleaning and a removal of a growth. I received a call when he was under and was told he needed 3 teeth removed and I asked which ones and they gave me the description of 2 in the front and 1 in the back that was broken. I picked my dog up and he looked really rough and I got home and looked at the bill they emailed me ( due to covid) and they had removed 8 teeth. Of course I assumed this was just a misunderstanding and I called to let them know and the vet got on and told me I heard wrong. I of course lost my temper because I took my dog to get his teeth cleaned and he is 15 and she removed 8 teeth without permission. I am considering a lawsuit because it has been a rough 2 weeks for my little guy and it is not ok to remove that many teeth from my old dog! read more
