This place has a couple of specials that were awesome. They have a Sunday burger special and an early bird special. The group I was with enjoyed their meals as did I. Service was good and the price was fair.

After a long morning in Sabino Canyon, we were able to walk to this bar for happy hour and wine/beer. I had a wedge salad and was amazed at the amount of bacon and cheese on it! Husband had three sliders and I had one and he finished the salad. Lots of locals here, and a few tourists. Would totally recommend the establishment, especially for HH. Service was incredibly attentive, too.

The service at this restaurant was excellent. Our server was very attentive. The ambience was casual and comfortable. I ordered the brazed ribs with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The asparagus was phenomenal. I enjoyed the braised ribs and mashed potatoes.

Lunch before, dinner now. Our hostess was so warm she reminds me of a summer breeze. The ambiance felt dewy due to the typhoon that's coming, but it relaxed me. Most importantly- the food and drinks came at the perfect time and hit the perfect spot. Server did his job impeccably there's nothing to complain about. 4.5 stars. I'll be a comeback kid.

Short ribs with delicious mashed potatoes

A few weeks ago my husband and I drove past and commented on how we have never been there but should, as they must be good to have lasted so long. Then, as fate would have it, we had a friend of the daughter with us the other night and her family is only doing restaurants with patios. Here was our chance! Not only does bistro 44 have a patio, but they have misters too. We were seated quickly and the server was friendly and helpful. She gave us the long list of specials and helped us make selections. She brought fresh delicious bread and kept our waters filled. The food was great, especially the mashed potatoes served with the short ribs. Not sure what herbs were in them, but delcious. My husbands steak was perfectly done, which he almost never thinks happen. My daughter really enjoyed her Cuban sandwich and the old bay seasoning on the fries is fantastic. We have heard good things about the burgers, so will be back for a 1/2 off Sunday

We made a reservation well in advance and even then there were limited time options. The atmosphere of the restaurant is slightly upscale while still being cozy. I love all the plants! Our server was very knowledgeable and was able to give several recommendations. We ordered the grilled and chilled beets and the steak skewers for appetizers. The beets and everything that came with them was very fresh! I love anything with pickled onions. The steak appetizer was excellent and my dad could not stop talking about them. Next, I ordered the swordfish special and my dad got the pork chop. Everything was cooked to perfection and flavor was everywhere! For dessert we split the dark chocolate ganache. The ganache was very rich but paired wonderfully with the whipped cream and other flavors. I don't drink, but my dad also loved the cocktails he ordered! If Tito & Pep has been on your list do not hesitate any longer. I very much regret not coming here sooner and I highly recommend giving it a try!

Neither of us had been there in quite a while and were looking forward to it. The restaurant is clean and spacious and we were seated right away and given menus. Eclectic is a perfect name. Everyone should be able to find something that appeals: sandwiches, egg dishes, salads, Mexican, and more. I'd been craving a Rueben and my friend decided to try the taco salad, which is on the seasonal menu. The waiter complimented my choice, saying the Rueben is the best thing on the menu and likely the best Rueben I've ever had, so I was excited. He offered sweet potato fries as an add-on, and I took the offer. Our food arrived soon. I am a bit late on the photos, sorry. A couple bites are gone from my sandwich and the top layer of my friend's salad was already gone. The salad was billed as chicken, beans, cheese, and a host of others things, packed into a generously-sized bowl. She was sure the meat was pork based on taste and color and asked the waiter, but he said it was chicken. My sandwich was plump with corned beef, cheese and sauerkraut. It had lots of tasty sauce but the bottom bread was so soggy that it disintegrated and was difficult to eat. I ended up separating the breads, scraped all the good stuff onto the crispy side of bread, and it was good. I was getting full, so just ate the insides of the second half, so didn't deal with the other soggy toast. The sweet potato fries were lightly crispy and should have been served hot.they did taste good and came with a dipping sauce I enjoyed. All in all, it was a nice lunch out, great company, but the food was nothing special. My sandwich, fries, her salad, two soft drinks came to $54 plus tip.

There was no wait and our order was taken about 15 minutes after we were seated. That was a sign of things to come. We received our order ~40 minutes later. We needed to get to an appointment in 1.5 hours and had to push that to a later time because... good luck paying out or getting iced tea refills or pretty much anything after receiving your order. After our server finally stopped by and said she would bring our check, we watched her run out to the outdoor dining area five or so times and deliver three other checks, but not ours. I cornered her in the kitchen where she was with a manager and asked for our check. There was no apology from her or the manager. Thankfully, we could scan a QR code to pay. Any manager who does not step in when a customer has to ask for their check (in the freaking kitchen!) needs improvement. I doubt anything will change considering her lack of concern.

What I mean here is, the service was satisfactory, but I'm not inclined to stay or hang out - the vibe was more of a silent encouragement to move along. Be aware for travelers, according to Arizona state law, you cannot bring any outside purchased alcoholic beverage in the gazebo, patio, or in the pool area. The staff stated you cannot bring any beverage they sold you on this property into the pool area either, which conflicted with signage. Overall, I'd describe the few times I visited during my stay as, "so-so" or "fine, but would rather find somewhere else."

With its common tables and chairs, drab décor, universal motifs, morning breakfast commonalities, the open huge windows to view parts of the property, and the comings and goings of the welcoming staff hustling back and forth devotedly and courteously helping customers out. But there is a big but! A but that thoroughly surprised me. First, a close look at the restaurant's menu is a little surprising. They offer an array of international-style dishes that is most uncommon to hotel eateries and although not a huge menu by any means the offerings we tried during our stay were well prepared, professionally displayed, very, very well-done facsimiles of more authentic possibilities elsewhere - and most importantly, tasty. From their American Classic Shrimp Cocktail to Middle Eastern style Falafel Appetizer, to their Seafood Tacos or the Bronx Pastrami and the Border Burger to the Calypso Salmon shows the kitchen's skill and impetus of putting out an amazingly different yet appetizing gastronomic ensemble. Kudos to the management, staff and cooks behind the scenes for offering such an array of goodies, heretofore almost unseen or experienced at most hotels.

I may have never tasted anything more delicious. I took home more than enough for a fabulous lunch. The hub wasn't as thrilled. He's not that much of a seafood guy, enjoying ribs or steak previously, but he decided on the fish and chips for this outing. He's used to cod for battered fish and noted that hoki didn't hold together well, breaking into small pieces, some with breading and some without. The fish and the coating were under seasoned and bland. He wasn't happy with the fries, either. He expected regular fries as our server specified, but received shoestrings, some of which were overly crisp but the ones under the fish were soggy. He did praise the cole slaw. Although neither of us could finish our meal, we did order dessert. We shared the pecan caramel cheesecake and it was ridiculously delicious: smooth, tangy, and not too sweet. Just perfect. We managed to finish it and mentioned to the manager/owner? how good it was. He laughed and said no judging if we licked the plate. The ambiance of the dining room is elegance, almost vintage, and feels special. The restaurant was very busy, which I am thrilled to see, but quite noisy. We were so lucky to grab a parking space in the small front lot, because I have limited mobility. I would love a rail on either side of the small ramp because it is a little steep.
