This has been, by far, the worse Jerry Bob's I have ever been to. My girlfriend wanted an omelette with green peppers, mushrooms and olives. That turned into an ordeal because you can't build your own omelette here. So after much confusion with a waitress, who was far from pleasant, she brought out a veggie omelette. With not a single ingredient my girlfriend had asked for. OK. Accidents happen. But the fact the waitress acted like we were inconveniencing her so much just added to how incredibly annoying it was. So the waitress took the omelette back and returned with an undercooked one made with just egg whites. Like they didn't want to waste real eggs on a remake. And just like another reviewer had left, the portions are small compared to other Jerry Bob's especially for the price you pay. I would not recommend anyone coming to this one. read more

I love jerry bobs and have been going to this location ever since it opened. Lately things have been changing... I don't know where to begin! QUICK RANT: Just recently I went in and ordered a simple breakfast i.e eggs hashbrowns meat and toast. I never get toast (because I have a few health issues) so at jerry bobs I'm always able to get tomato slices. (Just 2) HOWEVER the other day the waitress told me I couldn't get tomato slices. I had mentioned that I am always able to, but she said that there have been some changes. I overheard my waitress and who it seemed to be the manager(who clearly doesn't have any respect for employees or customers just by the way she talks to people) talking about the whole tomato situation. And the "manager" says it's 1.00 more to get tomato slices. TWO tomato slices for a dollar. I don't know if they are doing their math/inventory right but 2 tomato slices is a whole lot cheaper than 2 slices of bread! Then I overheard the manager saying "if they don't like it they can leave" It just seemed like a big deal for tomato slices. I have been a loyal customer to this location ever since they opened. Quite honestly, I felt like I was being a burden. It was just an uncomfortable environment at my fave breakfast joint. I think I will only be going back to visit some of the waitstaff, just because they are so kind and friendly. I think one of the managers had to leave because she had a baby. Hopefully she comes back so things go back to normal and the restaurant can feel family friendly again. I don't want to look for another breakfast joint! read more

The breakfast foods we had were adequate, although portion size was small compared to similar restaurants at the same price point. The service was horrible and rude. No refills offered on beverages, never asked how the meal was, and charged the wrong amount to my credit card. I received the correct bill, then when she brought back the check to sign it was for more money. Hopefully she did cancel that charge l8e she claimed when I brought it to her attention. Just left your restaurant, yes you had a large breakfast crowd and your sign said seat yourself. We sat for half an hour and weren't acknowledged that we were there. People that came in after us were given water and order taken. If this is the kind of service we will happily go elsewhere,like we did this morning. P.S. Mimi's Cafe thanks you for ignoring us. We went to the Jerry Bob's on River & La Cholla last Friday for breakfast. The waitress knew we had a buy 1, get 1 free coupon so the service was pretty horrendous and the worst part is she charged us $2.38 for green chiles to one plate. $2.38 for the chiles makes no sense because it's an uneven odd number to charge for a side. If the charge had been $1.50, it would've made sense. She did not let us know that the addition would cost a third of a meal which I think is completely inappropriate. The food was okay (nothing spectacular) but we were really ticked off that she charged so much for the upsell and let her service slide because she knew there was a coupon with our dine-in. I expect this location to step up their service if they want to maintain the clientele. read more

Horrible service in the beginning. We walked in and we sat down the same time as another couple. We ordered coffee from a waitress who was clearly unhappy to see us and waited 20 minutes before we had to ask for some service, I looked over and the couple that sat down at the same time as us was already eating who had the same waitress as us. The manager right away had a different server take our order and gave us our coffee for free but that wasn't enough to save our business with them. On top of the bad service my food was not the best tasting breakfast I've had compared to the Jerry Bob's I've been to on prince. I do recommend that location on prince and Campbell by far! read more

We are here for lunch and the food was no better the hospital food. My husband got the fish and it was thin and very dry. I got the a dinner That was bad as well! They were kind enough to take the price of my husbands meal off the ticket. For that I give the people a 4 star. read more

I have been going to all Jerry Bob's for year. Today, I went to Jerry Bob's on River, I called in my order first. Sierra answered the phone and told me hold on and dropped the phone on sounded like a counter. Then when she got back on the phone, I was giving my order and her listening skills were not to par. She would interrupt me and didn't say back the right order. I asked her if I may talk to Paula, since she helps me most of the time, and she got very sarcastic. Then when she was ringing up my order, I gave her my free meal card and wouldn't let me use it. I know she is new, but she needs to be taught some Customer Service Skills. read more

Had the chicken fried steak pancakes hash browns and eggs all for less than $9. The chicken fried steak was decent and my eggs were cooked properly. Waitstaff was friendly and they brought us a pitcher of water so we would never run out. I know some people like certain jerry bobs in town better than others. Went to Jerry Bob's for lunch today with my husband. Arrived at 11 35 a.m. Found a table and shortly someone came by to take our drink order. At 11 50 we placed our order. Taco salad for me and three tacos for my husband . Then we waited and waited. Finally at 12 20 we got our lunch. I really enjoyed the taco salad but my husband didn't enjoy the tacos. Too much lettuce and hardly any meat. Said he wouldn't order them again. Our waitress was great. Wish I could remember her name. We'll be back. read more

My friend and I made the mistake of going to lunch at the Jerry Bob's on Houghton Road in Rita Ranch. We both ordered cheeseburgers and French fries and asked them to hold the onions. The order took 35 minutes to get to the table and my friend's burger had the onions we asked them to hold. Further, her French fries were salted to the point where they were inedible. Our server Savannah was very friendly, and did a great job. It's too bad the food didn't match up. One of the worst meals I've ever had. Thank God I had French fries on the plate, or I wouldn't have had anything to eat. The frozen chicken breast on the TexMex plate couldn't have been much smaller, and the canned salsa covering it up was really bad. My wife's burger was cooked to shoe leather. First experience was less than pleasant but the staff were friendly. Just got back from trying to give it another shot and I will say with full certainty that I will NEVER be dining there again. Waiter had no idea what he was doing, they obviously forgot our order as we watched multiple people come in after and leave having fully eaten before ours even arrived. Not even a single apology from our server. Once we got the food it was garbage. Very clear they rushed ours out as fast as possible, things were either over cooked or extremely under cooked. I've been to plenty of Jerry Bob's in town. This meal was adequate, but the time from ordering and being served was over an hour. Yes, I said OVER AN HOUR. It got to the point where the waitress would come by, apologize for the delay several times, yet no food. Adjacent tables were finishing their meals, and joking with us about why we hadn't been served. I'm a patient guy, however. When we finally got served, the waitress came by and said she would discount our check. She took of the price of two coffees! We asked to speak to the manager, Juan. Instead a female worker appeared, listened to us, went to the kitchen and talked to Juan. She returned, and this time discounted us one of the entrees. We remarked that we had a coupon that woukd have netted us the same result, and asked to have the entire check comped. She returned to Juan, discussed this with him again, and ended up comping our entire bill. Hijole! Customer service should be obvious, but not to these folks! Visited Jerry Bobs on River a couple month ago. Dining area only had two tables occupied (and eating their food) upon us entering. When ordering or beverages, we also ordered our food as we knew what we wanted and we were in a hurry. When our food was done we saw it sitting on the shelf where the cooks place it when done, yet the waiter never bothered to look. He then proceeds to enter the dining area to clear off tables!!! I told my daughter never again will we visit Jerry Bobs. Fast forward to today......we decided to give them another chance. We all ordered eggs, bacon & biscuits and gravy. My daughter also ordered french toast. They brought everything; but, forgot to make the french toast. I will say the eggs and bacon were good; but, the gravy was COLD. Cold gravy does not taste good. Then the the french toast is brought to the table..........2 pieces for $3.99. Wow. I can honestly say we will not be back. read more

Good food and good service. Waitress was very pleasant and attentive, excellent tasting coffee, crispy bacon and good biscuits and gravy. Our food was out pretty quickly. Not many customers, but I suppose people are unaware its even there. It's located in the Basha's shopping center on River Rd facing La Cholla. Jerry Bobs has a good reputation for good food at fair prices, and locations going up all over town. Once you've tried Jerry Bob's you will most definitely be returning. We have been to this Jerry Bob's a number of times and things were good. Good service, food and friendly wait staff. Friday October 16th we went there specifically to get their Fish Meal but we were a bit early and we were told through the wait staff that they wouldn't serve it until 2 PM. So, we decided to have something else to eat since we were there. My girlfriend had a French Dip which was OK, and I ordered a Patty Melt with Jalapenos on it. The Patty Melt came with what looked like a slice of processed cheese melted into the toast, no fried onions and the toast was HARD. It had been put into the toaster until it was dried out, it never ever was put on the grill. The hamburger patty was about the size of a quarter on one half of the toast and covered about 1/3rd of the other half. My girlfriend likes scalding hot coffee and she asked our waiter if he could put it in the microwave as it was not hot enough. His answer was that they wouldn't let him do that. On a refill, served by a lady, she again asked for it to be put in the microwave to heat it and was told, "no problem". Unless there was a substitute cook in the kitchen and our waiter was brand new on Friday, there was no reason for such lousy service and food. Never been to this location before, never had a problem with any other location. It was almost full but there were a handful of tables open. We began to seat ourselves and was told we could sit anywhere. They came and took our drink order pretty quickly and we received them within a few minutes, the girl who delivered our drinks said they would be back to take our order. I'd say it was almost 10 minutes before they finally came and took out order. I started to wonder who our waitress was because 2 different females took the drink order and delivered them. Finally, one of the females came and took our order, so we must have been there for 15 minutes at least before our food order was taken. 10 minutes had gone by and a lady got sat in the booth next to us. Another 10 minutes later, she got her food before we did. So she got there after us, ordered after us, but received hers before us. Our waitress refilled my husband's coffee twice the whole time and she asked if I wanted a refill on my soda, I shook my head no and she could tell we were wondering where our food was, she says your food is almost ready, the kitchen is overwhelmed right now. But there was only maybe one new customer that came in since we had been there. I told my husband if we didn't get our food in the next 5 minutes, we would just leave. So, 40 minutes and no food, we walked to the register and asked if we could pay for our beverages and our waitress said our food was almost ready. I said that we didn't want to wait anymore and she said we didn't have to pay for our drinks and we left. No apology, nothing. Im thinking either our waitress forgot to enter our order, or, the 3 cooks in the kitchen just wasn't concerned about how fast the food was being cooked. They did not look flustered, so I honestly don't know what the issue was. Won't be returning. Waste of our time. read more
