Jerry played an essential role in our proposal and then later in our engagement photos. According to the fiancé, the proposal took weeks of planning and Jerry was involved in every step of the way. He was flexible, accommodating, detail-oriented, and reliable. In high-pressure situations such as taking that "perfect" shot of the proposal, he executed without a glitch. Jerry was our photographer for my wedding in Pasadena on 3/8/2014. He was prompt and came on time to my hotel room. He blended in seamlessly that sometimes I forgot he was there! He snapped away at the rings, shoes, dresses, and us 5 five chatting away while our hairs were being curled and eyes poked with eyeshadow. After hair and makeup, he snapped a couple of photos with the window light. The hotel room we were in was old and the window was a direct view of the balcony littered with cigarette butts on dirty grey ceiling. He used the lighting instead to catch that glow on my face (see pic where I'm demurely looking to the right on the bed)! He also took a few "just-finished-getting-ready-take-advantage-of-perfect-hair-and-makeup" posed shots (see pics) before making our way to City Hall for additional photos. He was easy to work with and when the ceremony began I was too nervous to even think about photographs. But right after, he immediately uploaded a few for me to see which I appreciated. Living abroad, my husband and I were very nervous about hiring a photographer without sitting down with them and viewing their work in person. Considering we had a lot of expenses having to fly half way across the world for our wedding, we spent hours looking for a photographer that would be flexible and willing to work within our budget while not having to compromise on the quality and hours serviced at the wedding. From our first skype session with Jerry, we could see his passion for the work he does and his easy-going yet very professional attitude he had. We hit it off right away, and he put all of my concerns at ease and truly accommodated us in every way possible. As our time was very limited before the wedding to take engagement photos, he went above and beyond to be flexible with our schedule. It was my husband and I's first time ever taking professional photos and were very nervous going in. But Jerry did such an amazing job guiding us and making us feel comfortable. To top it off, I really wanted to print canvases to display at our wedding and he was able to provide all completed files within 2 days!!! Jerry is very diligent and wants to provide the best service to his clients. He scoped out the locations ahead of time for both the engagement session and wedding to ensure that he was familiar with the environment and could have some ideas ready so the day of could go by efficiently. Mind you, our venue was over 2 hours away! Come our wedding, he was honestly the glue that kept us on track and just blended in so well with our wedding. Jerry and his team were not intrusive and truly captured all the raw emotions of our wedding. You know you have a great photographer when you have friends and family asking if he is an old friend, because of the way he effortlessly interacted with the party so amazingly. Post wedding, he was very patient with me and fixed/edited every small detail I asked for. On the day of our wedding, we realized that we accidentally left my wedding band back at home, and since we had an out of town wedding, there was no way we were going to get it before the wedding. We had to buy a "stand in ring" for the ceremony. Any bride would be bummed by this mishap, but Jerry did such an amazing job handling the situation and even offered to take ring shots with my actual wedding band after the wedding. This definitely helped calm the situation and I am so thankful that he went out of his way so I could have those pictures! Jerry is so compassionate and just an amazing person. Jerry captured our wedding on August 8, 2015 in San Francisco, and our photos turned out AMAZING! I am so impressed with Jerry's attention to detail and his dedication throughout such a long day. Jerry was professional, accommodating, and easy to work with from the beginning to the end. He went over our expectations and itinerary for the day well in advance and provided valuable feedback on how we could better arrange our schedule (considering lighting, weather, timing for group photos etc). We really appreciated Jerry's experience and insight as he guided us through details we wouldn't have thought of on our own. He is also prompt with responding to emails and calls, and always respectful of our time. The day of our wedding, Jerry was punctual (even early!) to the apartment where I was getting ready with my bridemaids. He did a great job staying "invisible" and capturing all the little moments. Jerry was also great with time; despite a hiccup in our schedule Jerry was able to get to the church and capture some great shots of the guys getting ready before our ceremony started. Even though we had a tight schedule for the day, I never felt rushed or stressed by our photographer. Jerry's good nature and sense of humor helped put me and the groom at ease and allowed us to just be ourselves. Jerry was flexible with all our requests and helped us take TONS of photos with our family and relatives which was very important to us. When my husband and I spontaneously decided to play the piano at the church, Jerry was also able to capture natural and fun photos for us in the moment. When we were looking for a photographer, we knew what we wanted: a person experienced with their photography, understand what we wanted, and then be creative enough to take our ideas beyond our own expectations. That's why we felt so fortunate to find Jerry Puts Photography. To be honest, the experience and the photos exceeded our imaginations. Before the photo shoot, we met with Jerry to discuss the type of overall vibe we wanted: something more natural and outdoors. He had great recommendations on locations and even had recommendations for color schemes...i.e. what colors would go well with the background in terms of our clothing. My fiance and I rarely take photos together, so when we decided to take our engagement photos, we were not sure how to approach it or what to expect. Jerry was very responsive and made the experience simple and fun for us. He was very accommodating to our schedule; set up a time that worked for us and even gave some suggestions about locations and what colors and attire would work well. He guided us through the process since we did not know exactly what we wanted. Before our session, Jerry chatted with us to just to catch a glimpse of our personalities and interest. I told him that I am an avid runner, so automatically he made the suggestion that I bring my running shoes. I am so glad he came up with that idea because some of my favorite photos from the session were ones where I was wearing my running shoes! I thought that made the photos unique, fun, and very us. The timing was perfect since we were able to catch the sunset without being rushed. Even with the windy conditions, my Fiance and I were both comfortable through out the entire session, and Jerry made the photos work even with my hair flying everywhere. My Fiance and I are also about a foot apart in height difference, so Jerry was able to improvise poses and angles that made the pictures work. A friend recommended Jerry to my fiancé and I. We could not have been more grateful for the recommendation. Jerry was a perfect fit for us for many reasons. We communicated primarily through e-mail and he always made sure to address all my questions and concerns, which I had a lot of. He responded in a timely matter and was very flexible with working with me when picking locations and dates. I felt like I already knew him because he was so easy going and I literally felt like I was talking to a friend. He was great at providing his professional opinion and was very open to the ideas that I came up with. At one point I had this idea of a photo and Jerry wanted to help carry out my idea. He was so into the photo with us we all didn't see the waves washing up and he literally was soaked from mid leg and down. I know how uncomfortable that definitely felt but he literally laughed it off said it wasn't a big deal and continued on working with us for the next hour with soaking wet socks, shoes, and pants! In addition, I loved how attention to detail Jerry is. When we were at the beach he would clear out seaweed or unnecessary items that he felt would not be good for the photos. If he took a photo and it didn't come out to his liking he would re-take the shots again to make sure he captured something great. Jerry was so wonderful to work with because he does not make you feel pressured to perform your best so that he can capture great photos. His photos look awesome because he literally tries to make the environment feel as less stressful and as natural for you as possible therefore, he is able to easily capture a beautiful moment.
