I was surprised and perplexed when I called Jerry for my regular oil change. A woman answered and started questions as to what all entailed my oil change request. Did they rotate tires. I stated yes but I always leave it up to Jerry as he says they check every thing. Also was I a new customer? Surprise there, I have been a customer for 15 years. They were very fast and looked at the car and got back to me quickly with a diagnosis and estimate. Jerry's was recommended highly by my son's college roommate. I was in Gainesville assisting my son moving into an apartment. His car had a check engine light and was running rough. I showed up at 7:30 am when they opened and asked if they could diagnose the issues and fix it before 3 pm when I needed to leave for the airport. Everybody these days seems to be overstressed and on edge. I include myself. I showed up at Jerry's (where I always take my car for repairs) hoping to get an oil change and have a brake light replaced. Quick, informative, and Cheap! I came through on a trip from out of town and Jerry was great! He explained everything with great detail and got my car in and out in 45min! I had my AC recharged and he did an inspection of the hoses and got me a quote even though I let him know I was thinking about trading the car in. After reading many great reviews about Jerry, I took him my car which was making a loud noise whenever I turned the wheel. He told me I needed to replace a very expensive part and said that would remove the noise, so I agreed and he replaced it. After driving it a couple of days I noticed the noise came back so I took it back to him and he greeted me by saying "sorry I'm really busy I can't get to your car for a few days". After much hesitation I got him to look at my car and he said "well we really don't know what it could be, it's like picking a needle out of a hay stack". In the end all he did was lubed up all moving parts and said to me "All cars make noise, you just have a very sensitive ear". Dealing with Jerry and Vinny was a huge pain, Jerry is very untrustworthy and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. I spent almost $400 on a part that never needed replacing and was just followed by rude service. If I could, I would give him less than 1 star. read more

my car has been in and out of that place 5 times now. i've spent over 8 grand on shitty service that needs to keep coming back. they act like they know what they are doing but they dont. also- don't get a loaner car from them, i have a 2 year warranty on my jeep and it comes with that, we go to pick up the loaner and its their fuckin work truck. there was mold growing in the bed of the truck, the cab was filthy with a tattered up seat and wheel. not to mentio- that loaner had a big ass BLUE CAP ONTOP OF IT. yeah- no thanks, i'd rather walk. p.s: my homies and i call that loaner- the not gonna cap cap. oh and- get your shit together jerry. read more

My friend recommended this shop.. I took my car there after the first shop did not fix my AC. They worked on it, "fixed" I only have the same problem! That is an AC repair shop who can not find a problem and fix it half way, leave screws out. Sad! read more

Extremely disappointed and wish I can give negative star. I was recommended by a very trustful friend and he is a very decent person and is very good at car. But the result is my friend feel so bad about his recommendation and he spent his own time to help me fix all the problems this shop caused. They suggested to replace parts which should not be. Worst of all, they used used parts but charged brand parts price. So the car which never has problem of the part started to have problem shortly after. The original problem caused $400 or so at most, but they called me several times before I went to get my car back saying driving the car will be dangerous if I don't get problem a, b,c fixed. And each problem a time, so end up of $1200+ With in half a year, with help of my friend, I spent $300+ on parts replacing those parts they replaced within half year. My car is 2009 RX350 which seldom had problem before bringing to them. My suggestion is, if you are not very good at auto mechanic like me, don't go there. read more

They are amazing. I was at Napa auto parts around 5pm. Discovered I needed a new alternator, called Jerry's and he waited for me and changed the alternator while I waited. Final update: So, in early December, less than 6 months after I first took my car to Jerry's, the AC made a sudden noise and completely stopped working. Again, nice people, and I am sure they are good at lots of things, but they should probably change their name, because AC repair is not one of those things. Very sad customer. :'( read more

Brought 2 vehicles to Jerry's both broke down within 2 days of repair one was a total loss the other is sitting in yard was charged over $1200.00 for a used differential with installation was told by 2 different mechanics I called that for what I was charged I should have been given a new part I am on disability and unable to tow my car to an other mechanic till next month but was told by Jerry he had several cars for sale explained to him that car was my brother's before he passed away so replacing was not an option. So my 1986 Volvo breaks down about 30 minutes outside of Gainesville on a Friday night. I have to find a mechanic in area that I'm unfamiliar with, and I don't trust dealerships, and my car is kind of an oddball due to its age. A quick search on Google and I find Jerry's. All good reviews. Next morning I get a ride over there from the hotel, and the manager is really friendly, and said they are looking into it. They tell me the fuel pump is out. $350 to repair. Let's do it I say, this is at about 10am. I waited till 3pm, closing time, and it's done, which is ironic, but fine, whatever. I pay it, and I'm on my way. I get down the road, I'm about 30 minutes outside of Zephyrhills, and bam, dead again. I take it to my local mechanic the next day, he says it's the battery, battery is dead. Why didn't Jerry's catch that? They had the car for five hours! Then, two weeks later, I notice a slight leak underneath. I reach down and let the liquid splash on my hand. Guess what, it's fuel. It's coming from my brand new $350 fuel pump. Fantastic. Long story short, I'm not sure if Jerry's can be trusted. Your experience may differ, but I feel like I spent $350 to just get an hour closer to home when my car broke down. read more
