Decided to visit Jerry's Bar for brunch today and I was not disappointed! The host greeted us with a smile there was live music playing and our server Stephanie was great! The ambiance is relaxed and is just your perfect local hideaway gem I must say. Stephanie assisted in making some great recommendations for the table. I had the Eggs Benny which have smoked salmon over crispy hashbrowns and poached eggs. Somewhat salty but savory nonetheless. I added pancakes with cream cheese and yes it tastes equivalent to a toaster strudel so if that's your jam you must try. The salad was great as well. They have lots of options on their brunch menu and it's offered both Saturday and Sunday which is nice. I will definitely be back.

Our neighborhood bar/ restaurant finally checked it out. Very cute bar area and live bad on Friday. The drink key seems to change seasonally based on the selections currently available. The restaurant looks pretty nice too, will def be back to check out the food.

Went here for a birthday / pre comedy show dinner! We were seated in the not-main room which was a little disappointing as the main room had a much more fun and lively atmosphere. Our server was awesome! He knew the menu and specials very well and was attentive and helpful. Food was very good! I got the burger and added a fried egg. Lacked a bit of flavor, but still very good! Overall was a good experience and would love to go back to try there brunch!

10 Stars! Great restaurant/bar. Decor is nice. Staff is friendly. I went for the Sunday Jazz Brunch and enjoyed the performers. The food was delicious. The home fries with smoked Gouda was the best! There's a full bar with seasonal drinks. I enjoyed the Golden Autumn. There is outside seating and a classic car out front which is so fitting in the brick paved road. Definitely going back!

Came here for dinner and really enjoyed! There was some sort of bingo going on when we arrived so it was very loud even though we were on a separate floor. Still it was a fun vibe for us. My table split the pretzel bites (forgot to take a photo) which were good. I got the vegan chili with tofu and it was so incredibly filling. Definitely a good vegan option. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails and service was great. Would come back.

My favorite happy hour! They have a great selection of beers, cocktails, and food! You truly can't go wrong with a happy hour here. The humus trio is my favorite, and I don't even LOVE beets, but this is one I will eat.

We had my husband's 50 birthday there over the weekend and the staff, food, and service was absolutely incredible! They set everything up beautifully and made every effort to make the night a success! I would recommend this place to everyone!

I stumbled upon this cute little place walking from the comedy club the Punch Line. I was hesitant at first but glad I stopped it. The establishment is clean, cute, and staff is welcoming. I had a mocktail and crème brûlée. Let me tell you the mocktail was delicious they actually have a few on their menu you should try. The dessert was so tasty. I enjoyed it very much. The crème brûlée was creamy, sweet, and had fresh fruit. Go check it out.

Loved the lights, decor, and the vibes! Stopped in quick with a friend for a drink before dinner and a show at the Fillmore. I ordered a Spritz - I think it was called a Rosie's Spritz (or something else that started with an R). It was refreshing and I would definitely order it again!

My friend and I hit up Jerry's Bar because she's heard great things about this restaurant. We went there for brunch on a Saturday afternoon, and sat outdoors. We were bumpin' to the music and enjoying the beautiful weather as we were served espresso martinis and hearty meals. The drinks were nicely crafted with care, and the food is your typical, tasty brunch. Service was nice, and it was overall a great experience.

Came back for brunch and had an okay time. Made reservations, but still had to wait 10-15min to be seated. Our waitress was very friendly, but it took forever to get water and order. We ordered an Irish coffee and espresso martini for drinks. For food, I ordered the spring omelette which was delicious and full of veggies. I loved the side potatoes that came with it. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast Sammie on an everything bagel and it came out using a plain bagel. He strongly disliked his food and said the bagel alone was stale and the filling had no seasoning. I took a few bites and agreed his food was not good. However, mine was on point! Order the omelette but skip the stale bagel sandwich.

Jerry's bar is a cozy neighborhood bar and restaurant. The place has a warm inviting feeling from the moment you walk in. I went the day before the Super Bowl. They had the place wonderfully decked out in Eagles everything! I had a simple eggs, home fries, vegan sausage& toast off the brunch menu. The eggs were cooked exactly to my taste, a nice over medium. The home fries were seasoned well. I was excited to see the option for Vegan sausage on the menu. Which i added to my meal. They also had specialty drinks. I ordered the Eagles mimosa. Everything was great and everyone was friendly.

You'd be unlikely to find this unless you knew to look for it. The main feature of this bar is the cocktail menu; it's creative and ambitious and yet very approachable, with helpful adjectives for each cocktail. The Mango Sticky Rice made my jaw drop; not only did the juicy mango come through, but also somehow a sense of starchiness, while being entirely balanced with the liquor. Definitely some of the best cocktails in Philly. And the music and vibe is so cozy but lively; the live records spinning create a warm atmosphere that is not sleepy nor dancey, instead you'll find yourself tapping your feet and swaying in your seat while in deep conversation or just enjoyable contemplation. Huge bar, giant wall of liquor bottles, dim lighting, and a cool old-school vibe. I told the bartender that ordering a beer in a place like this felt like I was insulting him. He laughed and told me not to worry about it. The drink special was called "Naked and Famous," which honestly sounded like the perfect cocktail to order in honor of Jen. But then I spotted a dark beer on the menu that sounded too good to pass up. If you follow me, you know I'm slowly becoming a dark beer guy. I liked it a lot. The sandwich special was a cheesesteak. Sorry, I should've taken a picture of the menu. But I really enjoyed it, and for $18 it came with a mountain of seasoned fries, which feels like a bargain these days. Bomb Shell: the two people working absolutely crushed it. I don't know if they were understaffed or if Monday night got busier than expected, but they were working their tails off the entire time. I ordered guacamole and chips for appetizers and it came out right away. The chips are fresh and not stale. Good amount of guacamole. Street corn aka elote. The corn is juicy. Unfortunately, it was not enrobed with mayo and cotija cheese as a typical elote should be. Fried plantain: not many slices. They are dry and not sweet . I was hoping for more ripe plantain Birria tacos: small tacos, the consommé lacks of depth of flavor. I could only taste saltines. The waiter asked if I wanted rice and beans. I said only beans. It's basically mashed refried beans. I wasn't aware that it costs extra $4. My husband ordered this dish served in half pineapple. It has chorizo and shrimp. Again , lacking depth of flavor, very salty. Service was great. The staff is friendly. Credit card is accepted but with a fee. There's an ATM if you prefer to pay with cash.

There was a bit of a line outside which moved slowly, but we were given cute champagne jello shot things for our patience which were delightful and a fun little preview of what to expect on the inside. The seating options consist of tables, bar, and what I believe they call "love pods", all of which are beautifully designed. We were seated at the bar, which is our preference anyway. With the help of Yelp, we found this place. First off, the building that houses National Mechanics is absolutely beautiful inside and out, and for good reason. The pub/restaurant occupies the old Mechanics National Bank, a majestic Greek Revival building, built in 1836. Inside the restaurant, the surroundings contrasted greatly with the outside. The large, primarily wooden interior has the feel of a vintage pub. It is equally as beautiful as the front. The service at National Mechanics was great. Though the staff was clearly running shorthanded, every employee we came into contact with served us with a smile and couldn't be friendlier. The food, at least on that day, was mediocre at best, unfortunately. While the menu was filled with all sorts of tempting dishes that already made us thinking of future visits, we opted for the Mexican Burger and the Ribeye Cheesesteak, two twists on old pub standbys. Sadly, we were both disappointed in our meals. We did start off on a bright spot, food-wise. My friend and I opted to share the Batter-Fried Pickled Green Beans, which were fabulous! Too bad the good food ended there... The description of the Mexican Burger sounded amazing, with avocado, pico de gallo, pickled jalapeños, Monterrey Jack cheese, and chipotle mayo. My friend said it was kind of bland and it was quite greasy. My ribeye cheesesteak did not match well with its "Amoroso" roll and the steak itself was dry. In the end, we were both disappointed in our choice in a lunch spot. Perhaps it was the large crowd of diners and little staff that made it all come out a little...off. In the end, I'd try National Mechanics again if I were in the area, as the atmosphere and service made it a cool spot to dine in. Hopefully the food will be better next time.
