Delicious Senior Breakfast! Perfect size for a light eaters.
    Sue B.

We walked to Jerry's from our hotel on a Tuesday morning and arrive shortly after they opened. We were warmly greeted and invited to choose any booth we'd like. Our waters and a coffee arrived quickly. We are excited that they have a seniors plate with one egg, one bacon, one sausage, and one pancake. It is the perfect size! While the coffee was typical dinercoffee, our senior breakfast was delicious! The eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage & bacon had great flavor and the pancakes were very nice! Since we have a long drive ahead, we ordered a club sandwich to go. Rosie package each half carefully in foil for our cooler. She was a sweetheart and said she looked forward to seeing us on our next trip We will definitely be back!

We haven't eaten here in years. We recently relocated to the area and have been passing by and sayn to myself that I need to get in there and see if it's still good. Well this week we have made two visits. I can honestly say it is amazing. I didn't realize it had been 7 years ago that we were here. It hasn't changed from what I can tell. Still has the patio seating and bathrooms are outside the building. The inside isn't anything special. But it's clean and the service is great. The people are friendly. So far I have tried the chorizo scramble breakfast with rice and beans and this morning I had the Mountain Pancakes. It comes with two eggs and sausage and bacon. The pancakes were legit. We will definitely be regulars here. Kudos to the staff for great food and service.

This is supposed to be avocado toast, use your imagination, I guess.

Well, it looks like they have really gone downhill. I ordered avocado toast, and this is what they gave me. Two pieces of bread, not toasted. One has a half of an avocado smeared on it. That's it. No seasoning, no vegetables, nothing. I thought it was a joke. So, we will not be going back. Our little valley lacks good restaurants, here's just another example of subpar food with subpar service.

Sunday morning motorcycle ride, fuel stop in the Minden / Gardnerville area. Let's find a breakfast spot also! 8:30 on a Sunday morning, was definitely busy but I was able to be seated no problem. After searching the menu I determined to get the special as it was not going to be such a huge breakfast sitting in my stomach for what would be another three hours on a motorcycle. Take a look! Was not disappointed at all and $20 out the door price including a generous tip!

We've driven past this place countless times, and finally decided to make a lunch stop. It's got the classic diner vibe and has an extensive menu featuring a variety of Mexican food options. I Opted for the Chilaquiles at $13.95 and my wife ordered the French Dip at $13.75. The food, in general, was enjoyable with no major complaints. However, the portion size left something to be desired - my plate consisted of about a dozen tortilla chips and a mere half-cup of beans, leaving me still hungry after the meal. The French dip, though decent, didn't boast any exceptional qualities. Overall, our experience was okay. In my view, there are better diners in the area. Given all the positive reviews, I would recommend checking this place out on your own and form your own opinion on how this place stacks up. Who knows, this may become your next favorite spot!

Love dining on the patio here. Service is nice and food is delicious ! They have music on Sundays playing on patio.

This is a weekend regular spot for us. I go practically every Sunday and eat outside on the patio and catch the live tunes from those 2 cool dudes! (don't know their band name). I can't believe I never left a review before?! I rotate between the chicken tostada salad which is healthy, tasty and filling! it comes with avocado and sour cream, 2 types of cheeses, shredded chicken etc. Or if i'm not feeling salad, I get the Belgian waffle (and add bananas and strawberries on top!) My husband always gets the Arnold French toast special (which includes 2 sausages, 2 bacon, hashbrowns and eggs.) It's a LOT of food and a great deal. We pretty much order the same thing every time. Usually when i go, I see many people drinking iced tea and it looks refreshing! This place has a slow charm, it's not a quick order and get out type of restaurant. They are short staffed and you can just enjoy the ambience esp the free music on Sundays and catch some sun. Our server is always really nice!

Good food and friendly service. We drove by here all the time and decided to give em a try for breakfast. We were able to get in and get a seat right away friendly ladies were on point with getting us our menu and drinks right away. We ordered omelets and they were full of goodies and nice and hot. Our server kept the coffee full and my hot water for tea. It was a really cold windy day but on nice days they have outside seating as well.

Service was friendly and the food was excellent. The Reuben is a thick hot pastrami on grilled Jewish rye with Swiss, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island. The Tahoe Blue is a hot albacore tuna melt on grilled sourdough with cheddar. Both came with a side as advertised, salad on my plate and fries on my wife's with Ranch dressing to dip the fries in. Portions were generous and the bread is amazing and baked in-house daily. The bakery case is one of many reasons to come back....! Coffee cakes, croissants, cookies, fruit tarts, and packaged loaves were all out and labeled. We bought croissants and cookies to take back to camp and they traveled (and ate) well....! The one real drawback is the building. The bakery and restaurant share a door with C.O.D. Casino next door. When that door opens, cigarette smoke comes into the dining and bakery area. The restroom is also on the casino side. That does not change the quality of the sandwiches or pastry, but it is noticeable and it is worth knowing before you sit down, especially if you are sensitive to smoke or bringing food out for a trip. Note: they do have outdoor seating. We love having this place close to home and will use it again for lunch and bakery takeout for sure! Four stars because the food and service earned five and the smoke and restroom setup cost one.

We always go to Schat in Carson, so when we were in Minden, its branch was our first choice for late lunch. We got what's available without the need for them to prepare, since they are closing. It's always relaxing and the interior is classic. We ate in the park since they are already closing, but that's alright.

The Job's Peak BLT comes on soft sourdough with bacon, avocado, sunflower seeds, garlic aioli, tomato, havarti, and mixed greens. Everything was fresh, the avocado was ripe, the bacon stayed crisp, and the sandwich held up well for take-out. The side salad of mixed greens with strawberries and sunflower seeds was a clean, bright companion. Their iced tea is outstanding; passion-flower flavor and is made consistently well which brings a real highlight with the meal. The service is always amazing here. Abby-Jo and her team are always rock-stars! Solid local lunch that travels well. Will order again along with my other personal favorites like "THE Sandwich", "The Marcello", and the vegetarian "Iron Mike" made in a wrap and served with their Marion Berry dressing. PRO-TIP: their soups are amazing as well! Personal Favorites: 1. THE Sandwich - Grilled sourdough, turkey, havarti, garlic aioli, roasted tomato and yummy caramelized onions. 2. The Marcello - Grilled sourdough with turkey, garlic, aioli, pesto, provolone, roasted tomato, artichoke hearts and caramelized onions. 3. The Iron Mike (vegetarian) - Wheat bread (or wrap), peanut butter, avocado, havarti, cucumber, sunflower seeds, carrot, sprouts, spring mix, red onion, and a splash of our famous Marionberry vinaigrette. Tonight I ordered the pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza and a Chicago dog to-go. The pie was square-cut Chicago-style, with browned cheese, pepperoni, crumbled Italian sausage, and mushrooms. The sausage has the fennel note you expect on a Chicago pie, not bland grocery sausage. The dog was built the right way: Vienna beef, poppy seed bun, yellow mustard, neon relish, onion, tomato wedges, pickle spear, sport pepper, and celery salt. The restaurant still imports the dogs, sausage, Italian beef, relish, giardiniera, buns, and rolls from Chicago, and the mushrooms are imported and blanched. The dining room still has the original family photos and Chicago memorabilia. Ordering is easier than it used to be. They now have online ordering at chicagomikes.pizza, you can create an account, and they deliver. I also witnessed DoorDash there while waiting for my order to be ready; so that's an option now too. If you sign in to the new website, they run a points setup that can turn into discounts or a free side once it adds up. Confirm the current reward on the site when you order, because that part is not spelled out yet on the menu. This is still the Chicago-style stop I use in the Carson Valley: thin square pie and a Chicago dog made perfectly; not a generic pizza chain. They also sell deep dish if that is what you want. Hours are limited (typically closed Monday and Tuesday), so check before you go. Menu: https://chicagomikes.pizza/menu
