I tried this place 3 times, last try just happened, it is the worst Jersey Mikes I have ever tasted. Absolutely nothing worked, a total inedible structural failure (soggy saturated bread with mikes oil that completely destroyed the cuts natural flavors ) add improper preparation, warm lettuce and tomatoes and you get a disastrous version of what a Jersey mikes should be. I tried to get my money back after driving back 5 miles but I did not have my receipt and best I could do after arguing with the "sandwich artisan" was to get an offer for another sandwich. -$21.48 meal. Picked up a phone order from Jersey Mike's Subs for lunchtime. This location is the one next to Costco. Came in and my order was ready. This is the second time I have ever had Jersey Mikes and I have to say I do like a cold sandwich now and then. Since the weather is so hot it actually tastes so good now. I love the California Turkey which comes with avocado, turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, and just overall very clean and refreshing tasting. Also, get the parmesan-style bread it is a game changer. You know the thing I always hear about this chain is that they have great food but it's pricey. Well I agree about the food, taste, quality...and maybe I give thought to the price at times. But, when you got to have a sub...there is no substitute for Jersey Mikes. The sodas are always fresh. The chips are my favorite and I have at least 3 top subs that I typically rotate. The service is always fast, professional and friendly. After Costco, we come in here for a quick order to go and the enjoyment after putting all those Kirkland items away makes it easier. We placed our order quickly, but the food took a long time to come out. I asked for a side of sauce, and the employee asked if I needed a lid. I said no, but he never gave me the sauce. After waiting about four minutes, I decided to sit down since two other customers had come in. Once he finished helping them, I expected at least some acknowledgment or for him to bring the sauce, but he completely ignored me. I had never tried Jersey Mike's in my life until this location opened up near us. My fiancé and I usually go to the Claro's Italian Deli but we were short on time and needed a big sandwich for our 12 hour British horror movie marathon. I heard on the radio that Jersey Mike's was rated like the 5th best fast food restaurant, so we decided to try it out. It was one of the best decisions we ever made! Now we go there pretty often to get delicious, fresh sandwiches. I usually get turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, pepperoncinis and pickles. When I'm feeling bold I get turkey and pepperoni mikes way, which means it gets vinegar, oil, oregano, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. What I love most about this particular location is the customer service. They are always so friendly, welcoming, and always look like they want to help customers. That goes a LOOONG way in the current fast food/chain restaurant industry. Most places, the workers look bored and uninterested and like they don't want to be there and the service and food suffer for it, but definitely not at Jersey Mike's. They go above and beyond to be kind and friendly, which is why we will always go back to them and also leave generous tips because they deserve it. read more

The employees are very nice. All the staff is always friendly and ensure your order is perfect: The owner is very bad at handling the convenience of the clients and employees inside the restaurant. He has the AC blocked (controlled) so the employees cannot control the temperature and if they change it to a lower temperature he puts it back to high. I'm not sure if he is trying to save energy or what but is definitely not the way to maintain your customers or employees happy. As soon as you walked in you can feel the heat inside and poor staff is trying to take your order the best that they can because they looked visible uncomfortable in the heat inside the store. This place is definitely going to loose customers if this continues and not to say employees as those are not the right conditions to maintain your employees. read more

Newly opened Jersey Mike's, opened last month. You can find this place inside the same plaza as Costco and Starbucks. This place took over the Jimmy John's location. I came by this location with my husband last Friday night, around 7:45 pm. I was greeted by friendly employees behind the counter. After looking over the menu boards, I ended up getting: #7 Regular Size, Turkey and Provolone, $9.45 prior to tax- I ordered this with lettuce and tomatoes and omitted onions and anything spicy (I am not a big fan of spicy foods). I also omitted the oil and vinegar since I was not planning on eating my sandwich that night. I actually ate half of my sandwich the next day and then the other half the day after that (my sandwich was cut in half without me having to ask, which is nice). The sandwich was delicious and I enjoyed eating it at work over 2 days. #13 Regular Size, The Original Italian, $9.45 prior to tax- I ordered this sandwich for my mom (which was also cut in half without being asked when it was made). Like my sandwich, I had only lettuce and tomatoes were added to her sandwich. My mom enjoyed her sandwich and like me, she also ate this over 2 days at work. Chocolate Chip Cookie- This was free with Yelp check in which was pretty cool. The cookie was standard but a nice little sweet treat. ------------------------ (Total= $20.84 after tax) Service was very friendly, genuinely friendly. Went here last Sunday after having a horrendous stomach bug for almost 48 hours. A sammy from here is the first thing my husband and I had eaten in days post-illness, so man did our sammies hit the spot! While the price of the subs here is higher than other sub sammy places, the quality is also higher IMO. The regular size sub filled up my husband and I with an entire half left/each so one regular sammy/each = 2 meals/each. Broken down that way, the price is actually not bad. Make sure you allow the employees to do it the Jersey Mike's way with the oil and seasoning because that really adds a lot of flavor! I wish I'd caught this girl's name - whoever waited on me last Sunday 1/8 was such a doll. A little customer service goes a long way these days during this recession when spending money out and about doing anything seems hard. She made such a great effort to strike up conversation and be overly friendly while she was making the sammies. Didn't catch her name, but she had the most insane blue eyes. I went the other day for two sandwiches and there was hardly any meat and cheese on them. The meat and cheese was sliced so thin you could see through the cheese, she was putting little slivers of cheese on my sandwiches. Worse than that was she was chewing gum while slicing and was rude. Had not been to this location (Azusa,CA) in years due to poor service, and the fact that it was so hot in there with the afternoon sun blasting through the windows. (This could have been the reason for the poor service at the time. It was like working outside in 90+ weather. ) Fast forward to now, I decided to give it another shot and was glad I did. Great service and a great original Italian sub! I like the way the fixings are sliced with just the right thickness, and the bread is soft. The crew that was working when I came in were busy during the lunch rush, but were on top of things AND friendly. I will be back. I gave this store a try when they first opened. First visit was horrible. One of the line workers poured mayo from the huge commerical jar into the service area and drooled into the container. I immediately cancelled my order. I figured they might have matured their service, so gave them another try. It was again a horrible experience. Line workers were flustered, I get it, I cannot do their job but if they can't keep it professional, step outside to get some air or have another worker back you up. Always a fan of #13 Mike's way. My 3 year old loves it with pickles. Easily a 4 star review every day but todays review was warranted by 5 star service from my man Dae. I came in greeted by the staff. As I approached the counter Dae greeted again with a big welcoming smile. I misordered a regular when I really needed a giant. The bread was already cut and meat ready, but then happily switched me to a giant. (Sorry and thanks!) Sat down with my son. We ate for maybe 20 minutes, when Dae sat near us during his break, he dropped off a free cookie for my son. When I was prompting my son to say Thanks, Dae asked if he liked M&M or chocolate chip and proceeded to go back and swap cookies. Well done Dae. My son had the biggest smile. Food 4/5. Always solid. I always have a great experience when dining with Jersey Mike's, but this locations customer service is bar none. As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted by a smiling staff member. They are quick and efficient when making sandwiches and even able to take multiple orders at once. The restaurant is clean and the music is great! The staff is genuine and while I was eating in the dining room, I could tell they care about their community and look out for others. If they sold hot tea in the middle of July I would still come back just for the customer service. Thank you for being a fine establishment and outstanding members of the community! The cross contamination here is outrageous. I specified I needed gloves changed before veggies were put on my sandwich since I have health situations that require I not have deli meat. The employee begrudgingly changed the gloves and started my sandwich. He then immediately asked the person behind me what veggies he wanted before my sandwich was finished and touched meat again before coming back to my sandwich. My husband had to intervene and tell him to change his gloves again. Luckily it won't be the end of the world for me, it might just make me ill but had this been related to a severe allergy he could have killed someone.
