1 Star Just because It Only Takes 1 Person to Ruin the Experience: My wife and I visited the Jersey Mike's Subs in Benbrook tonight, Tuesday, February 3rd, around 8:30 PM. We're both in the service industry, so we're very mindful about going into places close to closing time. This location closes at 9:00 PM, and we even paused before walking in, debating whether it was fair to the staff. Ultimately, we decided it was still within business hours and went in. There were two gentlemen working who were polite, professional, and welcoming. They took our order without any attitude and started preparing our food right away. Honestly, their service was exactly what you'd hope for--calm, respectful, and professional. Credit where credit is due. Unfortunately, the experience was completely overshadowed by the behavior of another employee. A young woman who was mopping the floor visibly changed her expression when she saw us come in, clearly annoyed that customers had walked in before closing. She then went into the restroom. When she came back out, she immediately jumped into food prep--handling sandwich paper and bread without gloves after being in the restroom and touching her hair and hat. My wife politely asked her to change gloves due to basic food safety and hygiene. While she complied, her body language and attitude made it very clear she was unhappy about being asked to follow basic sanitation standards. No customer should feel uncomfortable for expecting safe food handling. We considered asking for the sandwich to be remade or walking out altogether, but given the time and the situation, we decided to let it go and not escalate it in the moment. That said, after we paid and got into our car parked directly in front of the store, we could see the same employee in the back area visibly upset and reacting dramatically, while the two gentlemen were laughing with her. Let me be clear: we fully understand how exhausting service industry work can be. We've both lived it. We know what it feels like when you're close to closing and just want to go home. But that never excuses poor hygiene practices, unprofessional behavior, or making customers feel like an inconvenience for simply walking in during posted business hours. There are no "nasty places"--only nasty attitudes that make places feel unwelcoming. Employees like this don't just affect one interaction; they drive customers away entirely. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we won't be returning. This location has potential, and the two gentlemen working tonight represented the brand well. Management should seriously address the attitude and food safety standards of the other employee, because one bad interaction can undo the effort of the entire team. read more

"Subs are here!" This store is crafting great, solid subs. The servers are polite and build your sub with care. The ambiance is like every JM's but with a bit more outdoor seating. Ordered: The Veggie The Philly Cheesesteak The ingredients and bread were fresh. The lettuce was close to turning, so I'd recommend just watching that. Ordered the chicken salad sandwich. The description states chicken salad, lettuce, tomato and mayo, but they loaded it with vinegar and oil. Did not improve the sandwich, in fact, made is a messy blob. Stick with the menu. read more

The service was TOP notch. Food, so great! I got the rightfully famous Cheesesteak and it did NOT disappoint! Perfectly grilled veggies and the meat was so tender! You could eat it with a spoon! My dad got the Italian "Mike's way". We basically didn't talk for 15 minutes. It was that scrumptious! I highly recommend this location. The employees go above and beyond even when they are super busy and in the weeds they keep their composure and don't seem stressed. (That means a lot coming from a person that's been in the service industry) I wish I had a pic, but we devoured it! read more

We came to this location for the first time today, I drive by twice a day but because of other mishaps at a different location with not being capable of accommodating a gluten allergy we haven't risked it. For some reason we gave it a shot. Walked in and they were busy. But the staff was chipper and personable and the line was moving quickly. We asked about the accommodations make for people with celiac. They have a separate sliced, condiment area and change their glove for this. We were amazed. All sandwiches were made with fresh bread and they didn't hold out on the topping like other locations. The staff were friendly, each person asked how our day was and we had small with each. They move quickly but we didn't feel rushed at all. The bathrooms and dining area were clean. We will be back! read more

So I was craving a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and needed to go somewhere close by on my lunch break. I got to this location around 11:15AM and placed my order, a 56. I know that the hot sandwiches take a little longer than the cold ones so I didn't mind waiting a little longer for it. It wasn't until I started noticing people that came in after me getting their hot sandwiches and leaving (I could see them cooking the other guests sandwiches and giving it to them). At this point the place was starting to get busier so I went up to the counter. made direct eye contact with a couple workers and they asked if I was getting a to-go order, the same ones that took my order in the first place. I said no, I'm waiting on my order that I had placed 15-20 min ago. Long story short, I finely got my sandwich (without any apology or anything) and got into my car at 11:54AM. I already love this place but tn it was the best I've ever had! The 3 men working made the best sandwichs and were very nice.

The best Jersey Mike's! Stopped in here today around 12:30p and the manager was so friendly and this restaurant SUPER clean! Under the drink machine was even clean! This manager and staff are doing a fantastic job! read more

Went to Jersey Mikes today, not the best experience. Put waaay to much oil when ordered Mike's way that the bread was falling apart and soggy, had a coupon for a free sandwich...for two sandwiches with just one meal it was almost $17 ( so for 1 sandwich and a meal) I asked the cashier and she kept arguing with me saying that was correct. I didn't understand why 1 meal is that much...also the drink machine was messed up just a bunch of carbonated water. Very sad since I was so excited to have this business local. read more

Since they are only about a week old at this location im not gonna judge too harshly in hopes they will get better with time, The customer service was good no complaints there, could tell they were new but that is expected, but I did have a few quality control complaints...1) Ive eaten many times at JM in other locations and the bread at this location seemed very thin and fragile after cutting I bet the bottom bread was only about a 1/4 inch thick and top wasnt much thicker...could have been a bad batch or just the pieces we got IDK not usually like that at other spots.....2) the entire tub of pre cooked bacon looked awful, dry, burnt and old....and after 1 bite of my club sandwich I can confirm that it was in fact dry, burnt and old.... ..3) and this was my biggest issue but easily fixed, after slicing our bread and placing meat and cheese on one half they laid the paper with my order written on it on the other piece of bread and pushed it to the next person, so here on the work station lay 5 sandwiches all with pieces of paper laying on the bread....probably not that big of a deal, but to me it just seemed gross....daughter liked hers, wife tried the philly and didnt care for the cheese, I had the club and was OK except for the bacon and they went a little heavy on the oregano seasoning.....more or less normal consistancy issues like most fast food places, however, I had a coupon for a free sandwich but paid $29 for a regular size and a giant, no drinks, no chips....for that kind of $ for a sandwich I expect better quality.....will I go back?...absolutely as I like the JM brand, I just hope they get a few things ironed out pretty quick read more
