Great customer service, I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it was great! Food is very fresh, much better than subway. Can be pricey though

Very warm & welcoming staff, went the extra mile when preparing my gluten free sub, cleaned the entire prep area, new utensils the whole nine. I always have great customer service and wonderful food when I come to this specific location! The sandwiches have a really good meat to veggie ratio. I get the #8 (Club Sub, Mike's Way with pickles). They have me hooked! Better than Subway. Hands down. I was in the food service for 2 years, so I guess you would say I have a strong idea of how I would want to be treated and served in a restaurant. I like to point out everything that I have a problem with. Including freshness, environment and the interaction process. I go into this location about 2-3 times a month. Every time - wonderful. The establishment is very clean. The workers always friendly and fast. Prices, very fair! They slice the meat right in front of you! Non of this frozen pre-sliced grossness... My friend took me to this sandwich shop for dinner one night. The sandwiches are alright but their certainly not something I would rate 5 stars. I am taking off 2 stars for unprofessionalism from one of the women working there. I had ordered their special BLT with Avocado. They didn't have enough bacon which was fine and I ended up waiting a bit to get the sandwich and paid the cashier. My sandwich came out with no avocado and when I inquired I was told I never ordered it. When I said I ordered it, she proceeded to argue with me and said no one told her at the register so I wasn't getting it. The guy I ordered the sandwich from and told her what to ring me up for retreated into the back and didn't say anything while the woman proceeded to rant at me. At this point I was frustrated enough that I just took the sandwich as is and ate it. The next group of people that came in got into an argument with the same woman over a bag of chips. Continuously arguing with your customers is not professional and I will not be back. I would have gladly paid the difference had it not been for this behavior. Also pro tip, unless you like a soggy sandwich, ask for light oil and vinegar,otherwise they use literally half the bottle. read more

Man, this Jersey Mike's Subs is one of the best one I've been too. If you've never had a Sub from Jersey Mike's, do yourself a favor, and check it out. I went to Jersey Mikes for the first time today, and I have to say I was extremely disappointed. While the service was relatively fast, I was thoroughly unimpressed by my food. I ordered a Chicken Caesar Wrap (I know, not a traditional sandwich) and it was downright gross. What made it gross was the cheap "chicken" they put in it. Let me start off by saying I love jersey mike's. I have been a fan since I first tried it a few years ago in New Jersey. I have been to countless locations and never had a problem, until now. Every single time I have been to the Chico location I have specified how I want my sub and it always seems to be wrong when I get home and open it. It's disappointing that such a great franchise can have such terrible service at a location like this one. The guy that works in there (in his 40's) is absolutely rude. I have been in there before and a nice (possibly homeless) man came in asking for water, that guy (the employee) refused to give the poor man water. The man got angry and said f**k you, and the employee had the audacity to say it right back to him. This is definitely not the type of environment I would subject my family to, let alone subject myself to. The service is horrible and that employee who displays such lack of heart and uses profanity in front of customers should not have a job. I would recommend jersey mikes to anyone, it's a great sub shop however the Chico location seems to be lacking the positive energy that I have experienced at every other location I have been to(nationwide). First time here and I won't be back. I ordered a roast beef sandwich, among others, and if I closed my eyes, I could swear it was a tuna sandwich. That is not right. How can roast beef taste EXACTLY like tuna? I returned the sandwich later and they gave me a refund and said that some one probably cut the beef with a knife used for tuna. I don't know about that explanation, I make tuna all the time and never use a sharp carving knife for it. Anyway...Only 3 choices of bread, no sourdough? While I was in line, 3 other people asked for sourdough, maybe take a hint. Only three choices of cheese, not even cheddar? Not impressed with the quality of the sandwiches overall. You would think that based on the really high prices, you would get a substantial amount of meat and cheese. However, the meat and cheese are sliced so thinly that you can literally see through it, or it becomes part of the bread, which means you can't even taste it. Not to mention you barely get any meat or cheese at all as a result of how thin the slices are. What makes up the bulk of the sandwiches are the piles and piles of veggies they put on. I like pepperonchinis, but I don't need three handfuls on a single sandwich. I don't get lettuce, but I saw them put it on someone else's sandwich, and there was so much, that it looked like a pile of lettuce with a piece of bread poking out. The employees are friendly, but I expect way more quality when I pay almost $10 for a fresh-made sandwich that is literally half the size of a foot long sandwich at Subway. read more
