First time here. Just went in , ordered a to go sandwich. Chose the #56 which is called big kahuna cheese steak. I got it because in saw it has mushrooms which I love. Didn't like that it has jalapeños because I don't eat spicy food because I'm breastfeeding my baby. Told the girl who took my order that i didn't want jalapeños & light on the onions. My sandwich had so much onions & jalapeños. I spent almost $10 on this sandwich & I didn't enjoy it. Had to try to pick out onions & jalapeños, & the sandwich was dry. Bad experience read more

Not too bad of a sandwich. Horribly overpriced for what they are though. Meats and cheeses are tasty and bread is good. The people who work here are friendly but they slop the sandwiches together like an assembly line and drench them in mayo. Wish they had a little more selection for veggies like some cucumber, etc. But I guess in sticking to the class New Jersey chain, what you see is what you get. I've been a few times and their best sandwich is definitely the Big Kahuna. It's basically a Philly cheesesteak with extra melty cheese, mushrooms and jalapenos... yes, it's pretty spicy but very tasty. Their chicken parm is pretty disappointing. The meat is dry and firm, the breading is soggy from soaking up the marinara and cheese; pass on this and get the Big Kahuna instead. Unless you don't mind standing in line for 15-25 minutes, DO NOT COME around noon without ordering ahead. The wait for lunch is stupid long, and you're better off going to Which Wich to save time. But after 1:30 or so the line is quite a bit shorter and manageable. read more

Love the food, never an issue in taste, But this location can not get a pick up order over the phone correct if it were to save their lives. First time I called and ordered, got there in 19 mins Food wasn't ready, I understood it's lunch rush I get it. Then 20 mins later I'm still waiting, no one has even come back at me with an update. I'm irritated, this is wasting my whole lunch break. Finally I get my food and they explain someone took my order by mistake. Technically not your fault. Then I order again over the phone, get 2 regular philly cheese. Guy repeats order to me, says 15 mins. I get there, staff all mean the best and aren't rude about anything ever, but she hands me ONE sub. I tell her I rested TWO. She goes back and brings out a guy, he tells me he's gonna work on it right now. Again, there waiting. I go to Chase, right next door, real quick and leave the one sandwich they were giving me, there at the counter. I haven't paid yet so I'm not going to walk out with it. Come back, 2nd sandwich is ready, guy tells new cashier woman that I already have one so I just need this one. I then have to explain I left it at the counter, informed the original cashier I was leaving it there, made sure there was eye contact and she heard me. So again, they're trying to leave me with ONE sandwich. 30mins has already passed.. still have to get back to the office, there goes lunch. Like I said, good tastes great, people there seem like they're genuinely trying to help, but maybe they're in over their heads at this location and it's rush. Well, here I am a day later at a different location! So you know we love the BIG KAHANA #55 with extra meat but make it chicken then add Chipotle Sauce...now that a Sub for your a$$. Pretty darn pricey about 19 and change each, but trust it's worth every penny. Either share or eat on it for a couple days! It warms up well in micro 2 mins. Or toaster oven!!! I work in the area. Have gone 3 times. 2 out of the three they got the order wrong. I the first time I ordered the cheese steak. When I picked up the wrapped sandwich at the counter I was shocked at how light it was. The bread weighed more than the meat. It was so light that at that price I felt seriously ripped off. It is best to order online and pick it up so you don't have to deal wit the long wait. The line can wrap around the entire store AND out to the parking lot. The Cashier was pleasant even during hectic and LOAD lunch hour. I have had other Jersey Mike's subs at other locations in two different states and while this location seemed ok but I prefer other locations better. Ok. Prefer Big Mike's or Rinaldi's any time. After 3 trips (when the other two are closed or less convenient) I've always found the bread to be a bit rubbery when 'fresh' and soggy to the point of inedible if you wait more than an hour to eat it. Eating here made me feel like the old Wendy's ad. My sandwich came on a bun. A very big fluffy bun. Where's the meat? I got the Italian as did several people near me. The staff immediately started slicing wafer thin meat and placing it on several huge buns. Then they applied olive oil and vinegar from two feet up. Oooh, dramatic! I thought perhaps I was getting two of those, but nope, I received what was essentially a small. With chips and a drink it was over nine dollars. I went outside to eat and it was as I thought. The meat looked like it was filling, but it was mainly air. I paid nine bucks for a few slices of deli meats, cheap iced tea and generic bag chips. If I wanted a decent sized sandwich it would have been over twelve dollars. No thanks. I can dramatically pour seasoning from several feet up at my own house for next to nothing. For this price you're better off at the Habit, Five Guys, Chili Verde, pretty much anywhere else. My coworkers will go if they have a coupon, but not otherwise. And now I know why. read more

This is mostly a review of Jersey Mike's Subs franchise rather than this specific location but I'll comment on that as well. I eat here a lot. I eat here so much I could probably work here. In fact, I just finished eating one of their subs. I've avoided writing this review because with these chain locations, it's hard to review one without reviewing the entire franchise at the same time. Jersey Mike's Subs really knows indulgence. Everything they make is delicious and almost all of it is fattening. It's well established that you can't have both healthy and delicious food. If you think you have both, you're probably fooling yourself. Their cookies are moist, soft, and delicious. Their sandwiches and characteristic "Mike's Way" style give them a leg up on other franchise shops like Subway. They do it well. When I eat out, I don't eat healthy, I want delicious and Jersey Mike's Subs helps me fulfill that goal. As for the specific location: it's well run. Is it better than other locations? I think it's up there with the best but they're largely confined by their franchise rules. The service has always been good except on rare occasions. The location next to a Ralphs and near the airport is convenient. The place is clean. I've met the manager. He seems hard working and like he cares about good customer experience. It's hard to find anything negative to say about this specific location. -1 star for being reasonable but not outstanding value (more of a franchise wide issue than a location issue). However, I could see someone giving it 5 stars. In the end, the fact that I eat here a lot says it all. read more

I would have written this review for the new Lake Elsinore store, however it's not yet on Yelp. I first experienced these wonderful sandwiches at this location near LAX with a line out the door. I come to find that lines like this are at nearly all their locations including the new Lake Elsinore, CA location. Great staff! With Mike's Way, the food prep will shower your sandwich with red wine vinegar and oil. It looks intense, but it turns out to be awesome though this is not a sandwich you want to finish the next day. All I have to say is I love it that they opened one near where I live! Yum! Price went up. Pricey already. 5 stars went to 4. read more

I've been going to Jersey Mikes for years...actually way before they ever opened in Cali and first ones I went to were in New Jersey so was excited when they started popping up all over LA. I've been to a handful all over the place and have only ordered the Italian which is best "Mikes Way" and peppers for me. This location in El Segundo in particular has an awesome and friendly staff and the manager Danny is super cool and knows great customer service. I have come here a couple of times now and wanted to write a review. Initially my review was going to be a positive one but after this last experience I feel like the staff that works there needs to pay more attention to the sandwiches they make. I ordered the Original Italian Sandwich which I think is 100% delicious in each and every way. All the ingredients compliment one another. But in this most recent visit I was given my sandwich on BURNT bread. I didn't notice until I got home as I waited by the register for my order since I used their phone app. The perfect taste and balance was ruined when I tasted it because it tasted like the delicious sandwich I know on burnt bread. I don't understand why they wouldn't of thrown it out and made more. I have also visited the Rosecrans location and have never had any problems. Unless I am in a pinch I think I will make the longer drive to insure quality. read more

This was by far the worse experience with Jersey Mikes! Normally they are consistent and overall are great. Employees were chit chatting in BOH and only 2 employees were up front. One of the girls was new and the other employee told her she didn't know what she was doing and took off several pieces of turkey from the sandwich after it was made. I felt bad for the poor girl. We live closer to the rosecrans location but got tired of the slow employees that are completely unorganized. They either give no meat or drown it with oil . We decided to try this location and We were greeted with a smile and the employees were super friendly. What a difference . Our sandwich was made correctly and tasted great.
