This review is about the customer service my boyfriend and I received today around 1800/1830. There was a gentleman with reddish locs that took our order. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day but it surely reflected in his service. He pretty much was throwing the meat he shaved on the bread. Not just that when the cashier was trying to get clarity from my boyfriend about our order he talked over him with an attitude. We all have bad days however when in a customer/food service position you have to maintain courtesy and keep whatever you have going on covered. The cashier and the gentleman that put the dressings on our sandwiches were awesome however because of our initial encounter with who took our order, he didn't leave a tip. read more

Food handling was bad. When I asked the girl making the sandwich to remove a little of the mayo she scraped it off with her fingers, wiped her fingers on the edge of the bin where scraps are, then scraped the mayo off the bread again a couple more times with the same fingers. When I brought it to her attention that this was not sanitary she said it's fine, she uses her hands/fingers. She offered to remake the sandwich and I asked if she would just get a new top piece of bread. She then proceeded to do the exact same thing using her fingers to spread the mayo. I have never seen anyone spread condiments on a sandwich with their fingers, touching all the other surfaces with those same fingers.. pretty gross.. she was completely dismissive again when I brought it to her attention.. doubt I will return to this location. read more

The team is is so wonderful, I came in right at 10am and ordered 15 sandwiches. They were so accommodating and still managed to process the customers that came in after me. They even brought the 15 boxes out to my car. So sweet. read more

When I entered this Jersey Mike's, I wasn't expecting anything special, but they proved me wrong. The workers were very friendly and made me feel comfortable talking. They worked very quick and efficiently. As they were working, I noticed the environment was clean soothing. This place is unequivocally the worst branch I've ever been to. The employees were extremely rude and I had to tell the employee multiple times before they got my order right. They were very discriminatory as they paid no respect to me and instead the person next to me in line. They even skipped me at the cashier even though I was ahead in line of the customer behind me. If you're ever looking for Jersey Mike's, I'd highly suggest another branch. This branch is full of highly uneducated employees with poor training with absolutely no minimal manners at the least. 5 employees. 5. And not a single one could acknowledge that I had even walked into the store. No welcome be right with you. No high give us a minute. Nothing. Stood there for 10 min without any one of the employees coming over to take my order or to even to apologize about not coming sooner. Was not busy. More expensive than subway but worth it. Had the Philly cheesesteak, the big one, took me at least 20 minutes to shovel it down. The bread was fresh and the cheesesteak was cooked on the grill not just stuffed into a toaster. No crowd. Best I've had on the west coast by far. read more

On my way home from an evening ice hockey clinic in El Segundo and was in need of some quick nourishment. Jersey Mike's was up the street and on my way home. Parking wasn't that bad. Closer to the Ralph's supermarket is when parking gets worse. I was greeted when I entered. Only a couple of people were in front of me. Decided to change it up and try the #18 Chicken Parm (melted provolone, tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese) with a bag of Lays BBQ potato chips. It was recommended I get the combo since it would save me a little money. I also finally signed up for the Mike's Club so you get points that earn you free stuff and food discounts. The sandwich was nice and hot (temperature). It was a pretty darn good chicken parm sandwich. A good balance of cheese to meat to tomato sauce ratio. And a big laugh at the guy in front of me who cried & called me a "f*cker" because I ordered the chicken parm he wanted instead of his meatball sandwich. read more

***I am not a big fan of chain fast food restaurants, but the Italian sandwich at Jersey's Mikes is surprisingly good (some of their sandwiches though are mediocre); with this sandwich, you get a variety of meats and unlike a lot of fast food sandwich shops, there is a noticeable distinction in the flavor and texture of each meat; Jersey's Mikes is also not stingy with the meat, which you will find at Subway as well as some of the other big name sandwich shops; prices are high, but a little goes a long way here and a "mini" is more than enough for one person; service was quick and very friendly*** This Jersey Mike's is located in a small shopping plaza with a Ralphs and a Starbucks. These businesses share a free parking lot and it is easy finding an open space. read more

Great little sandwich place walking distance from my office for lunch. I've come a long way since my Subway and Togo's sandwich days because I prefer this chain sandwich shop now and see them popping up everywhere. Although the lines can go out the door, I'm willing to wait for one of two sandwiches that are my usual... the hot roast beef provolone or the turkey provolone-- Mike's Way (with Onions, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Vinegar, Oil and Spices). For this particular location, I am always greeted with friendly, enthusiastic, energetic and smiling worker bees. They seem to have a good team effort-conveyor belt- kind of system and keep the area where they build your sandwiches as uncluttered and as neat as possible. They slice the meats fresh, right in front of you. They work as quickly and as efficiently as they can during the busy lunch rush and I am always pleased that they make my sandwich just the way I like it. I'm pretty picky and always give them somewhat difficult instructions such as "easy meat, no tomatoes, not too much lettuce, light on the vinegar and oil, make sure they cook my roast beef so there is no pink etc... and they comply with a smile every time. PARKING: Can get tough during the lunch rush between 11:30am - 1:30pm as it shares a parking lot with Ralphs, Starbucks and Chase Bank. Tried it for the first time last week and decided on their Pastrami Sandwich. First, the staff was super nice, friendly and warm. You get the feeling they like working here. The sandwich was quite good. Their ad reads, "Fresh Sliced," which it certainly was; full of piping hot pastrami, very lean and tender and juicy, with sauerkraut and their sauce. Oh, and the bread was soft, airy and warm. One thing.....I did not notice a condiment bar (e.g. mustard, peppers, etc.), so unless I just missed it, that'd be a good idea. Price: Not bad...Subway is cheaper and they give you more, but Jersey Mike's is a different kind of sub and it's worth it. read more

I did have my reservations about Jersey Mike's prior to 30 minutes ago. Pretty much I've seen them more than I heard about them. This all changed during a "what am I going to eat for lunch" huddle at work. I contemplated Subway, Chipotle, and the usual hot spots and she recommended Jersey Mike's! I was quite surprised. I had the #10 tuna sandwich which was rich in flavor and very tasty. Subway is usually my go to spot for tuna sandwiches, but this was a real man's sandwich. It was dripping with oil, vinegar, and red wine and very well seasoned! It was about 8.75 with tip. I must be honest...there seemed to be a lot of staff walking back in forth in the back of the counter. I'm sure they had things they were working on...but it just looks bad when there are a lot of people waiting. I will be back! :) read more

Jersey Mike's is the Crown Royal to Subway's Evan Williams, the Testarossa to Subway's Jetta. Jersey Mikes slices paper thin meats and cheeses for each sandwich, and their bread is fluffy and delicious. I got a turkey and cheese "Mike's Way" (except for the raw onions), and couldn't have been happier with my decision. It just didn't taste mass produced, and Mike's really loads up the veggies for you. The oil and vinegar combo is killer, too. It's going to be hard to eat Subway from now on... read more

Ordered a #13 (Italian) for the wife LIGHT oil and vinegar. And a chipotle steak with a side of the hot red peppers for me. When I got home NO side of the hot red peppers.... OK I can live with that. my wife's #13 HAD THE HOT RED PEPPERS on it, which I didn't order. and she doesn't like. Nice girls working there but they screwed up the order again. I'm a Manager at a major aerospace co. and , from my experience with Managing people I feel they have a problem at this location. Lack of training or just not paying attention to the order. Doubt I'll go here again, I don't feel I have to watch the person making the order to make sure its right. read more

Go there for the bread. Pick whatever you want between the top and bottom (they have both hot and cold fillings), but it's all about that tasty bread. It only comes in two types: white and whole wheat. It doesn't look like anything special, but boy, does it taste good. No-frills, high-energy deli, menu hanging from the ceiling above the counter. While waiting in line decide how you want it ("Mike's Way?" Extra lettuce? No tomato? Add pepperoncinis? No onion?) When you order, be ready to answer or you will slow down the line. I'm a pretty loyal customer to say the least to this Franchise. Out of all the Jersey Mikes I've visited, El Segundo JM is by far the most decorated/ professional / awesome team I've come across. WHAT A CREW. Super personable attitudes from this location is one of many reasons why I believe they have dominated their outdated competitors- Subway. Also the reason why me and my expensive friends will continue to make it rain on this restaurant due to the outstanding customer service we receive. First of all! I must point out a few stars at this location that have seriously shined brighter than baby oil on Tyrese's forehead. Veronica- she might be the next best thing known to me since man invented Hot pockets. Seriously this girl might be able to cure cancer with that smile alone:) awesome attention to detail and she's fun sized yayy. Phillip- this guy is something else. He takes personality to another level completely. Knows exactly what it means to make any customer laugh and open up. Great dude but even better stories. izzy- haha.. The end. I wish I could write a really awesome review. They got knocked off on points because of the inconvenience I had last night. I called in advance to order a sandwich for my boyfriend because we both wanted to eat at different places. So i thought I would call in this order so that it would be ready and I could just come in, pick it up and be right out, but this was not the case. When I went in to pick up my order, the staff seemed to be confused and did not know what happened to my order. One of the guys recognized my order and said, "we accidently gave it away". How does one accidently give away an order with your name on it? Anyways, he asked if I wanted him to make another one, I didn't have much of a choice, as this is what my guy wanted to eat. So I left and went to pick up my other order (which was not close by either, btw). Upon coming back to pick up my order, the guy tried to make it up by giving me a free sandwich that they had already made. I know that mistakes happen and it's just pure human error, but seriously, it was really inconvenient and put me out of my way. I was never really a fan of jersey mikes to begin with, but I will definitely not be returning to this location. First time here. Just went in , ordered a to go sandwich. Chose the #56 which is called big kahuna cheese steak. I got it because in saw it has mushrooms which I love. Didn't like that it has jalapeños because I don't eat spicy food because I'm breastfeeding my baby. Told the girl who took my order that i didn't want jalapeños & light on the onions. My sandwich had so much onions & jalapeños. I spent almost $10 on this sandwich & I didn't enjoy it. Had to try to pick out onions & jalapeños, & the sandwich was dry. Bad experience read more

Not too bad of a sandwich. Horribly overpriced for what they are though. Meats and cheeses are tasty and bread is good. The people who work here are friendly but they slop the sandwiches together like an assembly line and drench them in mayo. Wish they had a little more selection for veggies like some cucumber, etc. But I guess in sticking to the class New Jersey chain, what you see is what you get. I think the made to order sandwiches at the deli in the nearby Ralphs are much better. read more

I visited this Jersey Mike's location on one occasion and was very satisfied. The service was quick and friendly. The interior of the restaurant is very clean. A bonus is that there is an outside patio area that is shared w/ the starbucks next door which allows for outside dining when the weather permits. I had the Mike's original which was very tasty. Thank you, Jersey Mike's for opening near my new work! Thanks also for the great opening week deals, for which we were more than willing to look over the "growing pains" of a new location. The first week or so we made great use of the half off everything by sampling hot subs, cold subs, and cleaning out the tray of Tasty Kakes. Also got Laker Girl autographs for our coworkers. As the opening hype died down, we have now been able to get our food without pre-ordering. I have been a fan of Jersey Mike's for a while and am glad there is a location convenient enough for a working lunch. read more

New location that opened up where the robek's juice used to be. This is good because hopefully it will alleviate the lunch time rush on the rosecrans location. I went a couple weeks after it opened and arrived at 11:30am on a Wednesday. The line was already out the door. They even have a manager who is out in the line pre-triaging orders and even w/ that, it's crazy. Food wise, the big plus of this place is that they slice your meat and cheese to order. It's not pre-sliced and sitting out like other sandwich places. Pro-tips: -Ask to add their "spicy" relish to your cold sandwiches. They also have pepperocinis/banana peppers on request. -If you do "Mike's way" ask for easy on the oil especially if you're ordering to go cuz otherwise you'll get home/back to work w/ a mess of soggy bread. read more

Love the food, never an issue in taste, But this location can not get a pick up order over the phone correct if it were to save their lives. First time I called and ordered, got there in 19 mins Food wasn't ready, I understood it's lunch rush I get it. Then 20 mins later I'm still waiting, no one has even come back at me with an update. I'm irritated, this is wasting my whole lunch break. Finally I get my food and they explain someone took my order by mistake. Technically not your fault. Then I order again over the phone, get 2 regular philly cheese. Guy repeats order to me, says 15 mins. I get there, staff all mean the best and aren't rude about anything ever, but she hands me ONE sub. I tell her I rested TWO. She goes back and brings out a guy, he tells me he's gonna work on it right now. Again, there waiting. I go to Chase, right next door, real quick and leave the one sandwich they were giving me, there at the counter. I haven't paid yet so I'm not going to walk out with it. Come back, 2nd sandwich is ready, guy tells new cashier woman that I already have one so I just need this one. I then have to explain I left it at the counter, informed the original cashier I was leaving it there, made sure there was eye contact and she heard me. So again, they're trying to leave me with ONE sandwich. 30mins has already passed.. still have to get back to the office, there goes lunch. Like I said, good tastes great, people there seem like they're genuinely trying to help, but maybe they're in over their heads at this location and it's rush.
