Ask for Elijah, and I'm not related to him in any way. He just makes my sandwiches better than anyone else at that location. the sandwiches are really good to begin with however I've noticed since I started going to their stores they have noticeably become skimpier when it comes to meat and tomatoes. With tax and tip I'm spending about $15 just for my sandwich and at that price i believe there should be A LOT OF BEEF! I eat at JM's 1-3 times a week most of the time in the South Bay (El Segundo, Redondo, Hawthorne (? on Rosecrans/405 fwy), and Torrance. I'm told they are all the same owner), but elsewhere too. So I'm a loyal customer just wanting them to continue to be the best rather than going down hill. read more

Nothing against this specific location. The people there were great. I got the buffalo chicken wrap to go. Got to my destination, took two bites and into the rash it went. It was just a mess of terrible taste and the chicken texture was like rubber. I have eaten at Jerseys Mikes once before in Huntington Beach and the pastrami with thousand island was terrible too. Had to scoop off the sauce just at to choke it down. This place is terrible. My grandmother is rom NY, 100% Italian; my mom is a great Italian cook. The stuff they are pushing is slop. This is the sandwich place to go especially during lunch time when time does not permit to have a nice sit down lunch. Every sandwich I've had has been very tasteful and all ingredients have been fresh. You can call in ahead and place an order which is always a plus. Customer service has always been great. Good food. Nice people. Waited over fifteen minutes to orders, though. They were too busy with their online orders to help their in person guests right away, and the gentleman who put the mayo on the bread did so as if he were Monet painting water lilies. This place is my "default" when I can't make it out to other places. It's convenient as it is within walking distance from work. For months now service is going downhill .... for some reason this national chain went with a typical California layout for the floor-plan ... (a closet that serves food). Get there at 9:30AM if you want to be able not only sit down and enjoy your lunch, but to also avoid rubbing shoulders with others and placing your order outside. I might be one of the few that does NOT take their order "Mike's Way" ... this is because I don't like eating a soggy (70% vinegar) sandwich which dissolves by the time I reach my car. Anyways the last few times my sammich was pushed onto the next server in line and massaged in oil & vinegar .... I never said I wanted it Mike's Way .... and if you try to undo whats done you either hold up the whole line (approx. 100+) OR they question your taste buds and tell you that you are wrong. For the record, there are two rules in the food industry: 1) Don't mess with the people that touch your food. 2) When a customer makes a complaint (whether right or wrong) you apologize and fix their order. read more

Dropped in today for my usual sub from this place . I notice a different staff and unfortunately I'm going to have to say the quality service dropped from high standards it once held . The young lady who took my order had a demanding tone without a friendly face. After I told her I wanted a giant 9 on the grill she repeated my order to me and completely ignored it . She then placed the wrong order size on the grill . After bringing up the error to the young man up next to assist me he then placed the other half of my order on the grill . After my subs were ready he asked how did I want it. I told him Mike's way with no tomato. He then proceeded to talk and laugh with his coworkers and then placed tomatoes on my sub . After addressing him 3 times he finally stopped joking with his Coworkers, apologized and corrected it . The amount of time in line increased a noticeable amount as well. This review is only for this location all other locations I've been too always have the great service Jersey Mike's is known for . I recommend to managment more training for new staff to get the quality of service back up to where it was once held . read more

The sandwich was fine, what I would expect from Jersey Mike's. What was not fine was the service. I was there during lunch, walked up to a line of 6-7 people, and waited. And waited. Why is the guy busy making sandwiches but no one is ordering? They are making sandwiches for phone and internet orders while there is 6-7 people standing there?? Well, this was my first time and will possibly be the last. I looked at the menu and just basically asked for one of their cold subs by name and noticed that it doesn't list anything but the meats and cheese which is fine but did not appreciate the arrogant employee rolling his eyes when I had no idea what mikes way of toppings were since it was my first time there. I just asked for certain toppings and the lettuce was just so packed on. They have their own language there cause when I got to the cashier she asked me if that was a number 2 and all I knew was the name of the sub not the number. I work down the street, so I walk down this way for lunch pretty often. The employees are genuine and friendly, and they're always happy to work with special requests. I like getting the grilled veggies, but on sandwich bread, and today even with things a little busy Nati (I think - hard to hear when he told me) went the extra mile and asked if I'd like to try mushrooms and some other additions, and when all was said and done I had one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten, all grilled and cheesy and fantastic. read more

I'll start by saying the sandwich, once I got it, was good. And while I realize that going to Jersey Mike's is probably going to mean I wait a bit longer than other places, this was shocking. The confusion of the workers in sorting out who would do what, the endless clarifications (do you want the bacon on your turkey and bacon sandwich?) was dumbfounding. Slowest experience I've ever had waiting for a sandwich. It took them 4-5 minutes to sort out who would do what on an order of about 8 sandwiches. At least 10 people behind us left to go somewhere else as they didn't even start making our sandwiches until all of them were ordered...and then the delays mentioned above. I was part of a large group of which 8 of us went to Jersey Mike's and the other 18 went to the Hawaiian BBQ place across the street. They were finishing their food as we arrived back at the bus with our sandwiches. ‍‍‍ Manager seriously needs to sort out their processes. read more

We have been here twice so far. My kids really like it. I like that they slice the meat in front of you. Everything tasted great. The kids meals come with a small sandwich, a drink and a cookie, which is perfect for 2 younger ones. My teenager likes the meatball sub and I get the philly cheesesteak. This sandwich shop is my absolute favorite!!! The food is always yummy and fresh. The chocolate chip cookies are to die for. I especially like the el segundo store, it's the cleanest environment, even the bathrooms shine. I look forward to seeing the the workers. Where to start. Took about 30 minutes for a group of 6 to get cold sub sandwiches (after we ordered). Employees looked completely lost. Jersey mikes is typically on the slower side of things for groups but this was a whole other level. Employees cut all the bread, had it sitting out for several minutes while talking about the bread, then started doing all the meats and cheeses for all 6 sandwiches at the same time. They did all the toppings at the same time, asked 1 person if everyone was doing the same toppings, or if they were getting stuff that was included on the sandwich.... were going to wait until all the sandwiches were made until wrapping them up. My order was basically wrong, asked for light onion and heavy peppers on the cheese steak, got the complete opposite (heavy onion and light peppers). Spoke to the manager afterward and she basically said "what do you want me to do about it". FIX IT FOR THE FUTURE!! I thought all Jersey Mikes were created equally but in fact, they are not. It was at this location I had Jersey Mikes for the first time, and was the only location I ate at for a year and a half until I moved to Orange. Expecting the same enthusiastic, friendly workers and tasty sandwiches, drenched in oil and vinegar and seasoning, I went to my new local location aaaand to my dismay... those workers sucked and so did their sandwiches. I gave them 3 tries thinking in was an anomaly and it sucked every time! My wife agrees. The sandwiches are not made nearly as good and they are not welcoming like the workers in El Segundo. After this I had a new appreciation for this location. read more

I would have given this place 4 stars because the sandwich sand service is always good, but the parking here is terrible. Drove around looking for a spot for 10 minutes and when I finally found a spot I wasn't able to get out of that spot for 5 minutes.
