Great spot for lunch!... Much better than Subway & healthier that the fast food joints. The fact that they slice the meat in front of you makes it fresh. I usually get #56 steak&cheese or #9 roast beef/turkey & bacon. And always finish with "Mike's Way!" Sports fans... They always have ESPN on their TV's. And their staff is always smiling & give good customer service. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is sometimes they slice really thin & don't give as much meat or cheese like they use too. Jersey Mikes is the only chain whose cold cut sandwiches I actually like. All the meet is cut fresh right in front of you, the veggies are fresh, the bread is good, and they have variety. Also the people here don't have that drab "I don't want to be here" look on their face. Rather they are friendly and have personalities. The only complaint I have is the price. For their largest sub it ends up being 10-11 bucks, and it barely fills me up. But it's still a better deal than most sandwich shops. read more

I love me some steak and cheese and Italian subs. Of all the places in the area, Jersey Mikes gets it right for me! When you walk in you are greeted by energetic staff that act like they really love their job. Although I think management trains them to act that way, it's really a good thing! Makes your experience better. Only someone like the Soup Nazi can act mean cuz the soup is so good it doesn't matter. It's located right next to Not Your Average Joes. It's clean, they cut the meat there and everything at least seems fresh. I usually order the Big Kahuna - steak and cheese with grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapenos and extra cheese. I'm salivating right now just typing the description. Bread is awesome but the taste is phenomenal. Also my other go-to is the Italian done Mikes way with some of their red vinegar and oregano which I love. Those two sandwiches are so good that I have not tried anything else, I start to order something else but then just give in and do one of my regulars. Now I don't even know why someone would open a Subway, or a Jerry's, unless they just didn't know about or couldn't get a franchise license for Jersey Mike's. 5 out of 5 coworkers agree, this place makes all other sub shops irrelevant, and this location in particular seems well managed. To be sure, this is still a "sub shop". You go in, you stand in line, you order what you want, they assemble it right there but it is one step above the Subways: the meat and cheese gets sliced fresh and there's a grill where things like cheesesteak gets cooked up fresh. No sad cheesesteak grilled who-knows-when sitting around in heated buckets. Subway does have more topping choices but everything Mike's has is superior, hot and cold. Their hot subs in particular are way above Subway quality. This has become our new default option that everyone can actually agree on. read more

Jersey Mike's has the best roast beef subs around. The regular 6 mike's way is my go-to sub here. Their roast beef is not over done like most places I've had - just perfect. I've also had their meatball, steak and cheese, turkey which are all good subs when done Mike's way. You'll never want to eat at Subway again. Normally theres not a very long line because they move it very quickly. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had Coke products instead of Pepsi. read more

I had went to this sub shop a couple days ago and it was the best extended meat stick I have ever had in my existence. The way that the workers handle the meats, cut the meats for my elongated sandwich was unmatched by any other elongated sandwich maker in the DMV. I wish all the meat I have had was this good. After the worker was done handling my meats he moved my elongated bread with meat stuffed to the brim to the vegetable section. I asked the man making my sandwich to make it mikes way. The man making my sandwich proceeded to dowse my sandwich stuffed with meat in oils. He was finally done with my oily meat. He wrapped that shit up so nice and tight. I took my extended meat stick with bread home and began to slobber all over it. It was the best combination of oil and meat that has ever had the privilege of touching my mouth. I don't know what happened to this place, we have been ordering subs here for a few years. Normally we get at least 2 or three subs when we order, sometimes we get as many as 6. We are done with this poor excuse for a sub place. Poor business, poor subs. Lettuce is brown, have no idea what meat is on the subs. If I could give this pace no stars I would gladly do it. Ordered online about 15 min before I arrived. I thought I might have to wait a few to get the order, no biggie. However, when I arrived I was told that they had nothing for me. They hadn't bother to check the incoming orders because the were prepping to close. It was over a hour before the store was to close. The manager asked me to have a seat and they would bring it to me. Another 10-15 mins go by and the manager calls to her staff and asks if they gave me my order. They said no, pulled it off the shelf where it was sitting and handed it to me with a grunt. No I'm sorry or any other form is an apology. Poor customer service. read more

As a chain, the food at Jersey Mike's is pretty consistent. Like I mention in my Jersey Mike's Germantown review, the chicken cheese steak is the actual bomb. So yummy. However, the service at this location SUCKS. They are painfully slow and I'd rather drive to Germantown than waste my time at this location, even if I'm already in this shopping center for something else. Seriously, if there are more than 5 people in line, you'll be waiting at least 1/2 an hour. read more

2.5 stars. I'm a roast beef sandwich fiend and unfortunately, the one from jersey Mike's was very disappointing. The meat was dry, the cheese was so thin, I couldn't taste it. At least the fresh bread was tasty. The Italian my brother got was a little better, but again... Microscopic cheese slices was disappointing. I do like that they slice meat and cheese fresh. Jersey Mike's is the best sub in the whole country. That is for their cold subs. I love the fresh cut meat. The bread is also awesome. I have only tried their hot subs once and it was a dissapointment. That being said, for cold subs they rock. They also are at the best price and I like the three size option. One other thing that is a minor annoyance is the way they wrap the subs up. The extra twist bugs me. read more

Fantastic quality and service. Freshly sliced, high quality deli on fresh rolls, are you kidding me? The kids working there are polite and clean cut and have you out the door in a flash. What Blimpies used to be and what Subway hopes to be. Totally incredible sandwich, worthy of a great tailgate, quick lunch, or hungry crowd. The sandwiches I ordered (turkey/provo and Italian) were both gigantic, had the perfect seasoning, and delicious meats and cheeses. I'm very impressed with how quickly they handled the dense crowd in there; with a line to the door I was maybe there 10 minutes. I had stopped eating subs for awhile since I've been in the DC area. It just was not worth it, but then I found Jersey Mike's. They really load up on the toppings especially the shredded lettuce, but the end product tastes great. This location can be hit or miss in terms of speed, but there is usually plenty of seating. read more

I generally don't like to review chains, but this was a first time visit, so why not? The place was packed on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, and given the length of the queue, the service relatively quick and courteous. I'm not sure what a "Northeast" sub is supposed to be, but after all my years living in New England, I'm not sure if this should be different or the same. To me, this place reminded me of another chain, Firehouse Subs, but with their own spin on sub construction/design - "Northeast" style(?) . Meat and cheese are sliced to order. With three sizes of subs, I'm guessing 4-, 6- and footlong, I needed the footlong to feel sated. In doing so, this puts the price per person over the $10 limit for cheap. Throw in a soda and chips and you're closer to $15. The best part of the meal was the sub prepared "Mike's Way," which is a must for the cold subs. Part of the allure of "Mike's Way" is their generous dousing of red wine vinegar and olive oil, and a "secret" blend of herbs to go along with "standard" lettuce, tomatoes and onions. The one thing I would have liked to have known is where the deli meat and cheeses were sourced. But, given the line at the store, I'm sure that wasn't top of mind for everyone there! On this visit, we did see the manager(?) come around and ask if things were ok...at a fast food place. Nice job! read more

First time at Jersey Mikes. The subs were really good, but the customer service was terrible and the ice machine was broken. We were not warned ahead of time that the ice machine was broken, but we were assured that the soda was cold. It wasn't cold. Some of the workers were friendly and nice but the line cook was in a superior rush to take my order and reminded me of the Soup Nazi. I will definitely go back to Jersey Mikes but I will never go back to the one in Kentlands. By the way did I mention it's Christmas Eve? Where's the holiday spirit? This place is a solid sub shop. They have a lot of menu items and choice of toppings without you feeling overwhelmed. Although the way subs are prepared seem a little questionable. Everything is done on a countertop without any paper below your sub. Knives are consistently reused and but in between cracks on the countertop and the refrigerator that keeps the meats cold (seems like prime mold area). Extremely easy for toppings to mix in with one another so be vigilant if you are allergic to any of the choices. With that said, I've never gotten sick from the cold subs but have twice from the hot subs. Seems as if the grill isn't probably cleaned in between orders. The service is okay. Although there have been times when I've waited ten minutes at the ordering station while five employees were talking to one another in the back. read more

This place had a lot of hype and I had heard there were huge lines. I went during lunchtime during the week and the line wasn't bad at all. As for the food, it's a bit pricey for what you get.
