Clean, quiet, and recently renovated! Usually with the drive-through, you will need to wait. They do have self serve kiosks inside & a children's play area. My brother says the play area smells but I can't imagine they make the employees crawl through there with disinfectant and I imagine it's "play at your own risk" lol... Food is usually pretty hot and consistent & as far as McDonald's go, I cannot complain. If you go inside, there is tons of beeping noises. What happened?! I love my McD fries but it's not worth the frustration. I placed a mobile order for drive through pick up and was happy the drive through line wasn't long. I drove up to the drive through line and waited and waited and waited... no communication. No response to my "hello.. is anyone there?" I said this more than once and finally asked. If someone could just answer of the intercom was working. Meanwhile the other drive thru line seemed fine. 3 cars went through on that lane. I couldn't back out because there was a car behind me. Finally someone comes on. No apology or acknowledgment on the delay. Forget that... plenty of other fast food in the area. Looks like this isn't a one-off either. Others have had the same experience. Management... take note and train the staff! At least acknowledge customer you're short staffed! I completely understand when some establishments are shortstaffed, especially in this day and age when it's hard to find good people to work however fast food should not mean 55 minutes in said establishment plus the servers were moving so slowly and there was no one at the drive-through at all. Now I'm not used to getting McDonald's alot but after what I saw I'm never coming. The inside was absolutely disgusting the floor was all fallen tissues, fries, and receipts. The service was ok not so bad but ok, the only thing that made it worse was when they served us the food with no tray! And the table was already dirty so we had nothing sanitary, I ordered a big Mac with large fries and a large sprite. The Big Mac was all sauce and it was all lettuce all over the box and the burger was literally falling apart from my hands, I literally had to put tissues on my hands to not get my hands drowning in the sauce and don't get me started on the fries the fries were drier the the Sahara dessert I couldn't see even a peck of salt on those fries once I put the food in my mouth I was immediately turning sick by the second it was so nasty. My partner likes to drink at least one diet Coke from McDonald's daily. We visit many locations depending on where our travels take us and may visit multiple locations in a day if we're out and about for long. Needless to say, we go to Mcdonald's a lot. This location is usually hit or miss as far as soda quality. I'm not sure how this can be seeing that this is a popular location. Sometimes the lines go by quickly (I prefer mornings) but during lunch the wait time is incredible. I have learned to skip this location and drive further out to another location to get faster service. This problem may be more of a staffing issue than anything else. Without a doubt I love McDonald's the food is usually very good at the Glastonbury store. As we all know all of the fast food restaurants dangle their respected discounted meals and special deals offering savings to get you to spend your hard earned money with them hopefully getting the best bang for your buck . However I will spend my money where I believe the best values are available. Today McDonald's in Glastonbury fell short of a true value and customers expectations. The issue we had was ordering a medium meal Big Mac, medium fries,med coke 4 pc chicken nuggets. When we brought the order home the fries weren't even 1/2 way full looking more like a small fry in a medium container. So I figured the fries were at the bottom of the bag but no they were not and nobody tapped the fries. Things happen no need to get upset so we brought the entire order back but only wanted a full size container of fries like I had purchased thousands of times over the years. However the replacement fries were not much better. A medium container of fries still looking under sized for the size of the container. So if you want to keep me coming back fill up the container so the volume matches the container. Guess what? I am willing to pay more for a meal that is actually eye appealing. If that doesn't work get rid of the medium container that doesn't get filled instead of stealing from the customer. The measurement device used to dole out the fries has either been changed or the staff is purposely not fully filling the container like they used to. In either case a respected world wide chain like McDonald's spends millions on advertising to get my business but after having to go back to the Glastonbury McDonald's twice complete failure. Please shave your operating cost off somewhere else not your loyal customer. Of course when I got home the rest of my meal Big Mac and 4 pc chicken nuggets was stone cold. My caregiver dropped the meal off I am disabled so I couldn't use the microwave to warm my meal total waste of money. As much as I love McDonald's in Glastonbury the $200.00 a month that we spend on average at McDonald's in Glastonbury has lost our business for a while. I agree with many of the other reviews regarding the drive thru. It was 2 AM and there was a huge line of at least 12 cars. We thought perhaps there had been an event or something and everyone just had the same thought so we pulled into the line. Huge mistake. It took us 30 minutes to drive up to put our order in and then another 30 minutes for us to get our food. They had 2 order lanes but they were both being worked by a single person who would forget to alternate lanes because we were skipped twice contributing to the extended wait time. From there it was just waiting to move. It was terrible. Due to the design of the drive thru, once your vehicle is in line you are stuck. We wanted to leave before we ordered, but to the right of the drive thru is a curb, wooden fence, and slope down to another parking area. You cannot pull out of line and get around until you round the bend and pull up to the food window anyway. I felt super bad for the small staff they had on. They were nice but seemed very overwhelmed. When we got to the window they asked what our order was seemingly because they had no idea who was pulling up to the window. They grabbed our stuff as quickly as they could. We did end up with one drink that was incorrect. We were just happy to be out of the line though. A full hour wait at 2:00 AM! From past reviews, it appears to be a common issue, however, it is also getting worse. read more

We got a happy meal and two Fish filets we usually don't get the fish filet because it is so small even though it's good. today we took a chance and got the fish filets and they ended up being bigger and hot the fry's were hot too the food was so delicious and we ate it all I recommend. read more

I was in the drive through at around 6:50 PM on Saturday, May 25th. I did not get through until 7:45 PM and there were about 5 cars in front of me. I don't understand what took nearly an hour for 5 cars before me to be served. It's as if the people working were just bumming around doing nothing!!! My cheeseburger bun was also rock hard. The fries were decent though. Lastly my soda was SO watered down, probably from sitting by the drive through window for nearly an hour. McDonalds isn't my go to place for my meals so why do I rate this McDonald's so great? I have come here every morning for the last 2 years. It is close to my job and I have never had a poor experience at this location during the morning visits. The morning staff are extremely pleasant and friendly. They truly care for more then getting their time low. The staff are always smiling as they interact with guests and greet everyone. The location has significantly upgraded its location! People may wonder why minimum wage folks get so much heat especially when their wages have gone up but when you can't microwave heat a burger, i say management better start hiring folks worthy of those wages. McDonald's hasn't always been the most favorite from people. And they're absolutely right. First, do NOT believe the displays of the types of food. My burger was more soggy and squished compared to the one on the images. But the taste was alright. But regardless of the food and their average service for my experience, they do NOT clean anything. Floors, tables, bathrooms, all dirty and stained. Summary, This location is a perfect example for a grab and go if your passing through or in a hurry. We asked what breakfast sandwiches they had and the staff rudely responded "It is lunchtime". Very shortly, no other conversation as we spoke to them. So, we drove over to the Dunkin' Donuts and had a completely different experience with very pleasant staff. So, long story short, there are many different options than going to the McDonalds in Glastonbury. The absolute worst McDonalds I have ever visited. Their milkshake machine has been broken for over 3 months now. Whenever I have gone there for drive-thru I have to wait after paying for my order to be delivered even though I never order anything unusual.
