I'm a huge fan of Jersey Mike's and my previous review of the Commack location can attest to that. That being said, I've already had two experiences with this location that I will report on. The first, being on opening day. I went in expecting the place to be rocking and rolling, and even though it was a bit after the lunch hour, the place was packed. However, regardless of that, the line moved quickly, I got great service, and was out the door in about 10 minutes. Food was delicious and there was no mistaking that Jersey's Mike's taste and quality. So, fast forward a few days, I had to work over the weekend with a large crew of folks. I was excited to share great food with my crew. On Saturday, I collected orders from around 10 people, got the telephone number for this location and called to place a phone order, since online ordering is not active for this location yet. So when the phone was answered, I said I have a fairly large order to make and I wanted to come pick it up within the hour. However, the employee said that they could not take a phone order and that I needed to come into the store. Knowing that the place was probably busy from foot traffic on the first Saturday that they were open, there was no way that I was going to come in and make an order for 10 people, then wait. That is what calling ahead is for. I asked if I could speak to a manager, but the employee told me the manager was indisposed, and he probably was with it being so busy. In hindsight, I probably should have called back and asked for the manager by name, but I had 10 hungry employees that I needed to feed. Unfortunately for this location, I had to take my business to the Commack location, where they gladly accepted my online order and had my order ready inside of 25 minutes. I had to drive a little further for the pickup, but the sad part is that I would have rather given the newer location, that is closer to my work and to my home, the business. However, they didn't seem to want it. I understand that with being a new location, they are probably just getting their sea legs and online or phone ordering is probably not a priority or for whatever reason, not available, but it's worth mentioning that this was my experience and it was upsetting. Hopefully this gets rectified soon. I still highly recommend Jersey Mike's, but until online / phone ordering is in place at this location, you have come to the store, wait in line, and make your order. Until then, if I have a larger order, unless I hear otherwise, regarding online or phone ordering, I'm still going to get it from the Commack location. read more

Overall I like the product. The day I went they looked stressed and understaffed. I think it was tuesday Sept 18th. Flet bad for the three of them as the line was out the door. They probably needed 5 to serve he guests properly. The way the line forms is super tight. Either way great product and solid location to do business. read more

I have now been 4-5 times since it opened...sandwiches are the best!!! The only thing they did wrong is the place is too darn small. It should have been at least as large as the Five Guys across the street. When I ate lunch there Friday, no less than 10-12 people walked in, saw the long line and no open seating, and walked out. All in 10 minutes. They should have taken the open unit that was available on the other side of the Dollar Store. If I was management, or an investor, I'd realize soon that small thinking of the small space will inhibit growth and profits and lose customers. read more

Visited here in October while staying at a nearby hotel for a wedding. The customer service was horrible. The staff were unable to communicate with each other and their frustration was obvious via the multiple eye rolls at one another. The person making my sandwich made it completely wrong twice and had to throw the first two attempts out. Eventually the person working the register moved him to another task that was non customer facing. I also find it odd they only have one type of cheese. Once made correctly the sub was average at best. Two stars because they gave my daughter free chips to apologize for how long it took to make our subs. read more

This place is fantastic. The sandwiches are HUGE and packed with so many meats and flavors. You can customize any sandwich exactly how you like it as well. The staff is nice and really helpful. I watched one employee make my food and seriously it was impressive how fast and neat he made my sandwich. The seating is nice and the interior is always clean. I love this place and will keep coming back! read more

Having tried the other Long Island location I must say I am a little disappointed with this one. The turkey provolone sub I had was not as fresh as the one I had in Commack. The bread was very dry as well. I'm giving this location 2 stars because it's still a tad better than Subways. I will come back again to see if I will modify it to 4-5 stars like the one in Commack. Perhaps it was because it was a slow Thursday therefore the food was not so fresh??? read more

Awful customer service!!! Business overcharged my credit card and refused to do anything about it. Went there for lunch earlier in day, later in day realized I was charged wrong amount. Not only did the pathetic excuse of a manager I spoke to refuse to acknowledge that he was in fact the manager and kept giving me the run around, but treated me like I was trying to scam his business over 10 bucks. Kept asking question after question, only to tell me there's "nothing I can do you have to call back and speak to Juan." So I call back the next day ask for Juan and I'm told he didn't come in (clearly it's a fictional person) and asks again what the issue is. Same guy-Vito- I told him we spoke last night you asked me to call back. Guy tells me "well without a receipt there's nothing I can do" and hangs up on me. Anyone with half a brain who relies on repeat business would realize it's not worth losing a customer over 10 bucks but I can assure you I will NEVER step foot into that place again, even though I work 5 mins away read more

Place isn't bad but TWICE I've gotten handed the wrong sub. I'll take my lunch back to the office and when I get there and open it up, it will be someone else's sub which is very annoying. Like I said this has happened twice over the past two months which is making me not want to come to Jersey Mike's. read more

This is my first review but i felt like i had to because of the great experience. It was my first time ever at this establishment and the staff was very helpful teaching me how the menu worked even while i caused a like and didn't rush me at all. the food was very high quality and all the employees were very respectful and helpful read more

Tried it for the first time today. Sub was really tasty and filling. Had the turkey and provolone and it was solid. The Mike's way is definitely the way to go for the dressing and veggies. The customer service was really good and I will come back. read more

Get the Italian #13 "mikes way" + mayo! Really good quality sandwich. The hot subs are not as good from what I've tried yet, the cold subs are made with a lot of layers. Stick to the coldcuts as they give a lot of food! The giant size is like 20 inches - crazy. I split this and still don't finish. read more

So normally don't comment, but this time.......I spent $60 on 4 subs (ridiculous, I know) they completely got the online order wrong, leaving what I was allergic to on the sandwich! First, after emailing not only the store, but the Mike's company email, my complaint went totally ignored!! I'm in the retail business and know lack of customer concern makes for a terrible business. They are lucky the sandwich wasnt bitten into and a lawsuit didnt follow had something happened! Second, $60?? I have not eaten the sub yet but I will rate as of right now on the service. Honestly will not come back. 2 subs and 2 bottle drinks took 25 minutes to get and rung up at $46.69. What?!?!? My mistake $30.47 after I gave them the look of death. Very small and unorganized. I like the sandwiches here. Good breads and good cold cuts guarantee a decent sandwich. The prices are a bit high, but thats ok. The store is tiny and can be very crowded at times. Dont plan to eat in. The kids working here are friendly and attentive. Just keep your eye on the toppings as your sandwich is prepared. The quantity is not consistent at all. I truly find this place to be rude and unprofessional. I have never been to a Jersey Mike's Subs before so I needed time to order. I then asked if I can make my own where the young boy behind the counter sighed and said I guess. So I have a simple "turkey, ham, roast beef and American cheese sandwich." And he goes oh okay like an American and laughed like I was an idiot. So I go and pay only to realize you need to tell them also when initially ordering if you want lettuce etc. I have never been to this place how am I suppose to know. I thought it was a place like Subway where you tell them and go down the line making it. So I then had to go back and say "sorry I've never been here before can I have lettuce, onions and mayo." The boy and the girl on cashier looked annoyed and said sure. I then sat there for 10 minutes waiting for my COLD cut sandwich. Then to top my experience I ordered a combo, so it was a drink and chips. NEVER GOT MY CHIPS. Safe to say I am never coming back to this place. Incompetent work ethic is shown here. read more

This is more for experience because the food is pretty good. I'm writing this as I stand in the store waiting for my food. We tried placing an order online and it kept not going through. Then they wouldn't let you order for sat only Sunday. So multiple calls to the store were made no answer. We eventually get to the store three boys are work clearly trying to close up an hour early. We did an experiment and called the store while in It. The first time they didn't answer or acknowledge the phone. We had to repeat the order. We call again the guy sweeping picks up the phone looks at puts it down and continues sweeping. Call again everyone ignores. We're the only ones in the store so it's not busy and there was no one in here when we came in. I call one last time and the kid at the grill ask the kid "in charge" grab it and he says no finish what your doing. You're going to lose a lot of business if you ignore your customers multiple times. And just as I'm finishing a fourth employee comes out from the back, I feel as though it makes it worse. And just cause I'm curious I ask "for future if you call to place an order after a certain time does phone order shut off" the response? "It depends cause we're usually cleaning try calling earlier. 1. The first phone calls came in before 730 when we tried online. 2.
