I'm not sure how to review this business, so I'll just start from the beginning of my experience. My nephew asked for Jersey Mike's for lunch today. I used Yelp to find my way around. The JM website allows for online ordering. Choose & customize sandwiches, and pay using a credit card. I was also allowed to create an account for future ordering ease. A+ Upon entering the business, I spied the "phone/online order pick up" sign. My order was bagged up and waiting for me. A+ Once home, my sandwich was nicely wrapped in a bag with a number on it, which coincided with the menu item #. A+ I unwrapped the sandwich and was slightly taken aback by how hard the top of the bun was. It sounded like I was knocking on the door when I tapped on it with my finger. The other side of the bun was the complete opposite; it was so mushy! All the oil & red wine vinegar and seasonings seemed to have been put on that side. Not pleased at all. D- The taste of the sandwich (turkey provolone, #7 on the menu) was wonderful. The Italian seasoning & red wine vinegar gave a seemingly normal turkey & cheese sandwich that something special. The temperature of the sandwich was cold, like it should be. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. A+ The portion size (regular size) is very generous. I only ate half of a regular sandwich, and was ultimately satisfied. A In observing the surroundings, this location has several table outside, so their sandwiches can be enjoyed, right then and there. I have been to this location a few times. Went in with my sister and ordered 2 sandwiches. The door was wide open, and flies were inside the condiment bar. The whole sandwich-making area was filthy dirty I told the guy making the sandwiches my concern, to no comment! I asked another guy if he was the manager. I told him my concern that the place was filthy. He said he was not the manager; he was there to help out. He, at that point, walked over and pointed at all the filth on the counters, telling the guy to clean up. The sandwich maker had gloves on, yet was working the cash machine and would go back to making the sandwiches without changing to new gloves. 5 people were working at the time. Ordered by phone, and received wonderful customer service. The male associate repeated my order, and my order was perfect. I appreciate Jersey Mike's offering the BOGO free coupon. It's been awhile since I stopped by the Kahala location, and am glad I did. I will be back. Thank you for packing the veggies on the side so nicely for the second sandwich which we will eat later. I don't own a car, and I wasn't about to pay the ridiculous amount of $6.99 for delivery. However, during this COVID-19 lockdown, they've waived the fee if your order was over $15. This was easy to do because regular sandwiches are $11 - $12. "Regular " is the smallest size they have, and it's a 6 inch sub. (There's also Giant, which I assume is a 12 inch sub.) What is different, though, is they use about twice the amount of fillings as other places. They don't skimp on the meat. So ultimately I felt the cost was appropriate. At another place you'd have to order double meat so the price would pretty much be the same. I ordered the #20 BBQ beef, the #19 Grilled Pastrami Reuben, and the #17 Mike's Famous Philly. They have cold sandwiches, too, but I didn't try any of those. You get to choose between white, wheat, and rosemary parmesan. Gluten free us available, and there's something called "Tub," which I figured out was a bowl, so you can skip the bread. Nice to have these choices. You can customize by leaving stuff off or adding things, but there aren't near as many options as other sandwich places. I chose wheat. The rolls were soft and fresh. The wheat wasn't totally ground down, so there was a little texture, and I could convince myself I was getting a little fiber. The BBQ beef was disappointing, flavor-wise. The sandwich was loaded with beef, but really nothing else. Once in awhile there was a tiny bit of onion, the taste of which was completely obliterated by the mild BBQ sauce. No cheese, no nothing to complement the beef. To be fair, it was true to the description. There were options for extra meat, bacon, cheese, or avocado, but I didn't select any of them. I couldn't bring myself to pay an additional $2 - $2.90 for each topping. The Pastrami Reuben was lopsided. One end was nearly all sauerkraut, while the other end was nearly all meat. I started at the sauerkraut end and didn't realize there was an imbalance until it was too late. I can't really tell you if I liked it because of the improper distribution. It was not due to the delivery process. Sandwiches are tightly rolled in paper and then places in paper sleeves. They can't move in there. Oh, if you get more than one sandwich, you'll need to know the number of the sandwich (it's written on the paper sleeve), or you'll have to open them up. My favorite of the three was the cheesesteak. Finally, well-distributed meat and cheese and toppings. It was flavorful. If I ever chose this place again (which is unlikely), I would likely get this. There are drinks and sides, but IMHO they were expensive. This was good to try once, but that's it for me. Oh, while I don't know the nutrition info, based on how much my right ankle swelled each day after eating these, my guess is they are very high in sodium. Don't like having to write bad reviews, but felt compelled to. Service isn't great, I get if they're busy but a simple acknowledgment and saying "we'll be right with you" etc would help just so we know we're standing in the right place to order eventually. They also got our order wrong, gave us a Big Kahuna Cheesesteak when we wanted a Portabella Chicken Cheesesteak. The worst part was that there were bits of paper that I chewed on and spit out from the Cheesesteak. I'm guessing it was from the paper used to hold/package the meat before cooking. I don't know. I know this is a chain sandwich shop but honestly it's pretty good. I've only had it a handful of times but their consistency is on point. Ingredients are always fresh and I like that they use a vinaigrette for their lettuce. It gives the sandwich a fresh pop of flavor. I haven't physically gone to a Jersey mikes in a while but someone got me take out from this location the last couple of times I had it so I am reviewing it. Need to start with a full disclosure. I'm not a bit fan of sandwiches. I'd rather have something with or over rice then between pieces of bread. That being said, Jersey Mike's is a really good place to pick up a hot sandwich made real fresh and full of flavor. Love the fact they grill the filling on a flattop grill so you get those chars and cooked tidbits for a little more flavor. "Cooking" in a microwave makes it hot but doesn't give it more flavor. Love the Ease of Ordering online and pick up off the shelves. Felt like grabbing your luggage at the airport. When you see yours, take yours. Done. Only down side is their sandwiches are a little more price wise vs other mainland sandwich chains and a little shorter. You won't get a foot long here. Lastly, my favorite sandwich, the Big Kahuna. Little spicy, hot and fresh, meat, veggies and cheese with a chipotle mayo. read more

I've visited several Jersey Mike locations on island, but I frequent this location so much, it's a wonder they don't know my name already. I love getting my sandwiches from here. I always get the Mike's Famous Philly Cheese steak with all its cheesy goodness and an ice cold Raspberry tea to wash it down with. If I come for the sandwich, I most certainly stay for the customer service. The guys at this location are all super nice and accommodating. I've never had a bad customer service experience at any of any Jersey Mike's location. Compared to Subway, they are little bit on the pricier side for a sandwich, but I think it is better in terms of the quality. If I have a choice between Jersey Mike's and Subway, 9/10 I'm going to pick Mike's. The only downside to this location is the parking can get kind of wacky during lunch time (which is usually when I go) and you have to fight people for parking stalls. But other than that, this location is pretty awesome. read more

Staff will ask you if you want the condiments on sub. I noticed the meats were plentiful and of good quality. Recommend the cold Italian sub with free condiments. Already includes the normal veggies: shredded lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, onions. You can request to omit your choice of veggies. Few tables and chairs if dinning in. Free rewards program. This was my first time coming to jersey mikes and I was honestly going to give it a higher review until halfway through my sandwich I was chewing and found a small piece of plastic in my mouth. Other than that the sandwich was pretty good. I do want to give it another chance as their sauces for the cold subs looked really good. I do want to give a shout-out to some of the workers, it was a Saturday at 1pm and incredibly busy with in-store customers & online orders. The girl who was cutting the meats was so patient and friendly to all the customers and her coworkers in this busy lunch rush as some of the others seemed a bit flustered. She seemed like she could've been a manager but if she isn't already she would be a great fit with her excellent customer service. If youre ever looking for a healthier option but having a hard time finding a spot in the area, just remember you can make any of the subs into a bowl. First time having it in a bowl. I like Jersey Mikes. I don't know, there's not much sandwich shops here to pick from. But Jersey Mikes is very consistency in taste and service. I love using the app for pickup and delivery. They tend to use DoorDash so that's a major plus. I've already used it couple times. When you're busy, it's very helpful. Besides the app, the sandwiches are delicious. I'm not an expert in Italian sandwiches but I think it's good, probably the closest thing to Italian sandwich. Better than subway for sure. I found out that adding pickles is a plus. I'll be honest here....I'm really getting sick and tired of the constant mistakes made at this location. There are MANY times my husband and I have gotten a sandwich from here. My husband likes the pastrami sandwich and he gets the red relish dressing with pickles. Very good.... if they remember the order. I don't know how many times they have screwed up this simple order. Either forgetting the red relish and pickles completely, or the pickles, which we have to return to the location to have them make it right. Why write down the order on paper if it is not read to make sure the order is right?? Last night the 2 girls working almost forgot the pickles, I saw one of the girls only put the red relish on and I had to ask...did you put the pickles? Ooops....forgotten again. I also asked for light "juice" on my sub, only to watch her drench the thing in the "juice". Needless to say, by the time I ate the sandwich my bread was mush..... But here's the best complaint from last night, I was charged for 4 sandwich's, where I only ordered 3. I had to call and speak to a manager on duty to make sure they refunded me for 1 sandwich we didn't get. EVERYTIME something happens regarding our order, I will get a "sorry", but it always comes with an excuse as to why it happened. Considering the regular sandwich's are $10.00 I would expect a little attention to when the sandwich is being made. It's very frustrating to have to come here and watch everything they are doing!! Normally go to the Jersey, Mike's in Hawaii Kai and they are great, but was on the way to the airport, so decided to pre-order at the Kahala store. The sandwich I ordered didn't come with all the ingredients it was supposed to, on top of that, the extras that I asked for and paid for, weren't there. I had jersey mikes at the Maui location near their target and it was so so good that I was wanted to be such a loyal customer because I really wanted to find a place I can always go back to if I ever wanted a sub. Visiting this This location specifically has reminded me the higher the expectation and higher the disappointment.. Messy work stations and lack luster workers who look like they don't want to be there and are not trained to do their job and to top it off to watch my sandwich being made on such a filthy counter was just the icing ontop.. Mind you I am not one that cares for service nor do you need to even greet me, but really I just want exactly to get what I pay for.. to be able to walk into a place and know it's clean and you will leave satisfied with your food that is being offered.. The bread seemed stale because it was hard and the veggies were so old.. my sandwich was so sour... disappointment is an understatement.. mismanaged location and such bummer cos it's a good location.. As with most chains, Jersey Mike's at Kahala provides consistent food with the other locations I've tried and it has been filling and yummy! Parking can get tight near this location in the lot directly in front of it but there are plenty of stalls nearby so it shouldn't be an issue. I always get the Turkey Breast and Provolone as a Sub in a Tub. The one made here was filling and very delicious! The portion was also very reasonable. Just because there is no bread, doesn't mean you have to be hungry, so they add extra lettuce, which does make me full. I really appreciate the customer service here. They addressed all customers that walked in the door, ensuring them that they acknowledged their presence even if they were busy helping someone else. The workers there were very friendly to me and customized my meal exactly how I wanted it. Definitely a great food joint at Kahala, if you want some deli meats and sandwiches. Great customer service and taste is on point. Don't be afraid to wander outside of the mall! read more
