Love this place! Prefer it much better than the Maui Lani location. I come here at least once a month and the sandwiches are always great quality. I've only tried hot subs and it has yet to disappoint. The sandwich is always loaded, hot, and fresh. Definitely recommend ordering ahead so you can just walk up. Sometimes if you go during peak hours, the wait can be forever. I did notice, if you order ahead, if it's a hot sub, they keep it on the warmer so you have to let them know. Otherwise if it's a cold sub, it should be waiting for you on the rack by the door. There are lots of parking stalls available, but can get tricky if Starbucks is busy since it's in the corner. Parking can get a little congested. Don't forget to join their rewards and earn points! You get a free birthday sub too!

I've now been here more then once, so this review is due. People have mentioned about things taking long & service, but it's been fine when I've gone. They were quick to take my order & freshly cut the meat. Yum, I like that it's done that way.My favorite at the moment is the Italian. Lots of those salty meats (ham, cappacuolo, salami pepperoni) & provolone cheese. Bread is also nice & soft. Get it Mike's way of course is the only option. I swear the very first time I went, there was no mini size, but now it seems to be an option on some of the sandwiches, which is the perfect size. Sign up for their loyalty program as you get a free regular size & drink on your birthday. You have a year to redeem it. Yes, they are on the pricey side as the mini was $6.95, especially when you put in comparison with the $5 footlong (even though its not $5 here), but you get my point.

What a stoke of good luck to find Jersey Mikes in this retail shop park. Great fresh meats and produce and cherry pepper relish on great bread. Wonderful, fast service. Prices a little higher than NI but not bad. It's an affordable delicious alternative to many other sandwich shoppes in the area. They had our door seating too.

Maui's second Jersey Mike's location has opened at the Puunene Shopping Center. According to staff, locations in Kihei & Lahaina are set to open as well. ATMOSPHERE: The bright & airy space is located at the southwest corner of Pakaula & Hookele. Parking is plentiful and vehicular access is easy. Seating is small but adequate. FOOD: Grilled Pastrami Reuben - $10.95 regular size I've had this once before at the original Wailuku location. Here, it tasted just as fresh but the pastrami was a bit dry. Even the bread that I've come to love was a tad bit parched, though not enough to sway me from ever returning. Being about 8" in length, I couldn't finish the sandwich as I was also having some soup with it at home. In general, a very good version. SERVICE: My spouse has been in here so many times that a first name was used in the greeting. LOL. They've had a few boo boo's with past orders but nothing extreme. OVERALL: I still get a kick out of their limited topping selections compared to Subway. They're a bit pricey but it doesn't get any fresher than their deli-cut meats.

TIKI DAVE and family loves TIN ROOF MAUI!…read more While our cruise ship was in port, we stopped in after I did some serious research to settle upom Tin Roof and boy were we glad! Holy smokes, that Mochicko Chicken [Hawaiian-style fried chicken made by marinating bite-sized chicken pieces in a sweet and savory soy-garlic batter featuring mochiko (sweet rice flour) before deep-frying] is the bomb! Super crispy bits, amazing flavor, served over garlic noodles...man alive, if you are in Maui and don't grab takeout here, you may as well not go to Maui. It is takeout only and my wife didn't want fried food so she ordered something from the Mexican joint across the parking lot. Since she ordered food there, we figured it'd be ok to eat our heavenly chicken dishes there....NOPE; we were asked to leave. BOO. So we finished, well, the kids finished on the way to nearby Kanaha Beach Park and I finished mine there under the airport and within sight of our ship. It really is a lovely beach. TIKI DAVE from TIKI DAVE'S TERRIFIC TRIPS highly highly recommends TIN ROOF! I will be dropping a video of our experience shortly! Mac salad too. Prices also were reasonable. I would order from here again. Cons- I thought I ordered two large containers of Mac salad, but their idea of large and mine were different! Luckily I was able to order a third on the spot! Oh, also, I did preorder, but if I hadn't... I suppose another con would be that the line would have been crazy long!

First…read moreimpression was this place must be good, they have a line of hungry diners and each table was taken. We were greeted as we came in and told to check out the menu and join the line when we were ready to order. Tables were on a first come first served basis. The server on floor was a man of many suits is what my granddad said. He juggled hosting, clearing tables, taking orders, food delivery service, phone orders, and serving meals. His service was very efficient and hospitable. Their menu is expansive which made deciding both easy and hard for most of us since their whole menu sounded great. We all ended up with their top sellers, the server knowing it was our first time to Hawaii recommended this famous Hawaiian dish. Something about hearing homemade gravy and burger patties along with runny eggs sounds too good to miss out on, with being name Loco Moco, what's not to try? Their famous smoked pork (what they are known for) glazed with this sweet pineapple sauce with a nice punch of heat was definitely a highlight for everyone at the table. We also got the Korean style beef ribs that's served on a hot skillets. The aroma filled the restaurant and definitely captured everyone's attention, this by far was my favorite thing on our table aside from the coconut cake which we had for dessert (Justin, tell your sister I need the recipe!). For seafood we got the Ahi katsu salad (we had to be somewhat healthy lol) it was nice and crispy on the outside. Sauces complemented the juicy flavorful dish so well. I never had papaya seed dressing before until today and I ended up buying my own at Safeway! Sweet, tangy, refreshing paired well with the fish. Hurricane mochi chicken was juicy on the outside and the crispy skin was coated with Hurricane sauce (Teri aioli sauce) so good my nephew bought a bottle to take home. Overall the food was amazing. Server checked on us several times, offering to go plates if you need them ( we didn't need it, we had a proper "mopsesh" ) Disclaimer: They serve their food on paper plates, trust me the food taste better on these plates. The locals next to us said that's what you call a plate lunch while watching our food hit the table Overall experience was great, the service was impressive, the food was amazing, and the place was neat and clean. Thank you Justin for sharing a piece of your family with mines. We will definitely be returning on our next trip. Congratulations with the restaurant expanding as well! You guys are an inspiration! PS: While you wait for your food, read up on their wall and learn a bit of Hawaiian History. They also have a portrait of Sparky's himself.

Pros- food is very flavorful. We enjoyed each dish - hurricane chicken katsu, mochiko chicken, loco moco, smoked meat simen, spam wontons, and a couple spam musubis! Yeah, we were pretty hungry after a full day of travel! In Hawaii with my son and Aunt! Taking my Aunt on a culinary adventure on Maui! Service was friendly and they also have their own parking lot! Cons- can't think of any. Just make sure to order at the counter, then take a seat. They won't go to your table to take your order.

Wanting…read moreto stop by Ben Franklin in Mapunapuna I happened to notice a tent right across the street with huge fonts "Kapwa" and of course I had to check them out and was thrilled it was a coffee bar. As I still haven't had breakfast it was just perfect. Not just any coffee bar but a Filipino inspired flavors and that they were from Maui as well, they were here with a neighboring food truck and found out it was their first time here and if all goes well they may return which is a wonderful thing to hear. Glancing over their menu I was indecisive between the "Turon" a banana lumpia inspired sip or their Ube Matcha Milk Tea with Oatmilk along with their Pandesal Breakfast Sandwich. As I watched them create my drink and make my breakfast sandwich I was sad not to see the green from the matcha as it looked like it was just a Ube drink and my breakfast sandwich was delicious though wished they heated up the pandesal a bit as it was just cold. The service is nice and polite as they made drinks quite fast and efficient, I do hope to see them return here as I really want to try the Turon coffee which I guess is the perk that Maui has. Thank you!

I've mostly given up my coffee ways lately, but I think I've found my new go-to alternative here -- their Ube Matcha Milk Tea. I've tried it with both oat milk and whole milk, and surprisingly, I prefer the oat milk version. It gives the drink a thicker, creamier texture and really lets the ube flavor shine over the matcha (which I love). The drinks come in pretty generous sizes -- 20oz or 24oz -- though I'd personally love to see a 16oz option for iced drinks. I've yet to finish a full 20oz before the caffeine buzz kicks in! My only other suggestion would be to add a touch more ice as it often melts before I can even get to my office. I also tried the pandesal breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and bacon, which was decent -- nothing too fancy, but it did the job. So far, I've really enjoyed my visits here. There's never been a line, service is quick, and I'm usually in and out in under 10 minutes. It's a convenient stop with some creative drinks you won't find elsewhere. Next on my try list is the Ube Taro Cloud! If you're looking to switch up your usual coffee run and try something uniquely Filipino-inspired, Kapwa Coffee Bar is definitely worth a stop!

I am the biggest fan of fried chicken sandwiches!!!! This was one of the best fried chicken…read moresandwiches I have ever had. Just look at the photos this chicken and the bun was huge. It was the size of a small infant head! Let's just start off by saying this was the last day on our trip in Maui and I just wanted something quick and easy and on the cheaper side cause everything has been so expensive. So I looked up the food court and saw that this place had numerous different types of dishes and restaurants within the shopping mall. There's nothing really fancy about this food hall, it pretty much looks like a cafeteria. We come from San Francisco so we're used to food halls being fancy five star blah blah blah. This is definitely a bang for your buck kind of place. I could see that a lot of locals come to this place for lunch as well. Walking up to the chicken restaurant I walked up to a kiosk and ordered my food through there. It was about 15 minutes. I wanted to say until I got my food and when I saw it, my eyes grew so big! The chicken was so moist, and there was so much flavor that it was like bing bang in my mouth. I got mine very spicy so definitely if you're looking for spice to order it spicy. All I can say if you want a quick lunch that is delicious and appropriately priced come check this place out and have yourself a chicken sandwich!

It's usually hard for me to pick something out of a line up of restaurants I've already tried before. So this time was easy. A name I didn't recognize appeared on my screen. Plus since I always want to try something new. Let's see what Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken has to offer this not so hangry yet, girl. So far so good, their stock photos look appetizing. I already picked out a list of items I'd like to try like the: Chicken Sando, Chicken Fingers, Chicken Wrap, Loaded Fries, Salad w/ Chicken Breast as well as the Loaded Mac & Cheese. As for my first visit I chose to try the Loaded Fries with Medium heat & my fiancé chose the Chicken Bites in Mild. Just to be on the safe side when trying out new restaurants as to what they consider to be spicy. I'll usually start in the middle & work my way up on spice. Mild or medium didn't have that kick I was looking for so I'll try hot on my next visit. Just not sure which item will win my pick just yet. However I am a fan of their logo & overall atmosphere. It's a fun restaurant to order at. They have 3 self serve kiosks to order from. The two on the outside are for ordering Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken & the one in the middle is for ordering off of the dessert menu. Which being that I'm usually not one to order soda. I was extremely excited to have an option to order a Thai Tea Boba from here too. So there's still plenty from their treat menu that I'm eager to try as well. My only suggestion I can think of is maybe having different size options to choose from. Cause my loaded fries came in a massive box. It was enough to feed me for 3 meals, breakfast, lunch & dinner. Dating tips: If you're on a budget take your light eater here for an inexpensive date & just take your leftovers to go. Overall my first experience was a good one & I'll work on getting my spicy lovers to sample Angry Hot. Until next time. XOXO, ChelsieFletcher
