They could have used salsa, which fortunately we had at home. Baja Fresh used to be one of those chains where you could fill up on the salsas at the salsa bar, but it was empty. I don't know if this was typical or a holiday thing but it was disappointing. Fortunately, we had our own salsa at home. But it is why it gets three stars not four. Otherwise, decent quality fresh and healthy ingredients.

Bestie and I each got their combo bao, which comes with many ingredients like quail egg, jicama, celery, wooden ears, pork and black pepper. We wanted these heated up, and it took about 10 or so minutes for them to be ready. Bestie did also get a mini bao but asked for it not to be heated so he could eat as a midnight snack. As for the combo bao itself, the whole thing could easily qualify as a meal if you get more than one. Each is about $6 each so they are on the pricier side but it's definitely worth having and it's such a unique addition to the Tukwila area! So much so it almost feels like a hole-in-the-wall or a hidden gem... well it needs more exposure than it has!
