I ordered my sandwich online. I picked it up and got home only to find it was wrong. I had to drive all the way back to get a new sandwich. Zero apology or offer of a free sandwich from the young lady with the shaved head. She acted like it was no real problem that I just wasted 30min driving home and back. They make the sandwiches one at a time. How hard is it. I filed a complaint on the Jersey Mike website with their official order number and never heard a word from them. Terribly disappointing. It's not the first time this location screwed up my sandwich, but I actually used their official complaint system and got nothing but crickets. read more

The sub was good, but the customer service was less than satisfactory. When I got there, I was the only one in the shop. The three employees were all just hanging around and did not look happy to be there. I was not greeted, I was not asked what I would like, or even what kind of bread I wanted. I ate my meal there and witnessed a ton of people come and go, but some were leaving before they got to the front of the line. Food is usually fresh. Can never seem to get online orders correct though. Always order a #8 and never get bacon or mayo put on it. Even when I explicitly say, "yes, I want mayo and bacon", which is frustrating considering it's stated on the menu. Other than that it's decent. read more

I really don't see the issues with customer service. I live really close and have eaten subs from this location many times. I agree that 5star service isn't in their DNA but hey, it is a take out sub sandwich restaurant. I won't be back to this location as I didn't get asked what size or what type of bread really I didn't even order I just asked a question about a sandwich and next thing I know it's on the counter asking what condiments I want on it I got annoyed bc it was the wrong size wrong bread and wrong cheese said I'll add condiments at home. As somebody who has had some of the best sandwiches in the country - and in the world - and in a lot of great cities - I have to stay that these chains that make generic sandwiches are bad, so so bad... but people don't seem to know the difference, and people have very bad taste in sandwiches. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS LOCATION. I love Jersey Mikes, and have been a regular customer for years.. probably go at least once a week. Unfortunately, my experience at this particular location last night, left NO taste in my mouth. Now, I will start off by saying I have worked in a sandwich shop before, and I did walk in 10 minutes before closing at 8:50pm on a Friday night, so I get that the employees probably wanted to get out of there ASAP.. but you're a sandwich shop, your only job is to sell sandwiches during working hours. When I pulled up, the neon 'open' sign was already turned off. 3 employees working, 2 behind the counter. No greeting. Fine, whatever.. they're annoyed I'm coming in right before closing time. Although, still not an excuse to be rude to your customers. I ordered a giant Italian. Employee 1 says they are out of some things. The lettuce bin was almost completely empty.. definitely not enough for even a small sandwich. Employee 1 continues to say they didn't want to cut anymore since they were closing soon.. so they had more lettuce, just refused to cut more. No apology, nothing. I commented they should always have lettuce.. they were still open for 10 minutes. No response. Employee 1 & 2 just looked at each other and smiled as I walked out. That was it. Nothing else was said. So, to summarize the whole interaction... No greeting. "We're out of some things". "We're about to close so we didn't want to cut anymore". No apology or anything else said. Employees smiled to each other as I left. Hate that I will now have to drive a bit farther to get my Jersey Mikes fix, but I refuse to put up with ignorant people. On my way home to Galveston, stopped by for a sandwich for later. Arrived at 10:15am, no one else in the store. Ordered my sandwich salami and pepperoni no cheese on white. Mayo on both breads. As he started to make my sandwich I had to repeat twice no cheese. Then I said lettuce, tomato,onion, pickles, oil & vinegar and salt. So he puts everything on it plus oregano and pepper. So I corrected him once again and he proceeded to take all the veggies off to remake. As he remade my sandwich I walked over to pay. So now I'm home in GALVESTON and it's 3pm and I'm ready to eat my sandwich but there is no onion, pickles, oil and vinegar or salt on it. So not only did I go out of my way to get my lunch but I paid $10 for a sandwich that doesn't have everything I asked for on it. I would cut you some slack if it were in the middle of the lunch rush on a Friday but it was Monday morning at 10am and he couldn't even listen to the ONLY customer you had in the store. I just left this location...I walked in around 8pm to an empty store & was not greeted by the young man that was standing at the counter. He walked towards the back of the store and another gentleman stepped forward. He seemed annoyed or frustrated, so I said, "I'll take a #13". With an attitude, he says, " what bread?" I don't frequent Jersey Mikes, so I'm unfamiliar with their bread offerings, so I stood confused. He huffed, white, wheat, rosemary? I replied wheat. He cut the bread, but didn't bother to ask what size sandwich I wanted. Luckily, I wanted a regular. When he got to the lettuce, tomato, etc station, he just stood there. I replied, I'll take everything. He then says, "Mike's way?!" I reply, I don't know what that is. He begrudgingly tells me & I say, no onions please. The entire interaction was uncomfortable & gave the impression that I was an inconvenience to him. I ordered my sandwich and asked for it not to be cut. Girl at the register asked if I wanted drinks or chips. I told her no. She then gets a knife to cut my sandwich and I told her not to cut it. She acted like she didn't hear me and cut it anyway. She then asked a second time about drinks & chips. The girl was not even paying attention or made any replies to anything I said. And, the ingredients have been fresh and plentiful each time I've had a sandwich from here (3 times as of this writing). I paid $16+ for a #11 giant stickball with extra meat and would get more meat on a, "$5 footlong" (and being the generous idiot that I am, I tipped $3 on an app order) Never again... I don't know who made my sandwich, but they did a shit job on it. Asked for no tomatoes, there's tomatoes. That's not a big deal, I can easily pick those off. But I live not even 2 minutes down the rode and my bread is disgustingly soggy, so it's not like it was seeping in juice. Took 2 bites and my entire mouth was full of mayo? Opened the sandwich up and there's literally so much mayo it looks like somebody dumped half a bottle on it. Do better?? read more

My daughter and I came in about 2:45 on Saturday and there was only one other customer there at the time. Other customers scurried in after us. It took way too long to even take my order. They must of been working on call in orders but they were slow at preparing. We were ordering for take out and the 20 minutes or so that we were there I had a good enough amount time to evaluate the operation. Chaos is the word that comes to mind. First off there were way too many employees in the prep area at one time. One employee was in the prep area and the next minute he's paying for food ahead of us. I'm assuming that one of the people in the prep area was a manager. Then there was some questioning going on whether the employee had ever paid for his food minutes later. The whole place was in a state of confusion. There is a definite lack of structure between the prep area and the cashier. Everyone is bumping into each other like the 3 stooges but it had to be like 5 or 6 people working in the same area. I knew the Philly would take awhile so I wasn't sure if I paid now or had to wait. I had to ask the cashier because she was just staring off into space. I don't want to gripe about every little thing but she needs to speak up and communicate better. This is also probably a small thing as well but if a customer orders an Italian and a Philly they probably should wait on the Philly steak to be at least grilled before they prepare the other. The Italian was made immediately and wrapped in paper and the Philly took like 12-14 minutes to be ready. The cashier called me up to register and started handing me the Italian while the Philly was still being prepared. Then she says oh that's right sir you are waiting on the Philly still. Finally everything was ready and the person who grilled the steak calls me up to the register area right in the cashier's personal space and hands me a bag with both subs. Neither one of them hands me the drink cups so I tell them hey you forget my drinks. When I was leaving there was confusion at the pick up/ Grubhub table. I think you guys get my point. If Undercover Boss came back to television this would be the perfect first episode. They can have the founder Peter Cancro dress up in a wig and act like he's unemployed hotel worker who needs a job. Please message me if you know one that runs like an assembly line like it should because my daughter and I like Jersey Mike's. Ok so on to the food. Are you freaking kidding me??? This thing better taste like Pappa Geno's in Philadelphia. It does not. The Philly and the Italian are good tasting sandwiches but they are overcharging customers. Although the Philly bread was a little soggy I still rate both subs a 3 rating and possibly a 3.5 if Yelp allowed decimal point rating but with all the other issues today my overall rating is a 2. I've ate here twice. First time was great, but the second time? Not so much. I asked for a sandwich with no lettuce (I can't eat any due to an allergy). I thought I saw them put lettuce on it anyway, but I wasn't certain if it was my order or someone else's. After about 30 minutes of sitting around, they wrapped up the sandwich and gave it to me. I asked about the lettuce and one worker said there was never any lettuce on it, while the other said there had been, but he "fixed it". Well guess what - there was lettuce melted into the cheese. Enough that it was falling out of the paper when I opened it. So there went my lunch. Couldn't pick it off because the cheese had been melted on top of it. Long story short, if you're a picky eater or have any allergies, I wouldn't come here. Otherwise, it's pretty good! read more

**Beware of overcharges.** Three times in a row I've been overcharged. Ordered 3 sandwiches, charged for 4. Another time, ordered 3, charged for 4. Today I ordered 4 sandwiches, got charged for 5. This can't be a coincidence when it happens this often. Be very careful to demand your receipt and check it to be sure it matches what you received. If you call them out in it they will correct it, but it seems very suspicious that it happens this often. read more

Ok an unusual review. First great sandwiches. I work near the place. Also great customer service. I accidently paid an order to another location today to go. Wife got there no order, and clearly my mistake as I ordered at the wrong location. Both deserve 5 stars as it was an oversite and mistake by me and not them. Could have and frankly should have charged me for two subs. Instead only charged for one. This is the kind of thing that will make you come back again and again. Oh and yummy. Great subs and very friendly staff. Good food at an affordable price. Will definitely be back.
