Jersey Mike's should put the pipe down. $10 for a 6 inch italian sub!? Lmfao. Seriously guys, check out Napoli, regatta or Steve's pizza. They literally blow you away both in quality and quantity. I'm not even sure how they try to justify this pricing. Oh and I should mention there steak n cheese is steakums. It's no wonder the place was empty at 4:30 on a Friday. I'm giving 10 to 1 they are closed by December 2022. And to the readers: if you decide to try Steve's pizza you have to get their meatball sub and their Italian. They are huge and nearly impossible to eat in one sitting. Napoli offers a wide variety of quality items at a fair market price. Regatta deli...never had a bad or skimpy sub there! I tried to reach the store several times over the next few days...no one picked up. It simply instructed to go to their web site to order...could not get a live person. As I don't live in the area, I then sent a message on the JM's website, to corporate I assume, no one got back to me. They have a nice selection of both hot and cold subs, and a reasonable number of "toppings." I definitely like that the deli meats are cut to order, and while this may slow down the ordering process compared to other shops, I personally think it is worth the wait. I tried a regular #13, The Original Italian, Mike's Way + hots. Ordered takeout - it was well wrapped, but glad I was eating at home as it was messy with oil and vinegar all over the place. I could never eat this at my desk in the office. Came by here for lunch the other day. Staff was very friendly and quick with getting my order taken. I went with the Number Four (Provolone, prosciuttini, and cappacuolo). Overall a very solid sandwich. I would put them as a definite step up from a subway. However with the standard cold sub sandwich chains coming up everywhere again I find it hard to figure out what is differentiating them from the others. If you are in the mood for a sub, and this is close to you, it will be fine. You will get a good size portion for the price and generally good tasting sub. Was craving an overpriced but always excellent Jersey Mike's steak 'n cheese sub this evening (Monday). Went to Marlborough location on Rte 20 about 8 PM. As I started to enter the shop was met by a person obviously frustrated who simply said, "good luck." Then I continued in and found out why. There were no customers, just a short man in the back room playing with his smartphone. I waited at the counter...and waited...this guy never once looked up. I used to buy subs here when i would get BOGO email deals when they first opened in the area and then when I'd get a free sub on my B-Day. But, they are wayyyyyy overpriced for what you get with normal menu pricing. The Regatta is much better as well as Boomer's in Worcester. If fact, you can't go wrong with Subway in my opinion and they always have coupons. I frankly don't know how they can justify the prices that they charge for average subs. Ridiculous! Place couldn't handle a simple lunch rush during a pandemic. Cant even imagine what they were like prior to this. Order took almost 40 mins and I had also ordered ahead. Not only that but it was incorrect. Giving at least a two star because the food is actually pretty good. A little pricier then I would like , but not too bad. I've worked in the restaurant business before and handled thousands of lunch rushes. I know what it's like and I feel for them. But this was just ridiculous. I tried out jersey Mike's subs in Marlboro The other day while I was doing work on the house So I ordered DoorDash. It arrived promptly but it was really truly an epically awesome sub! I got the original Italian Mike's way with mayonnaise In my homer Simpson voice I actually said to myself... I can't believe I ate the whole thing It was packed tight and it was awesome so I decided to try them again a few days later about an hour before close. I called and the person who answered the phone was very cordial and was very accurate in their knowledge of the product but also asked me if I would like to add another sub or another item which was nice...Talking to someone on the phone with a little personality instead of just an order taker is a huge plus for me I arrived at the promised time and my sub was ready. The shift supervisor working was great and up sold me on a couple cookies and a brownie And even though the fountain machine was not working, tour guided the cold drinks in the cooler, this was a guy that could just roll with the punches and I can respect that 100 percent! I'm excited to try them again and venture out And perhaps maybe try another type of sub even though I'm a sucker for the Italian always have been always will be. So if you're in the market for a quick sub for a quick meal this is definitely the place.
