You can tell they genuinely care about what they're providing. The beef is outstanding--hands down the best we've ever had. Their chicken is just as impressive, and even the hot dogs are fantastic. Honestly, we've tried just about everything they offer, and there hasn't been a single disappointment. They (the bakery) either also have a deli or it is merely adjoined to it. Seating is limited in both areas, but probably more capacity than the lot permits. The people in both the bakery and deli were super friendly. They have a good selection of donuts/bakery products. Their baked goods are very sweet. The apple fritter was super sweet, but you could still taste the apples. It was crunchy on the outer ring and soft in the center--just the way a good fritter should be. The blueberry fritter had a different shape from a traditional apple fritter, but similar texture and sweetness to the apple. You could barely taste the blueberries. The banana fritter was similar in size, sweetness, and texture to the blueberry and so not a traditional fritter like the apple. Overall, the apple was best on this visit, but all three are worth a try. The bacon-maple curler was better than the blueberry and banana fritters, but the apple fritter is still my favorite. Their powdered sugar donut holes are about standard. They were fine, but not as good as the other items. They are also not as sweet, so are a good option if you want a smaller portion and/or something not too sweet--you can order them by the piece. Only strange thing was the bathroom. The deli needs to buzz you into the toilet and once inside then you need to press a button on the wall to buzz yourself out! The area does not look like it, but guess they must have a major homeless problem to do such a thing. At any rate, this was an awesome bakery that was worth the super long drive to go try. According to other Yelpers who live nearby, they do sell out of various items as the day goes on. I almost started crying I got so excited. I said I wanted the big one so he weighed them both for me. We took my prize sheep to the back and the butchers proceeded to ask me how I'd like it cut. "No thank you" I said and asked about the gland, they had already removed it. We love that. However they kept asking me how I wanted it cut and this is when I started to get protective of little Lucius. I had been thinking of names the whole way there you see. I knew he was a Lucius the moment I saw him. Anyway, I told them I wanted to cut! A little shrilly I might add. Well, that certainly got the point across as they all laughed and apologized. I grabbed a trash bag off the shelf and said let's go! We bagged em and they even carried him to my car! Well that was just the beginning. They write songs about how far Lucius and I traveled together. Literally over 500 miles... you get it. He kept very well in my cooler in the car over night, which is where we both slept. All the way until the big reveal the next day! We took the chill off his bone, gave him the most fabulous exfoliating massage with s, p, cumin mustard and garlic. Then cooked him for 8 hours. Let me tell you this was The best lamb ever served in the dark of that campsite. With out a doubt. And with a lot of pita. 10/10 would recommend.
