We started with the Chicken Marsala Stuffed Mushrooms, which were packed with rich, savory flavor. I ordered the 'Shroomy Grilled Cheese, and it was next-level comfort food; gooey, earthy, and perfectly balanced. My husband and aunt both had the New School Smash Burger, and they couldn't stop raving about it. Every dish was bursting with flavor and truly "to die for." Our server, David, made the night even better. He was attentive, upbeat, and genuinely kind; an overall great spirit with a fantastic attitude who elevated the entire dining experience. David even brought us some of their popcorn, which was so delicious and such a fun extra touch. We loved the food, we loved the service, and we will definitely be back; highly recommend.

It has almost a cult-like following after reading the reviews. In my experience, everything I have ordered was okay ... but nothing incredibly amazing vs. the price. I have not seen higher menu prices outside of Manhattan. Two sandwiches and one beer came to $78 after the tip. You read that correctly ... a burger with fries, a pulled pork sandwich with side salad and the cheapest draft beer on the menu ... $78!!! The wings/tenders were over $20 ... in fact, other than the side upgrades, nothing on the menu was under $20. If you are charging $25 for a 'diner burger' and fries, it better be an amazing burger. Mine was no better than Five Guys and less tasty than a Shake Shack. Given the prices, one wouldn't expect that you'd get potato chips with your burger. In order to get French fries ... it's a $5 upcharge. A side salad is $9. I don't mind paying more for quality ... and Blackie's quality is probably high as their meats, vegetables, potatoes, etc. all list the origin place. However high the quality is, for me anyways, the food doesn't seem much different taste-wise, than anywhere else that is much less expensive. Having said that, the portions are huge. The nachos look like they are meant for an entire table and everything is served on metal cafeteria-style trays. Good for them though because the place is huge and always packed. The crowd here is very typical 'Rhode Island'. Expect to see a lot of anchor tattoos, lifted Jeeps with no doors in the parking lot, young 20 - 40 year old crowd who probably played high school football or baseball back in the day and still enjoy telling stories about it. There are no shortage of cross-fitters here. There is a nice buzz of conversation and energy ... but this is not the place you want to go if you don't like crowds. Inside is weird. The walls are painted black and the chairs/tables look like something in a boutique hotel. It looks a little more like a corporate hotel lobby or wedding function hall vs. a restaurant ... especially given the typical crowd. This is not the sports bar it appears to be on the outside. Overall, my 3-stars may seem harsh. But that's an average score ... and honestly, my food has always been average. Maybe I need to try the pizza. If you have deep pockets and like huge portions, you probably won't be disappointed in this place. The service is great, although 2 people working a packed bar, you will wait a bit if you need anything. Also, I came to watch the big game and for some reason they hung pendant lights which dangle down from around the bar. While they make everyone look better, the TVs are blocked by the lights. Very odd.

Shake shack appeared before us, so my friend and I decided to share a burger. I t was his first time, so I stuck to the very basics - a classic single cheeseburger with parmesan garlic fries (okay, the fries weren't so basic). We used their kiosks to order which were very easy to navigate, took a number, and found a table - although all the booths were taken since it was packed. The total was around $15 pre tip ($7.99 + $5.99) which I thought was a bit steep. While we waited, we served ourselves some water and got some ketchup at the counter. We also noticed how attentive the staff were; immediately cleaning up after customers and bringing the food to your table. I typically don't tip at fast food restaurants but I am glad I tipped here since they really work for it. The food came out after about 15 minutes. The burger looked delicious, albeit a little small. I was hoping the fries would have shredded instead of grated parmesan. The fries were okay, and so was the sauce. I would have preferred the regular cheese fries. The burger was also okay. Everything tasted very fresh. I think a double patty would have made it better, but it was not worth paying $2.50 more for a thin patty. The toppings were fresh, and the cheese was perfectly melted. The bathrooms were pretty clean. I think this spot is relatively new at Wrentham and will do well - it's quick good food and there's seating.

At the window: the employee gave me a bag with food and a straw inside, but no cup or water. Asked again, and dude just said "you're all set" while looking hella spaced out. No explanation. Great. I'm fine paying a dollar for the cup (cheaper/more than a $2 Dasani bottle), but they didn't say anything about charges or restrictions. If they'd told me upfront "we don't do large water cups," I'd have grabbed a Hi-C or lemonade instead. No big deal. Ended up buying a drink at Job Lot so I didn't choke on the food. This has happened here before, so I decided to send an email to corporate, because I wanted clarification. Got a generic sorry/we'll tell the store reply. Still zero clarity on their actual rule. Not mad about water, but I'm annoyed like hell about the mixed signals and zero communication when I asked. I still don't goddamned know!!! I guess if you're not willing to pay a few bucks for a measly 16oz Dasani bottle, don't order water at the Lincoln, RI McDonald's. This is some McFuckery.

He clearly stated I have a severe tomato allergy and requested NO KETCHUP (I was on the phone with him so I explicitly heard him say this). The staff acknowledged this, explicitly promising to change their gloves and put a "special request" flag on the order to ensure it was safe. They put the special request on my food and still, the burgers arrived covered in ketchup. The most alarming part? When I called to complain, the manager's immediate defense was that the employee claimed my boyfriend "only mentioned the allergy but didn't say no ketchup." This proves the staff discussed the allergy while preparing the food and still chose to put ketchup on it (instead of just asking). Any competent food service worker knows ketchup is made of tomatoes. They acknowledged a medical risk and then ignored it. To top off this dangerous experience, the manager told me he "didn't like my tone" when I called to tell them what happened and ask for a refund. I did not swear or scream; I was rightfully firm and upset about a mistake that could have sent me to the ER. To the Store Owner: 1.) Review your camera/audio footage from the drive-thru at 5:21 PM. You will hear the clear request for no ketchup. 2.) Review of the internal recordings of my phone call to the store at 5:51 PM. (I assume you have a recorded line). You will hear a manager more concerned with my "TONE" than the fact that his team served a known allergen to a customer. This wasn't just a "mistake", it was a total breakdown of safety protocols they claimed to be following. I expect a full refund and a response from the franchise owner AND I expect an investigation into this manager.
