I recently came here to get an original Italian sandwich after watching the Try Guys eat Italian subs on YouTube. I had never really had an Italian sandwich before, but this is everything I expected it to be, nothing too out there. It was loaded with different meats and I could taste each one. I got it mikes way and added some pepperoncini and jalapeños. The bottom bread soaked up all the juices, but the top one was a little dry. Service was pretty good. I had never tasted the red relish before and they let me try it before deciding to put it on my sandwich or not - it tasted like a sweet relish but with peppers. They greeted me as soon as I came in. We LOVE Jersey Mikes so when we moved into the neighborhood, we were super excited to have one located so close to us. We've visited here often and they consistently give you amazing proportioned sandwiches. My husband eats here ALL the time and when I asked what his favorite was, he said "definitely the Italian!!", and if you're from the East Coast, you'll totally understand! What encouraged me to post about this particular location is an incredible staff member: Crystal. Without a doubt, she is THE BEST at what she does. She is kind, professional, and an exceptional sandwich maker. She is also friendly and courteous, immediately building a rapport with you as she patiently waits for your two kids to place their order. I had a terrible day, I mean on a scale of 1-10, I was a 20. Took the kids there to help me get through the stress because I couldn't make dinner. My day was horrible and Crystal was the only person that showed me kindness and grace. If I could, I would have given her the biggest hug. I left Jersey Mikes trying to hold it together and I cannot thank her enough. This is our first time trying Jersey Mike's. My friend recommended this to me, saying it serves pretty good subs, so my parents and I wanted to give it a try. SERVICE: We went at 6:00 P.M. on a weekday. Initially, there were no customers and the only worker in the store at the time took our orders. Soon after, several people appeared, and although another worker came back shortly after from his break, it was clear that this shop needs more workers. One worker is cooking the contents for hot subs while another worker is juggling taking orders, prepping sandwiches, and handling payments. FOOD: The subs were not bad! We ordered two Philly Cheesesteaks and one Turkey and Provolone. The turkey cold cuts were good and was our favorite out of the two subs. The cheesesteak was not bad, but I found mine to be a bit on the dry side. Overall, we were satisfied with the taste. CLEANLINESS: This is the number one most important aspect of any food establishment, and the number one missing thing here in this shop. We observed that the worker who was going back and forth between prepping the food, taking the orders, and handling the cash register never once changed his gloves in between. The gloves worn when touching the pen and the cash register screen are the same gloves used when handling the food. I also noticed that the bread was initially just placed on the counter, with no wrapping paper underneath. In addition, there were no tongs/pickers for the toppings -- the worker used those same gloved hands to grab the lettuce. The workers were also unmasked. This is the main reason why I have docked stars off from my rating. ~*~*~*~*~*~ All in all, the subs are good but the cleanliness gets 0 stars from me. I do hope the manager or owner of this franchise sees this review and prioritizes proper training of their employees on cleanliness. read more

Having Jersey Mike's at the UTC mall is a win for the working class of the UTC area. Westfield's UTC mall has been killing off traditional food court brands in favor of more sophisticated ( and expensive ) dining options. Jersey Mike's on the other hand is realistically priced, higher quality sandwiches, that are always consistent. I recommend the #6 Roast Beef ( RB is processed on sight) + Mike's way... You just can't go wrong with it. So, seeing how I hadn't been to the Westfield UTC location, I stopped by for lunch a couple of days ago to redeem it. My order was for the #9 Club Supreme made Mike's Way: roast beef, turkey, swiss cheese, bacon, and mayo, with lettuce, tomato, onion, oil, vinegar, and spices. The sandwich was definitely filling (it's a 9-inch one) - the wheat bread was freshly baked and toasty, and it was nice seeing the meat for my sandwich being sliced and prepared in front of me. Not as much variety in the toppings (and bread types) as Subway, but it sure tastes fresher! Oh, and I got a free cookie for my birthday as well! Sandwiches are good but I have been here 4-5x now, both when the shop is empty and when there are 3-4 other customers (max). And EVERY TIME I have had to wait 20-30 min+ to even put my order in. Every single time. The workers are so busy slicing meat or making mobile orders (or whatever they are doing) that you have to wait aimlessly for literally 20 minutes+. Not to mention, 2 of the times I had a mobile order that should have been ready when I got there & I still had to wait that long. I thought each time was a fluke but it has been every time.... Like a lot of eateries Jersey Mike's is hit and miss depending on what you order and HOW you order it (technique is huge) Ask for one of their Italian favorites ON THE GRILL. This my friend is the key and will probably work for most of their subs; the meats are put on the grill to caramelize a bit and this process makes them and the sandwich come ALIVE!(think young Frankenstein). Tonight my fiancé and I came in to grab two large subs. The sign on the door states they close at 9pm. It was 8:30 when we walked in and the young man working the counter already seemed to be closing up shop. He had just got done cleaning the slicer and became visibly upset that we decided to come in 30 min before they were closing to ordered some subs. He was rude to my fiancé and I. His coworker on the other hand was understanding and helped us as cheerfully as she could despite closing in 30 minutes.
