This is, without question, the worst experience I have ever had at a McDonald's location. I waited 37 minutes in the drive-through for a simple order: a coffee (with one pump of vanilla, specifically requested) and a Filet-O-Fish sandwich. The wait time alone was unacceptable. Once you enter this drive-through, you are completely stuck with no way out. When I finally received my order, the coffee was overloaded with syrup far beyond the one pump I clearly requested. Attention to detail was nonexistent. During the wait, I witnessed multiple vehicles attempting to leave due to the excessive delay. This place causes major anxiety This reflects a serious failure in management and operational efficiency. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location under any circumstances."AVOID AVOID AVOID " This is the worst customer service experience I have had, and I will not be returning. I would give this location zero stars if it was an option. I placed a mobile order on a Saturday evening at approx 8pm. When I arrived, it was nearly a 20 MINUTES wait through the drive through JUST TO MAKE IT TO THE ORDER WINDOW. As I pulled up to give them my code for my mobile order, the lady claimed it did not exist. She proceeded to ask if I ordered at the right location whether I picked in store instead of drive through, if I was a Door Dash or Uber Driver.. the list goes on. I proceeded to show her my confirmation code via Email AND McDonald's app- she claims it is a screenshot image. Like instead of trying to solve the problem.. I'm being blamed for as the customer for making an error or lying. The customer service here is non existent. I proceeded to ask to speak with the manager, Nancy, and she gave me my order. But the experience still left a very sour taste on my mouth. Like I'm just a tired human being after having worked 13 long hours and I'm just trying to get a pick me up before heading home to decompress. I don't recommend going here. I went simply because it was close by .. and the McDonald's near my house didn't have the Grinch Meal available. Please save your sanity and go check out a different location, even if it's slightly farther. I personally like the McDonalds in Sorrento Valley .. on Scranton Road. Called ahead to get fresh coffee made. They did not make it fresh. I literally called ahead specifically so that it would be easier on them to do it. I used to work at McDonald's and I was a kid so I'm not impressed with this location in fact I really think they need to start revisiting management across the majority of the stores. I had to go back in and get the vanilla shot that I had requested and "Flore" had a not great attitude about it. I don't know what it is lately but I know that it's difficult working in public and you're dealing with a lot of different type of people but if I call ahead and I'm being polite and I pay for something. Then they need to respect the fact that that's my money. The difference between this location and the McDonalds on Clairemont Drive is night and day and has to reflect on the manager. This location is hit or miss. I've visited about four times pre-ordering on the McDonald's app, and then providing the code at the drive thru. Even though they utilize the stickers that say the bag has been double checked, half the time I've gone I would have to pull over or park once leaving the final window discovering one item of the order was forgotten or missing. I want to acknowledge that when I have gotten out of the car to retrieve the missing item inside the workers are apologetic and assist as swiftly as they are able. I've seen how crazy packed inside and outside this location can be during lunch hour, or breakfast rush -- and I want to acknowledge that I'm sure the workers are trying their best. I appreciate that they approach with kindness. I feel like the drive thru orders are more accurate when I've ordered live, but when ordering live and not utilizing the app you miss out on any deals and discounts. Inside the store, there are mostly kiosks to self-order. Plenty of indoor seating, and from what I can tell the inside of the location is kept clean. The food is usually prepared well. Possibly the worst McDonald you'll visit. I live near this one but will drive to one further away 99% of the time. You can expect longer wait times for no apparent reason, even when the lines are short. I have yet to encounter a nice employee through the drive though, and there's a high chance your order will be wrong. Last time the hamburger was wrong, they forgot the chicken nuggets and a fry, and they gave me the wrong sodas. They redid the burger and it was wrong again. Both happy meal fries were sooooo gross and stale tasting but the adult fries were fine. Skip this McDonald's and go to a different location. read more

This location has been a very hit or miss spot for the last few years that I've seen it, with more misses in recent history than ever. What should be the most standard fast food experience becomes a longer wait than in-n-out. 30 minutes+ for an online order that doesn't ever get delivered to the counter followed by an in store order that takes another 30 minutes and STILL isn't brought out. Staff aren't attending to any meaningful tasks and seem to have no idea of how to move efficiently in any capacity. Orders that do come out have a deficiency rate well over 50% from my experience, and with no visible attempts to improve, this is by far the worst McDonalds nationally if not globally from what I've seen. read more

Very nice of McDonald's to give out free breakfast for school employees.  I visited during McDonald's Free Thank You Meals to Educators promotion. This was a weeklong event and I tried 2 meals. Bacon and egg biscuit featured a fresh and fluffy biscuit with a mild slightly sweet flavor.  Eggs were scrambled with a light egg flavor.  Bacon was crispy with a savory flavor.  Good breakfast. Sausage biscuit featured a fresh and fluffy biscuit with a mild slightly sweet flavor.  Sausage was hot and I liked the savory flavor.  Another good breakfast.  This is my favorite as there is more meat and savory flavor. Hash browns were hot and crunchy with a sharp potato flavor.  Good but I prefer the french fries which have a more mild potato flavor. Service was speedy each visit.  I prefer cooking my own breakfast but these meals are good for when I'm on a road trip or too tired to cook. read more

It's McDonald's but this was the first time I had to wait an hour for my food only to find out it was on the shelf the whole time. I showed the worker my order and he told me to wait. I said okay, and then half an hour gone by and everyone before me got their food. I go to the counter to ask again but everytime they handed someone their food they just run back to behind the kitchen and start working on drive-thrus. I have been going to this McDonald's for a couple of years now and I will stop now, no matter how hungry I am after my gym classes nearby (I only stop there when super hungry and nothing else in my head than Big Mac and fries). The people working there are not very customer service oriented, some even annoyed by your presence or asking to change something in the menu or asking for something as simple as a tray to sit there and not having to put the food directly on the table. Last time was :'oh, we are out of trays'...really? no one in the restaurant at that time and you are out? Then the fries seem old and dry and when arriving to the table cold. You have to beg for salt or other added item. The sandwiches are built so bad is a joke and the orders have been confused so many times that I gave up.
