It's wholly unfair that I've eaten at Jersey Mike's a hundred times and have never taken the time to review it. The service is consistently top-notch. The team seems to genuinely enjoy their job, they make eye contact and greet you as you walk in. Take a moment to ask yourself: When was the last time you visited a sandwich shop and received this level of service? My hat is off to the management team because they have an excellent training program in place. As mentioned by other Yelpers the food is great too. Steve, I should have called back after last review but I couldn't remember the day that I came in. With that being said...I have been sick the last 7 days with the flu and haven't ate a bite of solid food in 7 days, I thought since going in sucked so bad last time and I'm too sick still to go anywhere I would go with Uber eats. They dispatched two different drivers and each time they were told the order wasn't ready yet, one driver called very apologetic and explained situation to me, I get the fact Uber has to be quick and have limited time to wait but after a hour and a half sandwich still wasn't ready?? So my order was cancelled! From the times I have been in there there is a lack of organization, employees are too busy needing a smoke and the customer service is not acceptable. I mentioned before I was in Management for a grocery chain and if any of my employees were like that I would have sent them home to think about it or suggest the start looking for another job. Always teach your employees to greet each customer, smile and acknowledge (like I'll be with you as soon as I finish this order) instead of acting like your not there. Can I suggest that maybe you need a person to do online orders only and a couple out front doing walk ups? I really feel done with this location and by the looks of reviews I'm not the only one with the same issues. If I were you I would be very concerned what the employees are doing to your business. Okay I feel weird giving a chain restaurant 5 stars, I don't know why. However, we come here 2-3 times a month, probably one of the food establishments we frequent on a regular basis. So I guess that's saying something. Plus we drive almost 30 minutes to get here. (Can someone tell me why there are no Jersey Mike's in Seattle anymore? When searching I noticed the downtown locations are now closed. Not that I ever go downtown. And also, why can't there be in one in Ballard because I'd go there a lot, probably.) We really like sandwiches, which is probably evident. They don't make us feel greasy and heavy, they taste fresh and are the perfect food! Just had to quickly profess my love of sandwiches before I go into the details of this particular sandwich place. There's a guy that works here who definitely recognizes us at this point. He is always there when we come in and he always slices everything for us. He's really friendly, but not in that fake way. In a chill way. They don't wear name tags though so I have no idea what his name is, but he has long hair. I'm pretty sure multiple times when we've come here I've been extremely hangry (my boyfriend takes FOREVER to get out of the house) and you could probably tell by my expression. I promise I wasn't mad at you guys. I just have an expressive face that doesn't really hide emotions well. I specifically felt compelled to write this review today because well, we went there this afternoon. It was about 2:30 pm (on a Saturday), which is usually the time we come and it's never really busy because that's pretty late for lunch. Well today it was PACKED! Like a bunch of the tables were occupied and there were at least seven people in front of us. However, they handled it super well. (Yes, it is slower than places like Subway and Jimmy John's because they actually slice the meat and cheese to order.) Our sandwiches were extra good today, despite their chaotic random rush at 2:30 pm. I always get a number 7 (turkey and provolone) on rosemary parmesan bread, Mike's way (minus the onions), add pickles and mayo. Once I tried to change it up and got a BLT, but it was meh. Number 7 all the way! The only time I've ever been puzzled by this place was when we came in at 7 pm one day (2 hours before close) and the girl said they were out of bread. Weird... so we drove to the Mill Creek location because we were SET ON SOME SANDWICHES! It was a pain in the butt though, but worth it. I used to be all about Jimmy John's which is conveniently located three blocks from my apartment, but I'd rather drive all the way to Jersey Mike's. read more

I had a tuna there that had that harsh flavor that C grade tuna has. It was a little better than Subway. Service was OK. The tuna is actually a 2 star rating but their other sandwiches are better. Port of Subs is the only decent tuna that I have found. read more

Great sandwiches, just make sure you are loud,and clear and repeat when asking for no onions or peppers. I don't know if it's just too loud back there or what. They wrap the hot subs at the grill so you can't see so make sure you unwrap to check if taking it to go. read more

I've been coming here since they opened. Definitely "a sub above" most the time. I know they get pretty damn busy and sometimes the app gives a wrong time estimate. But my last order was sub par. If I'm paying for a giant I think it should've been better. If you're out of you're rosemary/parm bread that's ok but you should tell you're customer that it'll be on white instead even if ordered online. That's not the thing that gets me though. I requested extra oil/vinegar but what I found instead was less of both then what I would get even without requesting extra. I wouldn't feel as compelled to write this if they were slammed but there were more workers then sandwiches going out. Not the experience I've known and loved at this location. Some of the best Subs in the Seattle area. Can't beat subs that are smothered in shredded lettuce then doused in oil and vinegar. Some people don't care for that style of sandwich, but those of us who do, this is the place! Fantastic customer service. Stopped by today and the store was a complete mess. Always fun to eat off a dirty table (btw, the place was empty except for me and a buddy) Even the walls had oily fingerprints all over them. The guy on the slicer figured my sandwich was the one he wanted to use all the scrap roast beef end pieces on, it was a pathetic looking sandwich. My buddy ordered Albacore tuna. It's like all the newish reviews say, they've raised the prices by 2 bux and give you half the meat you used to get. What they did was turn the dial on the slicer so low that you can see through the cheese and meats. So you get substantially less food for a lot more money. I'm a toasted sandwich lover, and I approve of Jersey Mike's. Aside from the fact that it's a stones throw from my house, it's also delicious, and not too badly priced. They feature changing daily special that offers a sub and a drink for about $7, which is pretty much the industry standard. I've had a a few of their different subs and have yet to be disappointed. Jersey Mike's can really deliver! Well, let me rephrase that, as I don't think they deliver, but Jersey Mike's really serves up a good sandwich! As stated, meats and cheeses are freshly cut when you order and stacked up high! I don't think it's too fair to compare these to Subway's offerings, as Subway is focused more on... well, comparatively I wouldn't say freshness or taste... maybe value with their $5 subs? If Jared looked just a little more fit, I'd say health-consciousness, but, well... we've all seen him. Tried Mike's today - a Classic and a Pastrami Reuben. Based on the Yelp reviews, I expected much better. The Classic was OK and the Pastrami had no taste other than salt. It was very small pieces of pastrami rather than any recognizable slices. The bread was mediocre reminiscent of Subway. Yes, slicing meat is a nice touch but slicing the lowest quality turkey adds nothing. Mike's is not reminiscent of New Jersey sandwiches in any way. The meat must be close to home made and the bread has to have crunch. The sandwich needs substance. It can't be done for the price Seattleites expect to pay. Go to Grinders Hot Sands down the street for the closest thing to a real East Coast Sub. read more

I was hungry for lunch, and I went round and round on what sounded good, and then I saw the sign for Mikes in the Aurora Village Shopping center, and decided to give them a try, so I went in, and my eyes gravitated to the philly sandwiches on the board, so I ordered the #43 with the onions, mushrooms, and Chipotle Mayo. They delivered it to my table, and when I unwrapped it from the bag, and foil, I was suprised at the size of the bun, for a regular, I started into it, and every bite I had to mess with the onions which were long and stringy, it seemed like there was more onions than meat, and more bun than was necessary. The sandwich was very sloppy, and I had to dump the last 3 inches because I couldn't keep it together, and the Chiptle Mayo was barely there. not impressed at all. read more

I don't know why they bother with the order ahead option. The 1st time I tried it they didn't even have record of my order. They said it was just starting out so had glitches. Today I thought I would give them another chance since I was in such a hurry. Well they had record of it but it was not ready. I use to go to college in Philadelphia and while there I fell in LOVE with chicken cheesesteaks. Anyone who has been to center city Philly knows the vendor carts and how amazing they are. I've lived in quite a few places since Philly and in every place I have found a place that makes "chicken cheesesteaks". I've eaten so many imposters that I had given up hope of ever finding an amazing CCS with out going back to Philly, then I found this place. I had always heard of Jersey Mikes but never at there. When I arrived and saw Chicken Cheesesteak on the board I though "oh great it's gonna be just like the others"...big chunks of Chicken, spray cheese, far too fancy and far too clean, over seasoned, all that. I work really close by here and I wanted something a little "nicer" than subway for lunch. I'm vegan, which means no cheese or meat. When in a pinch I love to order loaded veggie sammies from Subway (even a few of their sauces are vegan!), so that was the plan. The woman in front of me was vegetarian and the man making her sandwich was SO nice and generously offered to wipe down the slicer before cutting the cheese (hehehehe) for her sandwich. He spent a good 2 minutes cleaning this thing (which of course I didn't mind--I love when places are so respectful of people's dietary restrictions!), which was refreshing to see. I literally ordered a sub "with all the vegetables, no meat/cheese/oil)" and they were very nice, changes knives before cutting my sandwich, making small talk about veganism, etc. The one thing I noticed was that there are hardly any veggies! I think all I got was some lettuce, pepperoncinis, jalapenos and tomato. At Subway I can get spinach, tomato, avocado, lettuce, red onion, jalapeno, cucumber, and some sauces. Would I go back? Nah, not enough options for me. But I was very pleased with and appreciated how kind all the employees were about particular diets, and they were all super nice! woohoo! read more

5-1-14. We Went here on double stamp Monday. These Subs are up there with the best. Only thing missing is an option for Miracle Whip and sweet pickels! There is always a line so they suggest calling the order in ahead of your arrival. I prefer to custom order and look at the condiments in the cold case and get HOT bacon. The two folks working that day were so friendly, the place was clean. And the cheese had so much flavor! I had never been here before, but I got a few regular subs to give it a try. I got a classic sub with ham and turkey and the big kahuna cheese steak. The classic sub was delicious and definitely had more flavor than most subs I've eaten. Their "Mike's way" flavoring is really tasty. The regular sub was only about 8 in, but it felt pretty loaded overall. I got mine's on wheat bread and it felt like a good selection of veggies in the sub. The big kahuna cheese steak was also pretty good. If anything, it was just a little too spicy because of the peppers, for my taste. The sub came warm and the cheese was nicely melted inside. The cuts of steak were plentiful and had a good texture. Overall, a satisfying sub. Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Service was solid, although the hot subs like the big kahuna do take about 10 mins to arrive. I'm not sure if you can request a custom made sub, as I just ordered off their menu. For about $9/regular sized sub, it's not a bad value for the taste and portion size, but definitely not as cheap as Subway. Overall great experience and worth a visit. read more
