I'm not sure why I hadn't eaten here before. We saw an ad in our football program and decided to try it. It amazes me how the people who wait on you can make or break your experience there. This kid named Mikey helped us and made such a huge impression on us. He was so helpful and explained everything to us with such a friendly, positive attitude. You can tell this kid loves his job and loves life. It shows in his work. We ordered a turkey sub and a chipotle cheesesteak sub. Both were amazing! The place is clean, fast and ran very efficiently. The food is excellent as always. The manager was nice and calm and working fat but there were some issues. 11am on Friday, understaffed. 15 people in line consistently for 45 minutes. This is my favorite sandwich shop in town and I've nearly tried them all. Even though when it's busy it can sometimes take a while to order your food, the service more than makes up for it. That line means people are willing to wait for an excellent product. There are a lot of regulars that visit this location and the employees always acknowledge who they can remember. Slowest jersey mikes ever!!! I counted 6 employees and only 2 where making sandwiches and checking people out. I waited quite a while for mayo along with another guy in front of me. Then the girl took her sweet time putting on her gloves like there wasn't people waiting on her. I almost jumped behind the counter and did it myself. This place is really good. The staff is very friendly. Some people are complaining about the staff moving slow...really? They are human beings, not robots. Most of that meat is cooked and it's all fresh so "cross contamination" is a joke. People are too uptight. This is by far the worst Jersey Mike's ever. The staff is incompetent and has some terrible customer service skills. The past 3 times I have come in, the same manager (taller with dark hair) is cutting the meat and gives me the worst attitude. He acts as if we're bothering him by coming in and giving them business. The girl who rang me up was rude as well, didn't say a single word to me except for how much I owe, and when I didn't give them a tip she scowled at me. These employees don't seem to know what they're doing and screw up orders a lot more than often. The manager needs to either get his attitude in check or leave because he is not fit for a job where he has to talk to people constantly. Great subs! Jersey Mikes Subs are very filling with quality ingredients. Unlike the other national chain that has their meat pre cut, JMS cuts their meat fresh for each sandwich. Jersey Mikes sandwiches are pretty damn good and I'm always happy when it's time for one. Out of the 3 jersey mikes locations in Valencia and 1 location in Castaic, this Stevenson ranch location has to have the worst of their employees. As stated below by several reviewers, the employees at this location either seem annoyed, interrupted by the pesky customer that is asking for a sandwich or even glassy eyed and pulled from their "pot" smoking break. I had a poor experience at this location today. The crew of 6 only had two people working the line, with what I guess was a new person making the sandwiches. The staff talked too much to each other and kept causing confusion to the two people working. The line went slow. The phone in orders were mixed into the line orders to create more confusion. My order was not made to my liking, even with me standing there trying to get a word in to the one guy making my food. Then a new person started working the register.... The one who was taking out the trash. She returned to audit the drawer in between ringing customers. Hand wash... No. This person rang me up, and put all my food into bags. Dirty. I'm not familiar with how Mikes does business. It may be part of the charm to have the crew slice the meat to order. I didn't appreciate the girl cutting all variety of meats and cheeses and never cleaning the cutter. It's a cross contamination nightmare to me. The guy I thought to be in charge came out and made a few smart comments and wise cracks before he went back to his other mystery duties. I don't care for the Jersey Mikes way. Went in a couple days ago and was helped by a young Latino man his name was eddy I was in a bad mood so I wasn't looking for conversation I just wanted my food and i wanted to get out but when I was greeted by his friendly smile it cheered me up a bit then he began to ask me how I was doing now usually when an employee asks how I'm doing I get this sense that it's just something they say but when eddy asked me it seem like he really cared and he actually listened and when I walked out I couldn't believe how happy I was I guess it was because some one actually listened I will defiantly be back and hopefully I see my buddy Eddy I just wish there was a higher rating that 5 stars read more

I wa there earlier tonight. Two boys were at the counter. One of them is fairly new. The assistant manager was putting away bread. Not really a busy time yet for them. There is 4 of us, customers. The other two was a couple. When I came in I was nt even acknowledge or told they were be right there to help me out. Another couple came in a few minutes after me and the first couple's order got done. So I thought they would acknowledge me first but surprise, surprise, this boy acknowledged this second couple first and started taking their orders before me. So I went up there and told them I was there first. This guy at the counter didn't even apologize. Finally, the Assistant Manager came out and started helping. Not happy with the way I was treated. Really disappointed. I just had an online order that was picked-up by someone else. Detailed as to the names of who each sandwich was for as well as requesting a side of cherry pepper relish on the side. Neither the names nor the side of relish was in my order. First visit to a Jersey Mike's ever...Ordered the Tuna regular sandwich...It was so and so....Not sure what the big deal is....Reminded me of Quiznos with their regular sandwich at irregularly high prices. Bad customer service experience as a first time visitor at this store location. I ordered the "Cali club" & everything turned out fine at the end except the bread they gave me was hard, crummy & flaky. I requested to get it remade again on a more softer type of bread & according to the staff; the only way to get the softer bread version is to request for "hot sub" or else they'll just randomly give you the baked bread. Doesn't make any sense why someone would request for "hot-sub" to get the softer type bread, if someone were to order a "cold-sub". In that case, might as well list the type of firmness of bread choice on the menu. Additionally, on the second remake of the "Cali club" the ingredients portion amount was obviously a lot less than previously, so now I've had it & just demanded to get my full refund as the staff behind the counter was just full of it; Especially the store supervisor: Alejandro, who I find to be a real Jack-hat prick P.O.S. for trying to hide behind the counter pretending like nothing was happening & trying to take-up for not correcting his crew staff, then tries to instigate a heated argument. Jersey Mikes Subs is one of the best sandwich restaurants I've ever been to! Everything is so great here. I love their turkey because it is so juicy and salty and just goes so well on a sandwich. I want to find out what kind it is so I can buy a lot of it and use it at home, it is that good! My usual order is the 6 inch white bread with turkey, no provolone, lettuce, pickles, onions, sometimes oil and vinegar, but what really sets this place apart is their chipotle mayo. Every time I go, I get this order and I never get sick of it... Sometimes I top it with the hot chili relish, and the finishing touch is the oregano blend on top. That first bite is like heaven, and every bite after that is still amazing! If I could eat this for lunch all of the time, I would! Amazing! read more

This review isn't about the food, it's about the service. It's a chain restaurant, I know what I'm buying. The food always tastes fine...when I actually get what I ordered. Even standing there telling them what I want, somehow it still varies every time. The meat and cheese quantity varies by who makes the sandwich. Twice in a row now, they put a bunch of oil on my sandwich when I asked for vinegar, so I end up having a pool of grease on the wrapping paper. One time, I even got a wheat bottom and a white top for the bread because the girl wasn't paying attention when assembling the sandwich. To top it all off, it's hard to even get to this point with the employees behind the counter. They all play a game of "not it" and run off, leaving one person to make the food. Once they're done, they often leave and you have to wait for someone else to ring you up. Other than one guy there, everyone else doesn't care enough to do their job properly. I love Jersey Mike's but I have to say truly disappointed! Worst customer service... My boyfriend and I stood in line for 5 minutes without any of the staff noticing we were in line, while two staff up front was cleaning the stove and the other assisting an online order...there was more staff working but they were in the back laughing and talking so loud they didn't care... Finally one of the staff took notice, the one cleaning the stove(Connor), and stopped from cleaning and apologized, he was sincere and understood we were waiting for sometime. I ordered my food and Connor called out someone from the back to assist prepping the sandwich... But no one showed up...Connor assisted the person behind us and then stopped from what he was doing to go in the back and get someone out front to assist finalizing our meal and we stood for another five minutes after hearing the kids goofing off in the back calming down and someone finally assisting us.... The guy who helped us, was not there if you know what I mean, he asked me two times what I wanted on my sandwich after telling him exactly what I wanted... I was getting very annoyed after waiting for so long... Finally after waiting sometime Connor apologized again, it wasn't his fault his staff wasn't on board but he was paying the price for it. I truly appreciated Connors customer service while for the rest of the staff just pretty much doesn't care of working there because after we finally sat down and ate there was a line out to the door and the staff was still all in the back with Connor out front ... The fact he kept having to go back to get his staff and then a few popped out and saw the line and said "oh shit" is where you really need to pick the people you hire... Not as good as previous times we've gone. Place was dirty (all tables had food on them; floor was not swept for hours). Sandwich was so-so. The young kids that work there need training and supervision as they kind of know what they're doing but need direction in keeping the restaurant clean.
