We were excited to try something in the old Ike's Location (a favorite- and part of daily existence for more than 10 years) and when the coupon for a BOGO came in the mail today, I rushed right over... It's bright and clean and fresh and new. The help seemed energetic and eager to please. With the meat slicing associates assistance, I ordered a big kahuna with the chipotle sauce for myself and a meatball cheese for my honey. I was asked if I wanted white or wheat bread. We BOTH only eat wheat and I was delighted for this option. I had my order rung up quickly and stepped aside to wait for my sandwiches. and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait through several patrons other orders... I saw a cook bring up one sandwich - the modified kahuna. and then I waited more and more... A woman and her daughter placed their orders and received their orders - the 'mom' stated that her sister owns some Jersey Mikes in CA - and apologized for the timing - she actually thought they might be re-making the first sandwich because the second sandwich was out of the preparation time norm... Shortly thereafter I scored two sandwiches in a bag with a service time apology by the bagger... I'm not a complainer but I did say - I hoped my sandwich was still going to be hot. Ok. So after a drive home and an eagerly awaited plowing into my sandwich - I settled into my desk and unwrapped the paper and foil wrapper. It was hot! BUT NEITHER SANDWICH WAS ON WHEAT!!!!!!!!!! aargh! Long wait and White bread aside --- let's see how this thing tastes... Tasty - but no big kahuna...Where were the onions, peppers and mushrooms? Extra meat - me thinks not - fake melted cheese - yes! faint taste of chipotle sure... My partner's reaction to his Meatball Cheese sandwich was,' let me eat yours' (which meant he wasn't loving it) - then he said it tasted like the equivalent of 'Campbell's soup'. Sure he's Italian - but he will eat anything! So needless to say I almost gave this a one star... but meh - I've experienced better pretty much summed this up. My hubby and I decided to try this place because my go-to favorite Frankie's was closed. I am from Philly, born and raised. Have been here for seven years. I do know a great sub or cheesesteak. Originally from Nj, I used to love Jersey Mikes subs, but once I moved away I could never find a store in the cities I lived in. So far these are the best subs in town of all the sub shops I have tried in Tucson. The meats are cut fresh to order and you get a nice size portion of meat, not like most places that skimp on the meats. Lettuce and tomato was fresh and crisp. Staff was very polite and friendly. Definitely worth trying, especially if you are from the northeast part of the US and know what a good sub should taste like. read more

They make some pretty good sandwiches here. They have good quality ingredients. They even cut the lunch meat the way you want it. You can alternate ingredients if you want. I don't like the bread they give you they need to upgrade their bread. It is very flimsy and falls apart. They also need to make french fries. cheese fries would be even better. If your going for a cheese steak I would recommend Frankie's or Luke's instead. Not that their cheese steak isn't good but not as good as other places. I went here a while back with my friend, it was actually the day they opened, I live exactly 2 minutes away from here and don't even look at it much these days. The sub I got was good but, for 8 bucks plus tax and only one vegetarian friendly option on the whole menu, I think I will personally pass. Absolutely love this store. It's near my house and I'm in there probably once a week. Good staff, great sandwiches. I have one question, until a few weeks ago when I paid with my debit card there was an option to leave a tip. I really liked this option as I rarely carry cash and your employees do a great job. The past few times this option was missing from the debit card check out. Is it possible to bring it back? If people don't want to leave tips that's fine, but having been a service worker in the past I know how important those tips can be and this was a much easier way to make sure I could show my appreciation. Good subs- fresh meat and bread, with some vinegar and spices. It hit the spot, although I still stole some of my husband's big kahuna. That's a sandwich, perverts. It's a yummy cheesteak with jalapenos, cheese, and bell peppers. So good! It was hot but not spicy which made me a happy camper. I'm somewhat of a sandwich snob because I make one everyday foe lunch, so a sandwich joint has got to step it up and offer something I can't already do at home...Well Jerseys Mikes did that and some. I got a sub "Mike's way" and it was impressive. The olive oil and herbs were amazing, so much so that with every bite I was trying to figure out the blend. The subs are huge, enough for two meals if your not starving but I couldn't stop eating. The bread was fluffy, which comes at a surprise since other sub spots just smash the bread. What a great experience. I had never been to Jersey Mike's, but by signing up for the email list, I received a coupon for a FREE sub and drink for my Birthday. Not a buy one get one free, or a drink with my meal, a FREE meal and drink. The coupon good for ONE YEAR from my birthday. Pretty great policy. The staff was friendly and professional, and the sub was AMAZING. All the meats and cheeses sliced to order, the lettuce crisp the tomatoes firm. Another "Welcome to Subway" assembly line sub shop. Staff was very friendly and polite, and the chicken Parmesan sandwich I ordered was ok but nothing I would write home about. The preformed breaded chicken patties used appeared to be precooked, and the tomato sauce was not that great. The melted provolone cheese on it was the best part of the sandwich. Which leads me to believe since the meats and cheeses are all freshly sliced, that I should have ordered a different sandwich that contained those meats and cheeses. I like this sub sandwich shop a lot. I have never tried a Jersey Mike's before and was skeptical. I had four tuna sandwiches in a period of 10 days as I was working nearby. Their tuna is top notch, as I am picky about it. Mike's way works on the Tuna as well. I did try two other sandwiches, the Club sub and the Super sub and they were very good - especially Mike's way. I did not try the cheesesteak as a previous reviewer below complained it wasn't a 'Philly'. I would save that for Frankie's. This is the best of the chain sub shops in my opinion. They have their own meats and breads and nothing is pre sliced, in fact, it's painful to watch them drag out every meat product, slice it and return it for every sandwich, but it works. read more

The staff at this location is so friendly. I work nearby so even though subs wouldn't usually be my go-to, I actually come here often because its close. I have heard them addressing other customers by name and asking them about specific things in their life, like a parent in the hospital. They clearly pay attention to the customer - great service! I get a pretty basic sandwich, so I can't swear that everything on the menu is delicious, but I just had a sub club that was tasty. Just having a nice experience with smiling people is enough to bring me back! read more

Went in to pick up an order. The surly worker at the counter LITERALLY threw my receipt at me and said, "Here's your receipt." I asked him if he threw receipts at everyone or just me - he said, "Naw." Don't really know what that meant, but I do know that I don't go back to places where I am treated poorly, and I let my friends know, too. Food was mediocre at best. 1st time here. I ordered the "Big Kahuna Cheesesteak" to go, when I got it, it felt incredibly light, so before opening it, I weighed the whole bag and it came to 3.91 ounces. For $8.38!!! then, when I DID open it, I realized that it was wrappen in FOIL! Bag, sandwich, AND foil came to under 4 ounces! No wonder they've been open so long, their food costs are next to zero!
