'Incredibly disappointing and overpriced!' I have personally ran restaurants and try very hard to be forgiving but this place is the reason sandwich shops fail. The prices are outrageous. They 'try' to claim the reason they are so great is that they make it on the premises and blah, blah, blah but no matter 'what' you do, you have to do it either 'cheaper' than the national chain of Subway or 'BETTER' than the national chains. Jersey Mike's Subs does neither. The store has a very appealing, clean and up to date visual appearance. The food is made boom fresh right in front of you. What shocks you to death is the end prices...! For TWO sandwich meals, we spent $37.00! Are you kidding me?! For clarity, these were dry sandwiches with lettuce, tomato and a few varied toppings. WAY overpriced. The management obviously has not struck a cord with purchases to make these prices competitive thus, they will fail. When you can purchase two TIMES the food at the local competing chain, this is a dud. Sadly, as much as I love to share positive recommendations, Jersey Mike's is a complete, financial exorbitant, wasteful gimmick. There isn't any competition to make you come back, if not for the price alone! The sandwiches were dry, unappealing and had practically zero flavor despite the robust and fresh ingredients. Most of my Doordash order was missing. When I called, they informed me that my sandwiches were still sitting there and I had to drive there if I wanted my food. If I wanted to drive there, I wouldn't have used Doordash. I was told it was not their problem and I should take it up with Doordash. It is not the driver's responsibility to make sure that you do your job. It is bad enough that you did not include $25 worth of food, but to then tell me it is my problem is deplorable. We are used to this store getting our orders wrong, but blowing off most of my order is a new low. Blowing off my concern and complaint is part of that new low. You should be ashamed. read more

Just like the Grant location of Jersey Mike's, I'm a huge fan of the Speedway location. We actually visited the Speedway location first (because it opened first), so it's this location that made us fall in love. Let's start with the food. Jersey Mike's bread is really good, and it's the base of the sandwich. It's got a bit of chew to it, but it's still soft and flavorful. It holds up really well the the ridiculous amounts of oil and vinegar they put on every single sandwich. There's one employee here that puts TONS and TONS of o/v, too! And while we're talking about oil and vinegar...YAY that a sub shop has it! It's no surprise that an east coast chain would, because a sub is not a sub with out O/V! I've been missing that here in Tucson. Italian dressing ISN'T THE SAME!!! The meats and cheeses are sliced fresh to order for each customer's sandwich, and while they're not Boars Head quality, they are definitely leagues above the plastic-like material that Subway tries to call food. They also don't skimp on their sandwiches. You get a pretty big and definitely filling sandwich at Jersey Mike's! I like to get the roast beef and turkey club without bacon (I'm not a bacon fan, please don't hurt me dear bacon-lovers of Yelp). It's just a tasty sub. It can get messy with the O/V, mayo, and huge pile of lettuce they put on their subs, but it's a satisfying sandwich! I also like to get the #7, turkey and provolone, but I sub the provolone for the white American cheese, which is really cheesy and creamy. They mainly use it for their cheesesteaks because it melts so well and tastes really rich and velvety with the steak (which itself is really yummy!). I also love their wraps. You can get a regular wrap that's kinda healthier, or you can make any of their sandwiches into a wrap. I like to get the turkey with honey mustard wrap when I'm trying to be good. The turkey has a good flavor and the honey mustard is a pretty good one, so it tastes awesome. Their tortillas are always really soft but a little chewy, just like they should be! Yum! My only complaint is that some employees don't know how to wrap them up well, and they can get a little messy. Not a huge deal. Then there's the employees. Like the Grant location, I love the employees at this location, too! They're so friendly and nice every single time we walk through the doors. They treat us like they truly value us. I've never been to a chain restaurant that has such awesome people working across their locations. It's a pleasure to be a regular at both of Tucson's Jersey Mike's locations! And the prices/atmosphere. Some people whine about the prices at Jersey Mike's (which I find to be fairly inexpensive), but this is not Subway. They're not serving you all "turkey-based" meat products that actually resemble wax or plastic. The food is a little bit better quality, and that's a perfectly good reason to pay an extra $0.50 for a big sandwich. And like I said, the prices aren't even high! The restaurant itself is kept up pretty well. Mostly clean tables and the bathrooms are always nice and tidy. No complaints here! Jersey Mike's is a real win to have in Tucson! read more

This location is constantly understaffed in the evenings. If you eat here, expect a wait and have some empathy for the people working. Our prepaid phone order was over 30 mins late due to insufficient. The young men working this evening deserve a raise and better treatment from their management. read more

What is not to love about JM? This location was no exception, and my wife and I stopped by to have some fresh deli after a mountain bike ride. She ordered a #7 and I had the #13 Mike's Way. Both were made fresh and to order, and the staff even delivered our sandwiches to our table...boom, 5 Star customer service there!! We had the combos, and our food, chips, and drinks were perfect!! Finally Tried Jersey Mike's Subs a few days ago. Oh my ! This place is so good it could become a habit! I Had the roast beef and provolone fixed Mike's Way, which is with various spices and juice and then I asked for a side of relish. The relish is undescribable I'm not sure it's my cup of tea, but it certainly is tasty! All This recommended by my oldest son, glad he recommended it. I visited Jesey Mike's on Speedway and Country Club at around 4:00 yesterday. I initially had a bad experience with bad tasting subs at another location in Tucson. I had my receipt and showed it to Ben, a wonderful attentive employee there. He and Adler who was also a wonderful attentive employee rectified the situation. They remade the subs which were great and totally worth the trip down there. They were both had a great demeanor and treated me with care and respect. Their should be more employees like them. If you are visiting their location I would highly recommend both the store and especially ask for either Ben or Adler. Great location and experience. I am a highly satisfied customer. I've been twice now to 2 different locations, and loved it both times. Service is super friendly. I had the chipotle chicken sub both times - I love it! It's so fabulously messy and juicy! Thin slivers of chicken, and the sauce is sooo good, and not too hot. You have a choice or white or wheat bread and the bread is super soft and stretchy! Get on the email list - you get a free birthday sub and drink and it doesn't expire for a whole year! read more

I just had to have my Philly fix tonight and once again I had to go with Jerzy Mike's! I lovethis place. I think the #56 Big Kahuna Cheese Steak Is the best Tucson! The only reason I even looked at places like Frankie's or East Coast is because Mike's doesn't have any real sides like cheese fries or pasta salad. I ordered online at 11am in preparation to pick it up and going to my training class at 12:15pm. I ordered Gluten free bread because I have celiac disease. I usually try to order in advance because there seems to be an issue quite often with the store running out of GF bread. I arrived at 11:40am and they were still working on my order. At 12pm I was told that they ran out of GF bread after I had already arrived and been waiting. I just don't understand how if I ordered online and was there they didn't just tell me?? I'm frustrated at this point with Jersey Mikes in general and just don't think I'm going to eat at any locations anymore, which is sad because they have the GF bread and I like the sandwiches. This Jersey Mike's was in terrible condition. My son worked at Mike's in Austin Texas for about a year that place was Immaculate the staff was friendly and inviting. This location was a mess and couldn't remember the order. They skimp on the meat .This place the counters were not clean they scraped the bread savings back into condiments! I love Jersey Mike's casual, bold subs. Even the regular would satisfy Chris Christie. The chipolte chicken is a monstrous concoction, hot from the grill and a gooey, satisfying mess of tender chicken, tangy peppers and jack cheese. The sub chefs pile it on, and while a Jersey Mike's sub ain't pretty, it will load you up to fight bears and will set you back less than $10. It doesn't hurt that the employees have never met a stranger and aim to put a smile on your face at no extra charge. read more

It's actually not the closest one to my house, but I will legit go out of the way to go there for my Jersey Mike's fix. It all has to do with the friendly crew of of Garrett, Billy, Sam and Damon. I went into Jersey Mike's on east Speedway in Tucson for the first time earlier this week & was wonderfully pleased. I had the cheesesteak, which was delicious. I also love that they have Luzianne tea, which made this the best restaurant iced tea I've ever had, no bitterness at all even though I had the unsweetened. Tonight was our first time to have Jersey Mike's. We went mainly to have the Gluten Free bread. Well, walking in we were greeted. Then asked what we wanted. We ordered 3 subs to go. The gf sandwich was taken off to made separately but wasn't asked if I wanted to add anything to the sandwich. The sandwiches made before ours involved vinegar & oil. Well, the board was partially wiped off & the bread of one of our sandwiches was set in the leftover oil & vinegar. Then our last sandwich was made & then picked up to wrap in the paper. At that point the end portion of vegetable toppings fell out, looked asst & then the sandwich was wrapped without readding the fallen toppings. Very strange feeling in the store. Like either this shift didn't work together often or they didn't work together well. We will not be returning to this location & will review the other Jersey Mike's before returning. read more

The ingredients were fresh and the bread was crazy. It was almost like I just got it from a baker. That is the way a subs bread should be. Total cost set me back 11.50 for meal + drink and chips. Was given a free cookie that was decadent for my first time visit. Service was great, it was either Rebecca or Rachel who helped me... (im terrible with names), but she was absolutely delightful. Very personable and kind with a nice smile. For the money I would say its worth it. If you are used to paying around the same at quiznos or subway then you shouldnt bat an eye. I note this on my order and the staff at this location always ensures that my food is in no way contaminated with my particular allergen. Don't ever buy a gift card from this company. Girlfriend bought me a $20 gift card,went to go use it and it had a zero balance. I had original receipt no one at restaurant had any clue on what to do about this. I contacted Corp office gave them all the receipt info they sent back email showing $ was loaded on another card and had been already used. After speaking with girlfriend she said it was a trainwreck when she bought card at Jersey Mike's. It took numourus people and multiple gift cards to get card loaded with $ took over 10 mins. Obviously $ was loaded onto another card. Sent Corp office this info. Now they are not responding to my emails x2. I have fallen in love with this place. The subs are to die for, and there is an enormous selection. I've had the best cheesesteak ever here. The Big Kahuna Cheesesteak is absolutely delicious. I add tomato and mayo. It's so good that I almost always get it when I go here, so I haven't tried some of their sandwiches. They prepare their own beef, so it's fresh and "real".
