Six new flavor collaborations coming in 2026

The best ice cream from the best cows if I do say so myself! ;) Thank you to the Nicholson Family for keeping the tradition of organic regenerative dairy farming alive!

I love the ice cream here. This place was recommended to us from a friend and I'm so glad we went to try it. The ice cream is so incredibly creamy. I love that the ice cream isn't too sweet as well. I highly recommend swinging by and giving it a try. We also got grilled cheese from here and that was also pretty good but the ice cream is the star.

    Baked goods!

Love, love, love this place! Always a stop when up in this area. Every ice cream flavor is great, but the strawberry is my favorite. You can also get some great baked goods here, sandwiches and even some soups. They have gifty items like shirts, jams and candy along with the ability to get fresh milk, eggs and meats. Staff is always very nice and kind. They also have the ability to sit down and enjoy things at some tables if you don't simply want to take it to go.

    Carmel and Danish Butter Cookie

First of all, I'm glad I didn't just go home, but somebody mentioned that I should stop by and try this place. I tried the caramel and danish butter cookie. The caramel one tasted like those little square candies you buy and Christmas. Both flavors were cool and thick and creamy. I will def be back to try some other flavor. The cashier was friendly and was super sweet about trying the flavors. Places to sit and eat and cute little gifts to purchase inside.

I do love a good local business and this place claims that award all around. We stopped in around lunch time and tried the Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Green Onions and it was pretty delicious. More so than I thought a grilled cheese could be. There was a variety of drinks in the cooler but I think the best part was indeed the ice cream. I echo the previous review in saying that the ice cream here is the creamiest ice cream I have ever had and it was so delicious and satisfying! I 110% recommend stopping in and tasting all the flavors. We will be back next time we come through town... or maybe sooner since it's only 15 minutes from Eureka.

The very best ice cream and local foods. It is run and owned by two of the most business savvy guys I have run across in Humboldt County.

Parking is plentiful and the location makes it convenient to grab from downtown. My favorite part of the menu was that fact that you can order a flight of ice cream, which are priced at $6 for 4 scoops or $11.50 for 8 scoops. It's a GREAT way to have customers try different flavors without overwhelming the sample spoons (PS I don't think this place does samples). I ordered a 4 flight of Mango Habanero, Chocolate Hazelnut, Dream Sweet Cream, and Cherry. The Mango Habanero had a good occasional kick of habaneros in an otherwise sweet ice cream. The chocolate hazelnut was dark but not very nutty - I think it's a safe pick. The sweet cream tasted like a mcdonald's ice cream cone (but perhaps healthier), and the cherry flavor can be avoided as it didn't taste like anything close to cherry. The line was a little slower than expected, but the pricing is very fair, especially for the flights. Service was friendly, and I think their menu changes some flavors ever so often.

Service was quick. I was trying to order two cones because my partner was in the car but she assumed I was getting one, when I came back in to order mine she was assisting in the laundromat side and asked "What happened to the other one?" when I approached her again for assistance and didn't reply when I said the previous one I ordered was for my partner. I said "Can I get a WAFFLE cone with 1 scoop of rocky road?" and she still grabbed the cheaper kids cone. When she rung me up a second time she said "You should learn how to carry cash." after I already said I didn't care or mind the card / tap to pay fee. Personally, I'm just not a huge fan of the sarcastic atmosphere and it felt unprofessional and uninviting. If you love that type of humor, no problem.

My two older kids were starving and while we walked through town, we found Ferndale Meat Co . and saw that they sold sandwiches. Prices were great - $9 for a whole, $6 for half sandwich. There is also a dining area adjacent to the area where you order, and it has a ton of pictures of award winning livestock, and it's where the restroom is located. In addition to sandwiches, they also sell sausages and butchered meat by the pound. They also have a basket with little bags of Ferndale sand for sale. Hahaha We picked up 2 order forms, filled them out and gave it to the employee. Not sure how they run their business, but it wasn't very busy, and it didn't seem like anyone was really working. OMG, it took about 45 min to get the sandwiches. Once we got them and the boys sat down to eat them, we realized that the sandwiches were made wrong. They were both supposed to be hot sandwiches and they both were cold. My oldest son's sandwich was missing the pickles. But he was so hungry he didn't send it back to get fixed. My middle son's sandwich was supposed to have mustard, and no mayo, but he got mayo no mustard. I had to go back a couple times with the order ticket to show the lady what we actually ordered and for her to warm the sandwich. She apologized and offered to make a brand new one, but at this point we had already waited so long we said it was fine and just asked for a side of mustard so that he could put it in the sandwich. I am really disappointed with this experience at Ferndale Meat Co., I can't believe it took so long to get our entire order made wrong. It's a freaking sandwich, how hard could it be? Fun fact, Guy Fieri used to live in Ferndale and currently owns the Ferndale Meat building.
