These donuts are probably in the top 5 donuts I've ever had and I seek out donuts wherever I go. My husband and I shared Browned Butter Caramel, Pineapple Guava, Raspberry, and Huckleberry Donuts. They were all fantastic. You really can't go wrong, but the berry ones were my favorite. The Pineapple Guava was a unique flavor that I enjoyed. This place is a local favorite and is definitely one of mine:) Everything on their menu is farm-fresh and made to order- you can't really go wrong with anything you order from here. The owners and employees are super friendly and accommodating. An added perk is all of thelocally sourced artwork,, with much of the items available for purchase. How did I not know this place was here?! It's entrance and signage is humble, so I'm gonna go with that. Not a stand-out look, but definitely a stand-out place! First thing to know: they sell farm fresh produce as well as various canned/bottled drinks and snacks. The breakfast menu looks pretty good, but in addition to the printed menu, there is a handwritten chalkboard menu (the secret menu!) with all of the daily specials. And there are many! I learned that they will customize sandwiches and salads to satisfy whatever you want. When I arrived, a gentleman approached me and asked if I would like to see a menu, and then realizing I have not been there before, took the time to explain the menu and the additional items that were on the board and I really appreciated his help and kindness. I chose the trainwreck breakfast burrito and asked if they could cut it in half since I would be sharing and they were very happy to do so and without my having asked, even wrapped the two halves separately which was very thoughtful and helpful. This burrito has hash brown potatoes, country gravy, American cheese, bacon, and scrambled egg on it, and was very large and quite delicious. The house made donuts greet you at eye level on the counter (devious marketing ) so they could not be resisted. I ordered three of those, a bacon/maple, a chocolate, and a blackberry. These are raised donuts, almost crueller-like and absolutely beautiful. The chocolate glazed didn't do much for me - (seemed to be missing something in the glaze today; sugar maybe?), but I found both the bacon/maple and blackberry to be some of the best donuts I've had. McIntosh Farm Country Store is what I would call a national treasure. Yelppers did well by highly recommending this place. What you should know: 1) There is both a regular and (not so) secret menu offering something for everyone. Portions are generous and some items like their Train Wreck breakfast sandwich are big enough to share. I mentioned I was a first timer and was looking for something less filling. They recommended the "Mini-Man" and that was perfect. 2) Value. Menu items are reasonably priced considering the portion sizes. 3) They have coffee and a full line of espresso drinks. The mocha they made for me hit the spot! 4) I was greeted by a nice fellow and explained that I was passing through town, He took time to suggest something that I was able to finish. So glad this little gem is near our hotel. We went in to try the homemade donuts and I will say they are truly delicious. We tried the fruit flavored donuts- huckleberry, blackberry, raspberry and strawberry- our favorite is raspberry but they are honestly all delicious. The service is great and they are super friendly. They also have a breakfast menu, but we just went in to grab donuts, I'm sure everything is delicious though. The restaurant is super cute, lots of indoor seating, tons of drink options too. We absolutely loved it and would recommend to anyone in the area. Updating your add that on our way out we ordered breakfast sandwiches with over medium eggs, bacon and American cheese and they were seriously the best. Food is fantastic, got the biscuits and gravy and it was HUGE and honestly incredible. Large sausage chunks in the gravy which I think make it next level. The service is friendly and fast. We got our food minutes after we ordered with a friendly face hanging it to us. Space for kids to play but also to not be around the craziness of kiddos if that's not your speed. Food: The food seem to be great, and quite fulfilling too. I've ordered one of the breakfast meals. Service: The service was kind of lacking. The cashier were basically cashiers only. Anything in the front that needed to be cleaned in the front was, not ever touched, the 30 minutes or so that I was there, it was always someone from the back, or the cook that had to well, do everything. The place does not accept electronic tip, ever, and the receipts are left in a long line dangling onto the ground as the cashier is ringing people up. It felt like the cashiers were asking for tips just standing there while the people in the back and cooks had to do extra work. Ambiance: How does seeing a bunch of these flies flying around between the cashier, a portion of the area you are eating, and towards the bathroom in the back sound when it comes to ambiance? The place was full of these old pictures, and had some nice pumpkins... but it was all derailed because... I had to move myself in a spot where flies weren't all over the place while I wanted to enjoy my meal (and the only spot that was decent was near the door that was always open.) There is no outdoor seating arrangement. It grossed me enough about midway through the meal that I kind of just decided to leave and go back to campus. It was... just... gross. Some people like to say that having a potential fly in your meal is free protein... but not this way. read more

This is an awesome no-frills local eatery serving up delicious food and neighborhood charm. The walls are filled with historic photos of the family and the area which was really neat to look at. They sell local goods like jewelry and honey. They also offer local foods on their menu and lots of options. At first, I was a little overwhelmed with all of the options, but it really is just customizing your meal to exactly how you'd like. I ordered a egg muffin with bacon and an over-easy egg and it was damn good. Their bacon is so delicious and having an over easy egg muffin was such a treat. My boyfriend ordered a grass-fed burger, and once I got a taste, I had to get a few more bites. Such great flavor on the burger. The main reason I actually came here was because I saw they had huckleberry donuts. I'm a big huckleberry fan from SoCal so huckleberry is a treat, and this donut did not disappoint! Came up upon this spot for breakfast. Had the train wreck. Was actually pretty hearty and good tasting. The latte my husband had was ok. Obviously not a place for coffee. I ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice. Now that OJ was so delicious and refreshing. They must of had the sweetest oranges to squeeze‼ Now let's get to the their fresh homemade donuts. I visited the McIntosh Farm Country Store for breakfast one morning. You order your breakfast food at the register, pay for it, then find a seat, and they make your breakfast - and come find you to deliver it. The place was really busy the weekday morning I visited. I got in line and then ordered the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito and coffee. The food came up in less than 10 minutes. I added some hot sauce to the Burrito (they have a reasonable selection of hot sauces - see attached pic). The Burrito itself was excellent, and the hot coffee was strong and delicious! I drove out of my way to stop by this place for a breakfast burrito because I wanted to support a local restaurant and have some freshly made food. The ordering experience was good, I got to customize my breakfast burrito with various options on a sheet of paper. When I received my burrito, it was quite large. While eating it, it was fine. Nothing really stood out, not enough salsa, but it was fine. This day was my journey back to Los Angeles, so during hour 3 of driving on this first 5 hour leg drive to SF, I got a stomach ache so I had to stop at a random gas station off the 101. Stomach aches, and frequent stops to the restroom occurred for the rest of my day on the way back to Los Angeles. How do I know this place caused it?
