The lady was rude at the register, she was getting rude / sarcastic over calling a WAFFLE cone just a "cone" while pointing to the waffle cone I wanted, regardless if she was joking or not she lacked a smile or clarification, I haven't been there since I was a child so I wasn't a regular to understand if she was being rude or making a sarcastic joke. She didn't let my friend get her order in without interrupting her or trying to sound like she was right about the cone name even though when my friend ordered she said cone and meant the one the lady had previously told me a cone. I was trying to order two cones because my partner was in the car but she assumed I was getting one, when I came back in to order mine she was assisting in the laundromat side and asked "What happened to the other one?" when I approached her again for assistance and didn't reply when I said the previous one I ordered was for my partner. I said "Can I get a WAFFLE cone with 1 scoop of rocky road?" and she still grabbed the cheaper kids cone. When she rung me up a second time she said "You should learn how to carry cash." after I already said I didn't care or mind the card / tap to pay fee. Personally, I'm just not a huge fan of the sarcastic atmosphere and it felt unprofessional and uninviting. If you love that type of humor, no problem. read more

This place is AWSOME! The cashier was really nice even though she had to deal with some extremely rude customers. I couldn't believe the way that guy was laying into her because a couple of video games weren't working. The repair man was there working on the games at the time and allowing the children to pick their own toys out of the toy crane machine while he worked on it. She didn't deserve his rudeness. We've always had a good experience coming here. You get more than you pay for and that's hard to find these days! read more

Slightly off the beaten path, but pleasantly surprised when we had a craving for something sweet. Looking for ice cream, we were happy to find this spot, which had about a dozen different flavors of ice cream, served in cups, cones, or ice cream sandwiches. Past the ice cream and other things like "infused Red Bulls" ... this place has a pool table and a bunch of video games to keep munchkins occupied. The games are all powered-off, but we were told if we want to play, just let them know and they will flip them on. Just basic "saving electricity" practices. Could be a poppin' spot at the right time, but we were lucky enough to catch a lull and had the place to ourselves and relax. Check it out if you have a sweet tooth and munchkins with you. read more

Broken/off game machines and rude service. We brought kids here for a birthday party and one of our kids put money in a machine that wasn't turned on. He's seven and didn't understand that it was off. They refused to refund the money and were extremely rude. Other games were broken and just ate the quarters. No accountability. Poor service. Come here if you want disappointed kids. read more

Went here for dinner last night! It kind of a hidden spot and soon to be a big hit in McK. sense the options for food in this area are quite slim to start. Very casual fun place, with video arcade games. Someone was hosting a birthday party there last night. Very friendly customer service. The sandwiches where excellent. Not enough options for toppings I would have preferred some, shredded carrot, cilantro, and maybe some cabbage. But for 5.00 each I cannot complain! I wish I would have asked if the meat was local....(?) The ice cream was really good, I am also wondering now if that was local Humboldt Creamery ice cream? Great choice if you are in McK! read more

If i could give no stars i would. The elderly woman that works there ( sorry no name tag) was absolutely rude. My son was turning 6 and I took him here with his baby sister, my adult mom, sister, her husband, and my dad. They brought two presents. We all bought food, ice cream, drinks, and used $20 in quarters in their machines. The elderly lady walked up to me and said are you having a party here? I told her" no not really." I mean it's two kids and four adults. I'd hardly consider that a party. She said "well we don't do that here if people see you they will want to do it to." So she had me take my sons presets to the car. As we were leaving my mom asked " so u don't do party's here anymore?" She told my mom "no, we do. But you have to book it" my mom asked if they charge for it. The lady told her no. So all that being said. We still tipped with every purchase we made before and after her rudeness. I only mention that because i would like you to know we weren't rude we were cleaning up after our self's and the kids and being normal reasonable people. As we should. So I don't think we deserved her horrible additive at all. Not to mention I waited 15 minutes at the counter in an empty shop for anyone to even show up to take my order. The fact that she was so rude and giving dirty looks the whole time was just over kill. They didn't have a lot of things they sell. "Chocolate dipped cones, cones with sprinkles, chili, and the waffle cones they did have were soft. She's telling us that there's no charge for party's. Somehow everyone would know we didn't let them know in advance. Two kids. Two presents are unacceptable. My son opened his presents in my tiny Prius in the parking lot. Mind you there was several people that came in with kids that bought one thing or nothing, brought in little baskets with toys and just let their kids play on all the machines and hit the machines and be rough with them . They didn't even stick quarters in. Which I don't mind. Not everyone wants to waste their money and some don't have it. H**l I didn't have the money to spend either. I just don't see why it was necessary for her to act the way she did. Me and my family will not be returning to this establishment again. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. This place has a real homie feel, but the costumer service wasn't there. At the end of us finishing up our food, we are asked if we are apart of a party and if not to move. Could of put a sign that says reserved for a party for a better result. It's like saying you're at dinner, still eating at your table then asked to hurry up and move for someone else. Great lil hidden spot for ice cream. Place is super clean, staff is really friendly...Have never had a bad experience or waited longer then a few minutes to get some sorbet or sherbert. I've heard their ice cream sundaes are rwally good too...i Dont do ice cream but they quench my sweet spot! The best arcade games anywhere! Happy helpful service with real Dryers ice cream and a great place to do laundry too! I never get bored here, and the place is very family friendly, with plenty of stuff for kids to do while you wait for your laundry. There's also always someone supervising the machines, which is nice. Terrific idea to serve lunch at a laundromat, really a cool place overall. Did I mention it is clean? We had an event here today, 2/9/2019, and it was possibly the worst experience using a venue that I've ever had. We booked over a month ago, but to our surprise, they double booked today with an hour overlap. When we inquired about what was going on, the lady behind the counter literally said to us: "This isn't our fault and you'll just have to deal with it." They then took half of the space away from the other party to give it to us, which enraged the other party and caused them to be very belligerent towards us. We couldn't finish setting up until after when our party was supposed to start, and had to deal with both the staff and the previous party being extremely rude. I would never book here again. They have a pool table and video games for kids. They also have a bunch of board games. It's a great place to go. We have been here many times. read more

Been here four times, and only managed to be served once because they were closed early all the other times. Today they closed an hour and twenty minutes early. On a Saturday! I came here for food because I had seen good reviews on Facebook or somewhere...I saw they served soup and sandwiches but couldn't find an actual menu anywhere. I show up and ask what kind of soup they have, they tell me chicken. I tell her I'm a vegetarian so I will pass on the soup, what else do you have? She says hot dogs. Thanks but no thanks. On the menu it says build your own panini so I ask for one of those. They tell me they only have ham because someone didn't make it to the grocery store today. (It takes about 2 minutes to drive to Safeway from here) so I ask can I just get a panini without ham, I would be fine with just lettuce and tomato I just need some food. She says no but we have grilled cheese. I decided to go elsewhere since I like choosing my food instead of having it chosen for me. And they serve Dreyers. read more

I finally tried the Sweet Spot the other day with my 4 yr old. The woman working was friendly and service was quick. Ice cream was standard Breyers or Dreyers, about 10-15 different flavors. The space is big, and kind of reminds me of a bar because it has dark floors, a pool table in the middle of the room and arcade games. I actually didn't like the arcade games because they were mostly violent and my son wanted to play them, but couldn't reach any of the controls (which was good to me, but frustrating to hear my son complain about it). I think this would be a good spot to bring older kids after school. read more

I've been here once before and thought it was ok--especially considering it is something within walking distance. Tonight, however, we went to visit them as a treat for my child..but they were closed. The sign listing hours said they should have been open until 9 (it was 7), and there was no sign indicating a reason for being closed. It led to a very disappointed young one. Maybe next time we'll drive into Arcata instead. read more
