My hubby and I once had a bad experience at Jessica's about 10 years ago. We were seated and given our coffee then didnt see anyone after that. I guess we were invisible. We walked out. We had not been back since until this past weekend. Our anniversary and we wanted someplace close to home. We got seated and given menus..and they poured our coffee. Then....we waited for 15 mins. A nice gentleman at the next table noticed and said something to the manager for us as he was leaving. He too waited a very long time to get his bill and finally just went to the register without one. The manager sent a waitress over for us. Gave it another try because had gift cards. The food is what you would expect from family restaurant with a huge menu. Food mostly tasteless with very little to no seasoning/flavoring, probably just frozen microwaved food supply. This time had Chicken ala King: good sized serving with lots of chicken and biscuits but NO TASTE. French onion soup no taste except cheese. She had southwestern grilled cheese and loved it, would order again. Of course the raspberry jello is one of the best sides/desserts we have ever had. Prices are a little high for the average or below food quality. Don't order any extra sides the prices are jacked up enormously. In past had meatloaf and it was horrible, burgers and pork chops slightly below average. Service by waitress was great except did not advise cheese on soup was $1 extra. Paid with gift card and cash, lady at register might of been trying to scam me out of dollar. She said gift card was 18.62 left but I had printout from last visit showing 19.62. She did make it right and asked if I wanted a dollar back. I would not return unless for breakfast. Other food is hot/miss, mostly miss on taste and value. I've been here a few times and I am almost always disappointed. service was terrible at best. as a server myself, I understand busy days, off days, and a slow kitchen... I was disappointed to see our server being attentive to her two other tables, but walking by our table with dishes at the end of the table, empty mugs at the edge of table...I'm going to assume only because we are in hoodies and aren't dressed like we just left church. Went to Jessica's on Tuesday night and had the Hearty Breakfast, which is 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, potatoes, and 1 biscuit and gravy. I have been to Jessica's many times and have always had good luck with their breakfast food. This time was no different. The food is good but nothing spectacular as was the case this time. The service has always been good and I have never had a bad server. All in all its a good place to go if you're looking for a decent meal but it's nothing that will blow you away. read more

Food is always great- Large menu for variety but sometimes overwhelming. Jessica's is a great place to take the family. Casual atmosphere is good for get togethers. Blonde server named Cindy tends to yell across the restaurant at other servers. Makes for an awkward time. Hostess was nice,food good,a little high but reasonable. Was not impressed by the waitress. She did not greet us for 10 minutes and when she finally did come to the table she held her pad and pen and just said ok. Did not say hello ,took order,brought the food and did not see her til she left the bill. The bus boy checked on us twice and was more helpful bringing me another fork and a to go box. Review score of one star may be misleading, because food was good, staff was friendly and the entire staff appeared to be working well as a team on a busy Sunday morning. So the reason for only one star is multiple staff meme era chewing gum. Pretty certain this is a good safety no no. New to the area we decided to try this place. My husband loves that they serve breakfast all day so he tried their french toast. He never eats everything and this time his plate was empty. I decided to try their Chicken Pesto Panini. One bite and I was in love. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. I loved the combination of the red onions, sauté mushrooms and the avocado. I stopped here for breakfast a few mornings ago when I had a break during work and I was hungry. I had heard different opinions of this place and decided to see for myself. I was very disappointed, to say the least. When I was there, it was not busy, so staff were not overwhelmed with customers. My waitress, although pleasant, barely spoke to me. When she brought my food out, she set it on the table and said "here you go" and walked away immediately without asking if I needed anything else, much less giving me time to ask her. I needed ketchup, and waited for her to return to check on me, which she did not. I finally had to get up and go to another table and beg to use their ketchup for my food. My waitress never returned to my table except to put my check down. To be honest, I received more attention from the bus boy who kept my water glass filled. The food itself was unimpressive. The "American potatoes" were not even homemade. They quite obviously came from a frozen bag of store bought potatoes. The bacon was quite good. I would never eat here again. Been eating here for 15 years and keep coming back. Like many reviewers point out, this a good place for an above-average meal but not 5-Star. I give it 4 Stars rather than three because it is better than most similar restaurants in the area. It has always been clean, with a friendly staff, and they sell fresh-baked breads to go! Someone rated them a 1-Star because employees were chewing gum--that did not seem like a relevant review or an appropriate rating for a place he admits has good food and service, so my 4-Star rating will offset his 1-Star, I hope. If half-stars were available I'd give it 3.5 Stars, but for this area it is decent food, good service, clean, and open good hours. I've never seen roaches there but if I did the rating would drop to 2 and never go back. read more

Every time I go here I am not disappointed. I usually go for breakfast but have gone for dinner and had one of their salads which had fresh vegetables and fruit and the chicken was good on top. Another time I had a wrap of some sort and it was tasty. My daughter had a steak their once and she said it was not good though.
