Was having frequent back ups. Snaked the pipes, hydrojet. Finally dug out the drain and placed a two way. They used a camera and found the culprit. A long thin metal pipe was bent in the line. I needed a kitchen faucet replaced and the guys from Jet Drain did a great job to replace it. There was some corrosion with my old faucet (why I couldn't do it myself), but they were able to cut out the old faucet and install the new one. Only negative is on the day and time they were supposed to come, no one showed up or called. When I called the main number they said they had an emergency job so would have to come later in the day. However, I wish they at least called me and told me (they are running late and would be at my house at this time)instead of me having to wonder where they are. Had these folks come out and do an estimate (Los Angeles area) on an exceedingly simple project. Move a gas line 15 feet. This is under the house work, parts would run under 100$ (I know because I had somebody else do the work) Turn off gas, cut the line, add an elbow, add a flex line, drill a hole from under the house (All push fitting, didn't even need to solder anything) and run the pipe into the kitchen, and re-connect the stove, and put a plug in the old kitchen fitting. These folks came out, looked at the work and quoted a price of $1200 to $1600, I asked why so much, and they responded two men, all day. He went on to explain that they were "licensed and bonded so that is why they cost more" Total, my guess estimate was that this was about 4 hours of work, and should come in under $500 or so at the top of the range. I couldn't get rid of these people fast enough; they must have thought I looked stupid. In any case, with a little more research (using the Nextdoor neighborhood app) I found a local, Licensed, and bonded, plumber to do the same work at $500, and was happy to pay him for his honesty. Took about 4 hours, and he was done. In short, this company treats customers as if they are stupid, although they are VERY nice and professional, from the moment they meet you, no excuse for this kind of estimate, a complete and total rip-off, you will pay double or triple what you should. Shame on these people, scamming you with a smile. read more

So here we go again...same issue. Bathrooms both flooded on Monday, President's day. Called Jet Drain and they were able to send someone to snake the clean out late in the day. Very pleased. Fast forward to Thursday, and we get flooded again! Same nice young man comes out to snake the clean out, and suggests we do a camera inspection. Great! Problem is a our clean out comes to a T and would not allow the camera to go through. A clean out replacement was suggested, that will include a camera inspection and a credit for the service call on Monday. We scheduled the clean out replacement for Saturday, and Jet Drain sends Gilbert and Raymond, who went above and beyond, and did an excellent job despite all the unforeseen challenges - they got the job done. After seeing all the high ratings for Jet Drain on Yelp, I found out that they're there for a reason...or, after my awesome experience, more than just one. I called them for preventive maintenance after getting a huge bird-of-paradise plant removed from my yard and wanted to know if I should get the pipes inspected and cleared. James came out right away and instead of just doing the job and charging me for it, he actually took the time to open the lid to the clean out, had me run water in the house, showed me that it was flowing freely and told me that he'd do the job if I wanted, but that since the pipes were obviously still open that I could get by without having it done. I requested this company to install a steam shower unit and controller in my shower. No build out was required because the shower was already setup with piping and wiring. This was only to install the replacement unit which involved connecting a few wires to the controller, placing the unit (2ft by2ft unit) in the attic, connecting to a few wires and plug in. No parts needed to be ordered and the labor time is about an hour. I know this because I had a plumber to do it a few years ago when the previous unit broke. This company quoted me $1650.00 for labor cost for an hour worth of work! Last time I paid to have this done it was $187.00. This company is a joke and has no idea what they are doing. When the guy came out to evaluate the work he said that he has never done it before so wasn't sure how much it would cost. They should have just told me they cannot do the work since they don't know how, instead of quoting me an absurd amount of money. Do not waste your time. read more
