My life has forever been changed. I walked in the door hungry, tired, and yearning for a life-changing experience. Our party was greeted by a delightful staff who liven up the small yet cozy diner. If you want any kind of comfort food, Salisa's is the place to be. It was a pumpkin french toast, polish sausage, home fries blur. Every bite was better than the last. I wanted to take a picture of the food before I devoured, but you couldn't pry the fork from my hands once I started on my culinary journey. We recommend anything on the menu - you will not be disappointed. Do not come here if you hate happiness, joy, and a full belly.

Dirty disgusting bottle of hot sauce

Decided to try a new restaurant in the area. When we walked in it was small and cozy and homie. There was absolutely no wait for seating. We sat at the counter, which was nice. We got our drinks right away and our order was taken in a timely manner. They even gave us a complementary plate of fruit because they were celebrating their one year anniversary. Then it went downhill. We ordered an omelette and an egg dish with bacon on the side and a coffee and an orange juice. The food came out in a relatively timely manner, considering the restaurant was full. But we were missing an order of bacon and one of the orders got the wrong toast. The orange juice wasn't orange juice, but an orange juice blend in a ridiculously small bottle. The waitress never came by to ask us how everything was so I never got the chance to let her know that we were missing a bacon order and we got the wrong toast. The food was mediocre nothing special. And to top it off when we asked for hot sauce, we got the most disgusting, dirty, greasy crusty bottle you could ever imagine. And not only that it was missing its cap. That just shows me that the restaurant doesn't take its cleanness very serious. I included a picture of the hot sauce bottle. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant.

Eggs toast and sausage! Home fries!

I came here for a solo breakfast on a Sunday morning and loved every part of it. It's a simple diner, so I was looking for the essentials; eggs, toast and homefries with a protein. For 8.99, you get exactly that (choice of sausage, bacon or ham) and a coffee. I sat at the diner bar and they had things pretty spaced out, which was comfortable in a COVID era world and dining indoors. Service was very personable. The food was delicious. Potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside without being burnt, but nice and soft on the inside. A+ homefries. Eggs were perfectly over easy and although the sausage was just typical diner sausage (nothing too special), it was delicious. If you're looking for breakfast or lunch food, check out Salisa's for sure. I would definitely love to come back at some point for more breakfast-y diner food!

Divey little roadside diner that offers up genius portions of tasty homemade comfort food. We stopped in and sampled the turkey plate lunch along with the chicken and biscuits specials. While the turkey plate was good. The stuffing was homemade with lots of soft breading and chunks of veggies; just like your grandma would make. The green beans where perfectly seasoned and strongly reminded me of my grandmas canned beans; my favorite. The turkey, and potatoes where good, needed just a touch of s&p Now to get down to the star of the show. Those chicken & biscuits. Imagine delicious pot pie filling with a generous amount of shredded chicken mixed in, sitting on top of homemade biscuits. A deconstructed pot pie with tender veggies and packed with flavor. Service was quick and friendly. It's the type of establishment your grandparents frequent for dinner, and everyone seems to know each other. Portions are enough to share. Highly suggest giving this hole in the wall a try!

Polish sausage omelet and corned beef hash. Delicious. This is why we keep coming back.....

Coming into this place I immediately noticed three occurrences of a sign showing "no outside food or drink". Do they really have a huge problem to warrant signs like that?! There's a very small dining room here with just a few booths and a few rows of tables connected together. You don't get much privacy, and anything you discuss can be heard by your neighbors. I noticed the menu had quite a few items on it, though for a small old diner, I expected lower prices. You're not going to get a cheap breakfast here like some of the diners downtown. Some of their dishes, like sandwiches, come with a small bag of Lays potato chips--I really find that cheesy. Why not just offer French fries with them? I can buy a bag of Lays at 7-Eleven! They actually have beer on tap at this diner, Molson Canadian or Sam Adams Oktoberfest. The server was pleasant and told us about the Friday Fish Fry special, $10.50 for haddock (battered or grilled), three salads of your choice, and choice of potato (baked, mashed, or fries). It was only 5:00pm and the server said they were already out of mac and cheese, so we went for the only other choices: coleslaw, potato salad, and macaroni salad. They gave the two of us two slices of Italian bread with butter before our entrees came. After about 20 minutes, the entrees came out. The fries were cooked a bit too long for me, they are the standard crinkle cut frozen variety. The fish we ordered was beer battered and tasted good with not a lot of batter. However, the size of the salads on the plate are about the size of an ice cream scoop, I expected a bit more. The macaroni tasted like tuna was in it, not a fan, and wish I knew ahead of time. The coleslaw was not bad, but the potato salad tasted very bland. Our server wasn't around as much as we would have liked. We noticed another server was tending to other tables a bit better and we asked her about the name of the place. She said it was named after the first names of the owners, Sal and Lisa--interesting!

Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! This was a great experience, I can see why they have so many reviews and such high stars, those are well-deserved stars!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!

We ordered two flavors of non-Buffalo boneless: hot honey and dr pepper char-bq, and a side of onion rings. I had soda, hubs had a cocktail of which I tried a sip. My favorite part of dinner was the cocktail; if I hadn't been designated driver I would have enjoyed having this. I can't remember which one it was, but it was my kind of cocktail; very fruity, somewhat sweet. Not fancy-schmancy but tasting very good. The onion rings were the breaded kind rather than the crispy bread crumb kind, they were fine but not standout. The wings... eh. I am a big fan of Plucker's Dr. Pepper BBQ wings but I didn't love these. The char taste was actually overpowering and I expected a bit more sweet to the sauce than it had. The hot honey was also charry and not super sweet. It was all fine, but not something I would crave. The place has a cute casual ambience and our food came out fast, there wasn't a crowd though on the weeknight we were there. I'd come either to drink or because friends really wanted to but otherwise I probably wouldn't request it. But, like I said, I'm not a tabasco fan so I couldn't partake in what they are known for and what they (probably) do best, so I don't say this to discourage others - mainly just so I remember my own opinions.

When we arrived there was a sheet of paper that you were supposed to put your name on along with how many people are in your party. We found it peculiar, especially as the list continued to grow thus quickly wasting paper, as the hostess didn't even glance at it as she looked right at us and whispered "for 3?" She led us to a booth and whispered a few more things under the din of other customers as she handed off some menus. We ordered beverages from our waitress. I got water, which comes with a slice of lemon and melting ice (I routinely kept mopping under my glass as it sweat) and a refill that was offered once my plate was clear. My friend went for coffee, which came in a disposable cup as there was a backlog on doing dishes. She was promised a real cup that never got delivered. It enabled her to pour a second cup to go, as she had left the small pot with a handful of creamer and much needed sugar, as the coffee was what she described as awful tasting. Mom wanted Pepsi, but this is a Coke establishment. I had studied the menu online in preparation for coming. Despite having chosen the correct location, the offerings do not match up. I knew I wanted pancakes, and online they offer stacks of double berry banana pancakes without having to get a slam. That is not the case dining in. On the breakfast sides menu, there is a two cake plate, and I asked if I could add berries, which I was denied, despite both the website and the Amherst location allowing me to customize them at an additional cost. It came with a mound of butter on top that I pushed to the side in favor of using a packet of strawberry jam. Wasn't genius, but at that price, I wasn't expecting much. Mom and my friend both went for bigger portions. The omelet looked great, and she even enjoyed the included mushrooms (which given her tastebuds is a welcome surprise) that came with. They both ordered rye as their chosen toast. Mom was given white and my friend was given mostly untoasted bread. Neither complained about their eggs, though neither sang their praises either, because when it comes down to it, you're here for the prices, not the quality or wait time. The to go containers aren't the most stable, and the bathroom has flies and no seat protectors left. They do however have the advantage of the AARP discount, which sadly may be the only reason they'll be back. Me, I think I'll sit next round out.
