Pleasant Surprise - Not what I expected I was originally going to try Natural Chicken Grill next door for some Latin Chicken but alas sign on the door says Kabab Grill coming soon. Guess I won't get a chance to try that one out. Jet's Pizza was next door and they posted a lunch special of two slices or pizza with a drink for $5.00. Normally I stay away from the National Chains when I'm ordering for myself but I decided to give them a try anyway since I needed to be back to the office shortly. Ordered the lunch special and told her pepperoni would be OK and sat down. Expected the pizza to be premade and on a warming tray but after 10 minutes came and went, I realized that they were actually cooking it. Came out the the two slices were deep dish. I used to love the deep dish pizza at Domino's because of all of the butter they used to coat the pan. Same thing here. Great buttery taste, plenty of cheese and very good. Main difference was this was square while the other was cut into wedges. Not fancy but more than ample for a relatively quick lunch.

Worst customer service EVER. Don't waste your time, get a frozen pizza and call it good.

We just moved to the area from Philly. We love the 8 corner deep dish pepperoni pizza.

Sandwich was good but pizza was cold. Waited an hour for delivery. Won't order delivery again.

Pretty good pizza if you like pizza hut, the deep dish pizza tastes almost the same but Jets is probably fresher .

You won't find that anywhere in North Carolina, and Davino's isn't trying to be that. What it is? The best pizza in the Lake Norman area. This perfect little hole-in-the-wall has great specials and consistently solid pizza. The crust hits that ideal balance of crisp and chew, the toppings are generous, and the flavor never disappoints. I can (unfortch) house half an 18-inch pizza myself. But what truly sets Davino's apart is their generosity and community spirit. Right at the front counter, they post a simple message: if you're hungry and don't have money, a meal has already been paid for you. Prepaid tickets hang there - some for two slices and a soda, others even for a full build-your-own 18" pizza. It's a beautiful, tangible act of kindness that can make a real difference for families in need. Makes my heart happy. Great pizza. Great people. A place that genuinely cares about its community. Wouldn't mind if they upgraded their fries to the crinkle cut kind they show on their website and not the long John silver kind, but I'll make do with the 'za. I'm proud to keep supporting Davino's.

Their grilled Caesar salad is large enough to share, with deliciously charred romaine and homemade dressing. We also love sharing the arancini when we are not in the mood for a salad. For entrees, you can't go wrong with their pizza. It's one of our top favorites in the CLT area, as it's cooked in a wood-fired oven, and is both crispy and full of toppings. My husband particularly enjoys the Capricciosa, with artichokes, ham, mushroom, basil, and fresh mozzarella. Their calzones are really good, too. I usually get their lasagna, which is served in a bowl and is made to order. Their bolognese has a complex flavor, and the sauce-to-cheese quotient is just perfect. I always have some leftover to take home. If you have room for dessert, I highly recommend the deconstructed cannoli. It's homemade, and divine. Their gelato is well thought-out, served with a side of espresso to soften the ice cream and add a unique flavor. Presentation is carefully and well-thought out. Service is always good as well, no matter what time of day you visit (we prefer early dinners). We love this place, and will keep it on our "short list" for nearby dining!

Novanta 90 Pizzeria Napoletana is located in the Langtree Shopping Center in Mooresville, NC. The…read moreshopping center offers free parking, but I walked over there from the hotel where I was staying. I was warmly greeted when I entered the restaurant. I was seated facing the kitchen in a booth. I just loved the decor with the bricks, open kitchen, and warehouse ceiling. The wood, beams and bricks were reclaimed materials from Manhattan, adds old world charm. The Easter decorations were a nice touch. My amazing waitress created me a mocktail with ginger beer and cranberry. It was colorful and wonderful. It had some tang to it. The Italian restaurant has Neopolitan pizzas and Italian dishes. It was so hard deciding what to select from the menu. If I hadn't just had shrimp, the shrimp scampi would have been what I ordered. Then there was a lasagna with a bechamel sauce I really wanted. But the pizza won out. My waitress talked me into the salad I was debating, too. The salad was Dolce Crostata. It has mixed lettuce, goat cheese, pancetta, candied pecans and golden raisins. I like the salads with fruit, and this one was wonderful. Novanta means 90 in Italian, which is the 90 seconds it takes to cook the pizza. It goes into the 900-degree Italian wood-fired oven. The pizza was a true Neapolitan with the soft, airy crust and a little bit of char on it. It tasted as good as it looked. I wanted a second pizza after my first slice, but I had trouble finishing the first and had to take half of the salad to go. I did love every bite of the margherita pizza and salad. If I lived closer, I'd eat here weekly as the food is that good. This is a hidden gem.

They're more concerned with making you feel at home than spying on you from another location. The Chicken Parm was excellent. Pasta and vegetables also great. And while bread was somewhat standard, the butter brought it up to a very high level. I don't know what kind of butter that was, but it was really good--good enough that I'm writing more than one sentence about bread and butter. The salad was good but nothing amazing. I'll go with the soup as the side next time. I recommend you do the same. If there is one other negative, their packing for to-go orders is archaic. Lol. They put every item in little plastic bags. But don't let that stop you. Their food is delicious. And while I didn't eat here, the ambiance is homey--that's a W! Prices are relatively fair. Overall, highly recommended.
