So not as many grocery items. The veggies looked fresh. The line for food isn't too long of a wait. I watched as they packed the food to see if they pack as much as the other location. The lady who assisted me packed generously to the people she helped ahead of me. So of course I'm here thinking they do pack as much as the other location. But when it came to me, it wasn't even close. The palabok was packed where the container actually closed with ease. Same with the Kare Kare and Laing. The bihon pancit barely overflowing. If you check out the other photos of other reviewers, you'll know what I mean. And that's how the people ahead of me had their orders packed. I guess that server just picks and chooses who she wants to overpack for. I find that unfair. She looked the youngest out of the four ladies working. I spent practically $60 for what I got. Guess I'm better off going to Suisun city since I've never had been shaded on. The only good customer service I experienced was the sweet lady at the register who rung me up. She was pleasant and convinced to grab dessert. She's pretty much the reason I'm giving at least three stars for this review. The food was good, but probably would taste better if my experience was more positive. Only thing was the noodles in the palabok was a little overcooked. Good thing I got dessert cause the maja was exactly what I was expecting and enjoyed every bite. Other than that, I don't think I'll be wasting my time heading out to this location anytime soon. Took almost an hour to get here to begin with and had that experience as a first impression. I'd rather drive another ten miles to Suisun city.

Traditional Filipino dishes [Vallejo CA]…read more We were in the area and were looking for a place to eat preferably serving Filipino cuisine since we have limited options in Roseville. Hubby found this restaurant and so we drove to the place. First thing you'll notice once you enter the restaurant is the warm temp inside - no AC but they have electric fans going on. To the right is a long shelf with a variety grocery items while the table seating is laid out in the center. TV was tuned in to a channel playing a Filipino movie. This is a "turo-turo" style food ordering, meaning no table service instead you go to where the dishes are cooked in large portions (which is towards the back of the restaurant) and you choose which ones you want. We ordered: Pork Sinigang - a little too sour for me but this is a classic Filipino soup with pork ribs, vegetables, and tamarind broth. Bistek (beef steak) - thin slices of marinated beef before smothered in a deeply savory sauce and topped with golden-seared onions Pork Adobo - classic Filipino dish of pork simmered in vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic Kaldereta - goat meat stew I didn't try the kaldereta but all the other dishes were good and delicious. You will definitely feel the Filipino hospitality here. Street parking. Maraming salamat! Review #3929

Super pillowy steamed bun with ube halaya/jam in the center! Great cozy snack. I also tried the chicken asado one; eh, it was alright as the chicken filling was a little too gloopy for my liking. Anyway, yes this mart is ***fantastic*** if you're looking for hard-to-find Asian food goodies. This mart advertises the ability of customers to request specific items to be sold here, and the owners evidently are receptive to such requests (I mean, there's a freezer corner just dedicated to fruit-shaped ice cream lol). Also, I appreciate that interior-wise it's just an old-school bodega-style mart lol nothing overly trendy like j-pop/k-pop blaring in the store. Good shopping experience for me. :p No fuss with lot parking at all when I visited on an early afternoon Sunday.

Most recently, we had a 10% off coupon that stated in large writing it expired in 7 days, only to be told there was a different expiration date hidden in much smaller print. We were only a few hours past the cutoff, and instead of offering any understanding or trying to help, the staff argued about it. Most companies with decent customer service would honor something like that. As someone with 15+ years in customer service, it's disappointing to see an establishment with so much potential fall so short in this area. The staff comes across as cold, monotone, and uninterested in helping customers. To make matters worse, there seems to be little to no manager or lead support available to assist with bigger issues. Unfortunately, the customer service here has been a zero every time I've visited.

I think I've been to another store in the Cardenas chain years ago. My long ago impression was an…read moreinteresting market with some nice produce, and a startling range products from Mexican, American, and for some reason Asian products. That hasn't changed. I got all excited when I saw the spices in the store. Lots of items that I've never seen in other supermarkets. Items that are scarce to none even in specialty markets, Cardenas stocks, almost casually. Once again, I like the produce section. It was reasonably fresh although I did spot a few tired items. The meat prices were reasonable for a supermarket, but I'm spoiled by Costco prices. Of course I could jam a large variety of meats and produce if I shopped here, but I've gotten used to managing Costco sized food items. Some of the Mexican spices were only available as a sauce. I looked up spices diligently using Google before concluding it was just not available in that particular section. So I wandered through the store two times until I found the sauce section which answered my needs profusely. Since I had gone shopping only yesterday and was stocked up on produce, I ended up purchasing many many spices. Just tried some of them and I'm all excited. I will have to dig up my Mexican cookbook and start working on some recipes. I also purchased some fried pig skin. Insanely heart, unhealthy, and yet keto. Funny, I used to get these as a kid in Chinatown and they were Asian brands, not Mexican. Lest I give you the wrong impression, this supermarket does not focus exclusively on Mexican products. It actually stocks many standard items. So if you're cooking Mexican/American, this is pretty much a one stop shop. Overall, this store was very neat and clean. The shelves were reasonably stocked, although I did notice some sale items were completely missing. I made a quick pass at the prepared and hot foods. Although I did not partake, I noticed the prices for the food were slightly more competitive with other low cost options. I was sorely tempted by the delicious odors, but I had just eaten lunch and this is a situation where my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Overall, I'd like this market and now that I've seen it in more depth I think this will replace Safeway as my alternative supermarket to Costco.

The combo was advertised at $12.99, but the employees insisted that the birria was not a combo, even though the sign clearly showed the birria for $11.99. They do not honor the prices they advertise.

I was craving it since home, especially when our days here have been sweltering. I had no idea where to get it locally, so I asked in a local Facebook group. I was turned on to Super Tehran, which is right by Costco. How convenient! The staff member behind the counter so friendly and helpful! Someone in the group mentioned which brand to get, but I could only see a tiny bottle that said Ayran. They had bigger sizes, but it said yogurt instead. The staff member was happy to help, and confirmed it's Ayran and mentioned there's a mint one as well. I also spotted a variety of Labne, and he shared with me which one was his favorite of that as well. The store is petite, but was quite busy with people. There were numerous things I wanted to try, but I had a fussy baby in tow, so we had to get home. I will most definitely be back and can't wait to try more! The store was clean, had a wide variety of products, plus everything was well in date (sometimes, with international stores, you find that the products have expired or are close to expiration, but this was not the case here, at least in the dairy products I was looking at). I'll be back!
