A couple nights later he emails me. "FYI, we sold that car last night." Little bit immature for a salesmen if you ask me. But glad you sold that car to whoever that poor someone was. Honestly wouldn't recommend this place anyways unless you're really into Volkswagen Beatles or old Chevy race cars.

Seller told us about the minor paint imperfections (which are far worse in person than in pictures) but neglected to mention that a window had been busted out. They tried to hide the broken window by filling it with plexiglass, which I wouldn't have caught if I hadn't touched the window, seeing that the gasket looked odd. Overall I would caution anyone who is considering purchasing a vehicle from Germantown Auto Sales. This type of car lot is where used car salesmen get a bad name.

Since we are no longer in Cleveland and close to where we bought the car, we were directed to Jeff Schmitt South. This would easily be a 5 star review had I not had to call back twice. The first time I called was in November of 2014 to set up an appointment. The guy that answered the phone asked for the recall numbers, well I didn't know what those were and he proceeded to tell me that they should just be on the sheet you received in the mail. I couldn't find them anywhere and asked if I could just give him my husband's VIN number to see what recalls needed done. He rudely said no and "oh, by the way we are booked up until February" then transferred me to some lady who had no clue why I was being transferred. She then tried to put me in touch with a place in Xenia, which is 30 minutes away from me to set me up with an appointment, but never got a call back, like she stated I would. I waited until after Christmas and New Years and called back the first week of January. The lady I spoke with was very nice and explained exactly how many numbers I should be looking for on my paper and where they were located. She also was able to get me in a little over a week later to get the recalls fixed. When I mentioned what the guy told me, she apologized and said your probably got one of the lazy mechanic who didn't want to do anything. Drop off and pickup was very easy and everything was fixed that we needed. The last lady that I spoke with and how nice the people at the service center where saved them from getting a terrible review. A tip I could give Jeff Schmitt, would be to make sure all your staff is trained on customer service if they are going to be handle the phones and speaking with potential customers.
